This used to be a great hat. I absolutely loved my old one but the fit fir the new versions are off. They are well built, rugged, look good and fit nicely into my pocket. The new versions also do not fold up as smoothly and easily as the old one. I'd buy it again if they made a few more sizes but for now the large is far too big and the medium is far to tight.

I bought this as a light weight hat for my fieldwork in south Florida because it was offered in different sizes and that's hard to find. However, it is still big on my and is likely to fly off with a light breeze and especially when doing my boat work so I will have to return it. I got the size small but it was still too big. Too bad they don't make an extra small or if only it was adjustable a little! Very disappointing because it is a very nice lightweight hat!

I liked the idea of a cap that could pack easily and I could pull out if it were rainy or bright out. It serves the purpose. I keep it in my EDC bag and use it when needed.

Nice fabric. Very compact.
UNFORTUNATELY..... it's airtight. It traps air between the hat and your head, and you're walking around with this weird inflated pillow on your head. I actually poked holes in mine to help the air esacape, but after a few minutes it sucks the air right back in and reinflates. Looking for a similar replacement.

I've been wearing the Radar Pocket caps for years. During lockdown I purchased 3 and when I finally got the chance to wear one I was instantly shocked that the same size I've been wearing for years (s/p) was now completely too small. I could not wear one without it squeezing my head to the point of headache. And of course...by the time I realized this it was past the return date.

I own this cap in Pewter and thought it would be fun to have a blue one. When I got it, I found the blue to be almost identical to the pewter. It's silly to have both so I returned the (not very) blue one.

I find fitted hats to be more comfortable than ones that are adjustable. Unfortunately, the medium was too big and the small is too small.

After measuring my husband's head per the size guide for this hat, we ordered the Large. It was too small.

We measured my husband's head per the size guide for this hat, and ordered a Large that corresponded to his measurement. The Large was too small, so we sent it back and ordered an XL. Sadly, this hat was even tighter than the Large! OR graciously sent a different XL, and it is too big. There seem to be sizing problems with this hat.

The fig looked darker greys but is actually lavander, not what I wanted. I also ordered the green and it looked great. Both were too small and although they were both labeled M they were very different in actually size which makes ordering again unlikely. The fig didn't even come close to fitting while the green was significantly larger it was still too snug for my comfort. I'm always hesitant when two items the labeled the same size are so far off. Maybe I need to order 3 or four of a large and pick the best?

I used the size chart and measured my head using my sewing measuring tape. So orderd a small. Was waay to small - about fit my 7-year-old. Luckily turns out my mom has the hat in a medium, so I tried on hers to make sure the med fits. At 21.5" circumference, the med will fit, although the size chart doens't reflect that.

As others have said, I love my original hat winning I was in the market for a back-up hat in case I ever lost this one or wore it out. I ordered the large, same as the one I have now, but it fits a little too big and runs the risk of blowing off in the wind. The medium size is just a bit too snug to be comfortable. Please bring back the old sizing on these hats!!

My hat size 7-3/8. Large is so big it covers my ears with room to spare and the medium is so tight can't get on my head. About the fourth time I've tried because I really like the hat. Returned or given away all my attempts and moved on to another brand. Also, weirdly the kettle cap medium fits perfect so I just don't know. Good luck.

What's the deal with the Radar Pocket Cap? They keep getting smaller and smaller: now the XL does not fit my huge head, but it is not because my head is getting any bigger. I'm currently on my 4th cap, but as XL no longer is XL it seems I have to find a new supplier.

I use these hats for everything. I'm bald and so having a hat that is always with me in case someone wants to stand in the sun for a while or there's a cold AC vent is my go-to. I recently lost one of my OR hats and realized I only had one left. So, I ordered a few more - all XL because I have a XL noggin. To my immense dissapointment the sizing has changed! The XL is now a normal L size. L size can get onto my head but leaves me with a headache from being too tight. The old sizing tag says "XL/LG." The new sizing says "XL" but is actually just a normal large size - which means there is no longer an OR hat that will fit an XL head. So disappointed! These hats are what turned me on to OR. I've thousands of dollars of gear from this company because of this awesome hat that NOBODY ELSE makes. This is quite a stress inducing tragedy in my life because I now only have one of these hats left which has become something of a prosthesis to protect my large, bald head from the elements.

I had the same problem with this hat as I had with the Swift hat. The bill is cut asymetrically so that one side is longer and dips much farther down than the other side. Not sure if that's a bizarre new style or just poor quality control by OR. After 10 minutes of wear it annoyed me so much I gave it away.
