I probably have fat feet, but these were tight in the elastic straps that crisscross the top. Not exactly uncomfortable, but definitely not flattering. They were cute and looked well made, but they went back.

I wear size 7/7.5 with normal width. Size 7 was the right size. The footbed was very soft and comfortable but the ankle strap was too low on my foot. These didn't work for me so I returned.

I really, really, really wanted to keep these. Ordered both the 8 and the 9. The 8 was way too small, and the 9 seemed to fit, although the right one was a bit looser. But I walked around for about 20 minutes on the carpet and realized there was no way they were going to stay on. I really do wish Born had 1/2 sizes - and 8.5 would be perfect! Sadly they need to go back.

Too narrow for me, and I have a med width foot.

I am continually disappointed that Born no longer offers half sizes in their sandals. A size 9 is too short for me and a size 10 is always too roomy. I have not been able to find a pair of Born sandals that fit since they started making only full sizes. I'm glad they still offer half sizes in closed shoes.

For reference, I usually wear a 7.5. I initially bought these in 8, but they were too big, so I ordered a size 7, and it was too tight. Just wearing it for a couple of seconds, I could feel the upper straps rubbing against my toes. I think these would be very comfortable if you are a true 7 or 8, but not in-between.

Liked the look. Liked the comfort on the foot bed. Hated the fact that the straps across the top of the shoe were so loose. This is the second pair of Born sandals I have ordered this summer and both have the same issue. These would be great for someone with a fleshier foot or maybe even a higher instep. Oh well the hunt continues.

The fit was fine, but the shoe looked and felt pretty cheap. I was looking for a shoe that would be both comfortable enough for walking while traveling, but also nice enough to wear with a dress for dinner. It looks a little too chunky/cheap for the latter, and I don't think it had enough arch support to satisfy the former. I returned them.

Back heel strap grabbed at my foot. I can tell this will hurt if I wear for more than a couple minutes. Will be returning. The gold color is really cute. Padded footbed seems like it would otherwise be comfortable.

The shoe itself fit fine length and widthwise, but the straps on the top of the foot and at the ankle on the right shoe were all stretched out. Too loose so back they go.

The gold is a nicer color than the plain beige, while still being neutral. Unfortunately the style doesn’t suit me, so these are going back.

I usually love Born sandals but the front strap on these cuts into the top of my foot a bit when I walk, and I’m afraid it will chafe over time. They have a light and cushy footbed, but the criss cross straps look matronly on me.

These are an "interesting" sandal. I'm not sure I like them as the two straps that cross in an X are made of elastic, not leather. That gives it a somewhat cheap look, particularly when combined with the gold color. Just be forewarned that they are not all leather.

Very comfortable and fit nicely. The style was a bit clunkier and with the gold it didn't seem sleek enough.

These sandals really feel good on. The problem with them for me is, the cross straps stretch too far and my foot slides forward off the front edge of the sandal.

Disappointed! This shoe is not very comforting with a thin sole and no arch support. I can't describe it as flattering on my foot so I have to return. I recommend Taos or Teva. Zappos service is great.

Shoes are cute -- not too gold or sparkly and would be a good neutral. I typically wear a medium width but the front band was too narrow on my foot and actually was hurting my little toe. Have to return :(. Thank you Zappos for making shoe shopping so easy!

Have worn Born sandals in the past, ordered my size, these were way too tight and the style looked old age home appropriate... like my foot was wrapped in shiny bandages. Terrible.

Very cute shoe, nice quality, but the strap nearest the toes is too tight and squashes my foot. Have not had a similar issue with other Born shoes.

I love Born shoes but have a hard time with the even size sizing. The back(heel) strap of this is loose on my foot. I am lining it with moleskin I have cut to hold it in place and hope it works, since the footbed and the front of the shoe is comfy. I usually wear an 8.5, and the 8 would be too small, so I am working from a 9. Hoping I can make it work, since I am wearing them today and will be unable to return if there is still a problem.

These sandals are exceedingly comfy and true to size. However, I returned the first pair after only wearing them 5 times because the leather looked splotchy as if it were worn and weathered. The 2nd pair looked better initially but after wearing only a couple of times, they too, look weathered. Born does stipulate with these that the leather might have slight discrepancies...therefore, I intend to keep them because I love the fit and they are attractive. I am hoping that a good leather polish will help them to not look so weathered!

Very comfortable shoe bed, could walk on all day. Straps too wide and not flattering on my wide toe box.

I had always loved Born shoes, but these sandals are unwearable for me. The heel strap won’t stay put and these end up as slides within 5 steps. They’re really flat and i have tried adding arch supports which helps but they’re very visible. The shoes make a noise when I walk, like forcing air out of the cushion insole. I bought these ages ago but wore them once which made them unreturnable. They might work for you but they didn’t work for my size 10, narrow heeled feet.

These were so comfortable! But the back strap was positioned so low it felt like it was slipping off. Also, straps are gold painted elastic, not leather. Sadly, I returned.

Wore them once and they broke. Fabric felt cheap.
