I wish the waist band sat higher, and the bottom of the leg sat lower; the underwear isn't tall enough, despite being perfectly wide.

I got these as an pair of underwear I can wear after work, or during downtime. Not hiking, not working hard, etc. However, after just 2 months of light use I can already see through them in parts, and the durability is definitely in question. It's a real bummer because they're comfortable and soft, but I don't like the fact that I would have to buy them over and over again. The idea of merino wool is to be able to wear them for multiple days if needed, but I feel like if I started to do this, they would wear out really quick.

Same great underwear but they've made the tag larger and of less comfortable material. I guess the thing to do now it cut them out. I preferred the old smaller, softer tag. We'll see if it becomes an annoyance and I attempt to cut it out without ruining the stitching on the band.

I had several of these for years and they were my favorite underwear ever. I bought 5 new pairs but the quality is not the same. They are thinner and stiffer, with much less give at the waist. Time will tell if they hold up.

I have had twenty pairs of these boxers. They fit me perfectly. BUT, for the price you pay, if they are your everyday boxer, you may want to avoid these. They wear in the seat/crotch very badly, I am guessing from friction against shorts and pants. So, ultimately are probably not worth the money.

Love how comfortable they are and how they don't get stinky when we are out camping. However my latest pair has a huge run in the left side. I also don't like how they put physical tags in the inside of the boxers

Got several pairs for regular use and they are comfy (especially in warm weather). But each has worn thin after about 6 months of use.

These underwear lasted than a year. They just felt like a short lifespan for such an expensive pair of undies. They were super comfy though.

Newest iteration is softer, but not as tight on legs (and I have big thighs.) Please bring back the seamless boxer briefs with full wool! Please!!!!

A bit old-fashioned and blousy in the fit.

I wear a medium in all brands of underwear. I thought I'd try these luxury underpants and they are just to tight. I do like the large waste-band that others criticized.

My plan was to wear these during hunting and ski trips. The problem is they ride and are not long enough.

First time buying these. I purchased two pair. I wear a medium in every other boxer brief I own, 32-33" waist. These are a very tight fit. I'd order large next time. Other than that, they seem fine so far.

sizing tends to be on small end; good functionality for activity base layer

I really wanted to love these underwear! The material is so comfortable but the fit and cut of these just isn't up to par. The sizing isn't the issue as a smaller size wouldn't fit my waist, but the material is very loose fitting, especially in the seat of these underwear. They tend to ride and bunch up Wish they fit better because the fabric is very comfortable. Can't really return worn underwear or I would. Just won't be buying another pair. Besides the comfort of the fabric the one other thing I did like about these is that the wool material goes all the way up and covers the inside of the waistband so the wool is next to your skin, not the elastic. Really bummed about the fit of these though.

I sweat more while wearing these and they have a loose fit for a boxer brief. I probably won't be buying another pair.

Loved the fabric and how it handles sweat and heat. The only issue is that they rode up on my thigh.

I have had nothing but luck and success with smart wool which is why this is difficult. The underwear I purchased has 2 very strong seams. One on the waist and one on the legs. It squeezes tightly and makes them uncomfortable overall. The material is second to none and seems very durable.

For about 50 dollars this underwear is a complete rip off. doesn't feel any different than a cheap cotton multipack. And the wool benefits aren't even fully there as it is 12% polyester

smartwool changed the cut and n these, making them quite loose, more like a boxer. after wearing them, and many purchases, for 15 years, i will be looking for a brand that fits snugly, like a boxer brief, like these used to.

Wanted to LOVE these. Had them ~6mo and just pulled them out of the wash, and they were ripped. Took extreme care of them, following the rules to a T, and this still happened. Hoping SmartWool will help take care of the situation.
