GREAT hat

OR is the best!

I bought this for extra protection from the sun while on the water. A baseball hat just doesn't cut it but this thing is great!

Great Hat!

I've worn the Helios Sun Hat for many years while doing fieldwork as a wildlife biologist and adventuring during my free time. It works well as a sunhat and I like that the brim is fairly rigid so it doesn't flop down.

Great light weight sun hat.

On our way to Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia for 6 weeks.

Love this hat - it's light, packable, great for walking around or hiking on a sunny day.

Cooler than other sun hats I've tried and lightweight

For starters, I have had multiple compliments on the hat where ever it has been worn. Worn it at work. Had it out on the lake fishing. Wore it to a golf tourney. Wear it out on walks with the family. Have had various people tell me they really like the hat and have inquired about where to get it. Have wore the hat all-day long in various weather situations and have found it to be comfy and that it has breathed well the whole time. It is not water proof but has given decent reprieve from the rain while casting line at the lake side. Adjustable chin strap has been handy when out in stormy conditions.

Great warm weather hat. Packs easily and looks good.

I bought one of these hats at a sporting goods store and loved it so much, I went online to buy four more as spares. I love the camo pattern, the extra-wide brim, and the way they come in extra large. This is by far my favorite hat.

This hat was a gift for my husband, a painter. He likes the packability, the lightweight fabric and the darker fabric under the brim which helps cut glare. I have the same hat for hiking and gardening. It's bomb.

I've got two Helios hats! The 50/50 multi cam hat is my favorite due to the materials used! It holds its shape better and looks better. The 86/14 regular helios is cooler in the heat - but it tends to poof up and look odd. Don't get me wrong - both are VERY good, durable hats. I've tried to wear them out. I just can't wear my favorite multicam hat everywhere.... I save that for true outdoor adventures. I want one just as perfect for everything else. For now my regular Helios works...but I know OR can do better!!

Purchased this hat over a decade ago for backcountry use. I have used it in deserts, heavy rainfall (dries fast), windy weather (draw cord is great for this), on glaciers and cascade mountain ascents for sun protection, traveled everywhere with it overseas. It folds nicely, lightweight, stitching has never come undone considering the heavy use. Retains it's shape when unpacked from extended storage. I live in eastern WA and jog with it as summers can average high 90's F. Great hat, it has never let me down.

Although Chinese-made, this product is very well made. It is fully-adjustable, provides ample shade and is lightweight. I hope I never lose it.

All around great hat. My 3 year old son started wearing my hat, so we've now got 4 of them in our house.

This hat kept my shaved head from turning red on my 5 mile kayak trip today. I just bought it last week and this was the first use. So far, I'm a happy camper. The brim is a little stiffer than my old floppy hat, which i really appreciate. Good product.

I have used this hat for years. Backpacking, hiking, canoeing, climbing, you name it. I don't really like hats so being able to keep this hat in my pocket is great, then when ever the sun comes out I just put this on and with a touch of sun screen on my nose I'm good to go. It packs down very small, you can easily fit it in a large pocket or stuff it in your pack. The shape doesn't stay perfect but I have been crumpling it for years with out a problem. Only complaint is that it tends to sit very lightly on my head and pop of in the wind if I don't tighten the draw cord, I have more hair than most folks so maybe that's the reason. The elastic draw cord helps but it still wont keep it on with out the draw cord.

This lightweight hat quickly replaced a similar style hat I used to wear. This one is lighter and breathes much better.

I enjoy this hat in both sunny and mildly wet weather conditions, my mother, aged 82, doesn't go outside in summer without hers and my wife is equipped with one too (family recommendation). Three strikes for the pros.

I was given this as a gift after having skin cancer removed from my face. I needed a good hat for sun protection. This hat was everything we had hoped for. It is much cooler than other hats I own including a wide-brimmed straw Panama hat, an Army 'Boonie' hat and a cotton floppy. It maintains its shape when traveling, cleans up easily and is a bit more stylish that my other options. I also like the drawstring that allows for adjustment to tighten it up in windy weather or loosen it up when the temperature is over 100. I wish I had saved my self the money on those other hats and purchased this one sooner.
