I wear this neck gaiter while out doing early morning and evening horse chores. Living in the CO mountains these are typically the coldest parts of the day so this comes in handy for cold temps and wind. I love this gaiter because it's warm and breathes well. I'll be buying another one! Thanks Smartwool.

I wear Smartwool head to feet on my cold morning walks here in Colorado. Keeps neck warm and I use it as a mask as I walk past people. Glad I bought this and wish I had a second one. Most likely will buy another. 2 thumbs up!

I run with a neck gaiter all winter, and this one was particularly windy, which is where the gaiter shines. If you've got two hands free, easy to pull up for makeshift COVID-19 courtesy. I waited til this was on sale as it's way overpriced for what it is. But I LOVED the canyon print, so glad I stalked it all winter! The material is not cheap nylon, but it's also not cumbersome like a scarf. It's just right!

Material is great, super soft. It's comfortable to wear. I primarily wear it while coaching outdoor soccer and while walking/hiking. I usually wear mine folded for an added layer of protection.

I use the Merino 150 Neck Gaiter for Nordic skiing. This light weight gaiter is great for protecting my face from biting winds or fast descents. I recently brought this gaiter along on a 3-day hut-to-hut Nordic trip; it was nothing to pack but great protection during the high wind and snow conditions encountered. Because of its light weight, the neck gaiter is great for aerobic activities and dries really quickly. It is. This gaiter can be worn as a headband, hat, scarf, balaclava, or face mask and therefore is a very useful and versatile piece.

I have about ten of these and wear them every day to do a variety of things... doubled up as a headband to keep my hair in line, warm my neck, act as a runner's face mask during Covid, etc etc etc. These are the most versatile pieces of clothing I have ever had (yes more than bandana/handkerchief) and I highly recommend them.

Keeps my face an neck warm during those frigid days on the ski slopes. Also doubles as a mask while in the chalet and in the lift lines. Very comfortable fabric and quality construction.

I wear it in moderate to cold weather as a gaiter and sometimes pull it up to cover my nose to keep it warm. It is much more comortable than the nylon balaclava I already had. I really recommend this gaiter for warmth and comfort.

I do a lot walking around town and this gaiter is the perfect weight and length. Some other reviews complain about the length, but they probably don't realize that it comes folded in itself at half length. It's plenty long enough to double up over my mouth and nose while still covering my neck. Just what I was hoping for.

With winter coming, I was looking for the best insulation so that I could continue running outside for as long as possible in the Chicago cold. Smartwool and the Merino neck gaiter were recommended by a running store in Chicago, and the product certainly punches above its weight. You most likely already know the benefits of Merino wool or you wouldn't be here. When it comes to this product, don't be fooled by the lightweight feel of the gaiter. I've used it once or twice already in temps down in the mid-20sF and it certainly helps to keep the cold - and the wind blowing in from Lake Michigan - at bay. It's got a nice soft feel to it and feels more comfortable when pulled up around the face than the gaiters I own from another company (mentioning no names, but sounds like Huff). I imagine this is going to be a well-used product these next few months.

Really stoked on the 150 Neck Gaiter for active recreation. I have used this one for summer hiking. Never overheated thanks to wool. And odor-resistant / not needing to be washed after each use. Wool is the best! This 150 weight is perfect for all seasons when getting active. I will be using this one for nordic skiing all winter long. I also have the 250 Long Neck Gaiter and appreciate it for staying warm and cozy while at work (thermostat wars ensue in my office!) but the 150 weight is perfect for active outputs. It would be even better if the 150 could be slightly longer! So I could really tuck it into the neck opening of my baselayer to really protect from wind. Overall - great and Smart Wool please keep on making these 150 Neck Gaiters!

Was looking for a neck gaiter to use in these times that was natural fiber, multiple layers thick, and not too warm for late summer, early fall. This is perfect.

This is a must-have piece for those cold and windy days on the ski hill. It's also great for sun protection while out hiking or fishing. Super comfy, not too hot, not too cold.

Exactly what I was looking for for winter runs. Calif isn't brutal in winter but the wind while running is. I have more choices on the tops I wear if I can use this with any top and not be limited to ones that are zip ups that the necks never go high enough to keep the wind out. Merino wool is light, breaths and washes well. I love the tops made of this for running and this neck warmer is no exception.

Have used these lighter weight gaiters year round while cycling, hiking or just plain living. The climate in Virginia rarely gets below 20, and in any kind of active situation the light weight 150 gaiter it PERFECT.
