They fit fine. But I have another pair of yellow Dansko sandals that are a much nicer yellow and look great on me. These just look blah and the yellow is darker than the ones I already have.

My "Revised" Review: I went down 1 Size and the "Very Large" Strap around heel was somewhat BETTER. But...still.....the weight of this shoe STILL rests on the strap over Instep. In Dansko: I can be a 38 or a 39 (depending on HOW style is made). I think the reason I feel it ALL rests over my Instep: 1) It is really sort of a CLOG - in that the shoe does NOT really bend. and 2) I have a "thin" foot (NOT "High Volume). Think "Bony" I plan to order 2 other Dansko Sandals WITH an Adjustable Heel Strap.

The Shoe has potential. EXCEPT the heel strap is VERY long and not adjustable. Because this shoe has a Stiff sole (and it does NOT bend when you walk) the weight of the shoe presses on the ankle strap!! I do have NARROW heels and Achilles Tendon AREA. It is NOT uncommon for me to find a heel strap a little too big. But: With other companies (Taos, Vionic) AND in other styles I manage to wear a sandal of OR open toes shoes EVEN IF there is a tiny bit of extra room at heel strap. I will try 2 other Dansko styles with ADJUSTBLE heel straps. Good Points: Toes were wide enough, outer sole was firm enough for my Morton's Neuroma.

I order this before for a smaller size, so I order it again with the right size and it didn’t make no difference I still don’t like it.

I'm always between sizes in Dansko, but I thought I'd try again with this style. The white is very jarring however; I looked like a little girl on easter or a grandmother going to get the mail. Not flattering. Yellow much cuter but sizing is still wonky for my feet.,

Just don’t like Velcro straps is all because they often get undone.

The shoes themselves are nice, but the fit was very odd on me. It seemed the shoe slanted in the wrong direction. At the toes, the shoe was shifted 1/2-1 inch to the outside, so that if I didn't put my foot under the front strap, my big toe would have hung off to the inside. Sadly had to return these.

My fault for not being aware, but - the buckles are not real.  I guess my focus was on the heel height and sturdiness, as well as the overall look of the shoe. I have never seen velcro on anything other than a gym shoe or water/shower shoe before. So that was a bit of a disappointment because it's a cute shoe.  I have now read other reviews on concerns of the durability of the velcro, plus the tendency of the velcro to curl.  I have been wearing Dansko for over 25 years and I will typically keep a pair for upwards of five years, until the soles finally start to wear down or the leather is beyond conditioning.  Not sure the velcro will hold out that long, and who wants to fool around trying to find a shoe repair that will put buckles on?  Also, not sure the velcro will have that tiny bit of daily "give" that a buckle would allow for, just in general movement of the ankle.  Velcro seems to be hard to get "just right".  It's either tight or loose, and when it's loose, my foot slides around and when it's tight, it presses into the foot.  Realizing that left and right feet are not the same size, one shoe did have a noticeable bit more of extra space beyond the big toe.  It was enough that I considered downsizing from 38 to 37, although in a low-heel like this one, i would typically be a 38. And finally - one of the shoes did squeak. I saw that mentioned in one other review.  So whether I decide to go with this style or not, this particular pair will go back.

It is slippery to walk in

My toes slid too far into the front of the sandal (I have a wide toe box, so this surprised me). I also didn't like how it looked on my foot.

Comfortable and cute, but a little old lady-ish, and also a little heavy. Now that I'm older myself, they're a little too on the nose!!

FYI, the photos of the Stone Burnished Calf color have one photo of a grey shoe and all the other photos are of a dark brown shoe. I didn't see the one grey-colored photo and ordered thinking I was going to receive a brown shoe, but received grey. I think someone must have uploaded the wrong photos for this color. If you want brown, don't order the Stone Burnished Calf color. I'm exchanging they grey shoes for the lighter brown color. Overall, the shoes are beautiful and incredibly comfortable, now I know why people love Danskos so much!

These sandals were so comfortable. I really wanted to keep them but the fake textured wood grain looked so cheap and awful , I just couldn’t justify the price.

I am usually an 8 and these were just too short in the length.

I've worn these sandals twice before and ordered a new a pair this year. It was shocking to find that they literally fit a half size smaller than my previous pairs. I ordered 2 different 39's just to see if the sizing was off on one pair (this has happened with Dansko clogs before). But, I've finally ordered the 40 and they fit. And I mean fit perfectly. I just find it odd that the sizing was off. I think if you sit in a half size situation like me...one foot is more of an 8.5 and the other one is a 9, maybe order 2 of the same shoe in 2 sizes to make sure you are finding the right fit for you.

In this latest iteration of the Dansko rocker bottom sandal, I found that the leather straps are much too rough and stiff - it was immediately clear, even wearing them around the house, that they would likely cut into my feet. The arch support is great, the footbed is great and soft, the Mango color is nice, maybe not my favorite but if I'd have liked the style overall and thought it would be comfortable I'd have just gotten another color. I miss the styles (Sissy!) from a few years ago and the softer nubuck straps. I sent these back.

I bought my usual size (40) and my toys are hanging over the front. I also didn't like the styling in the front, too much for shows. In addition, the strap is velcro rather than a true buckle. I will be sending these back.

I couldn't comfortably tighten the strap across my foot. Also you have to like walking on a platform that doesn't bend or flex.

These looked nice with a retro feel, but my toes were too close to the edge of the shoe. I also didn't like that my middle toe was fully exposed, it looked a little odd. There is no bend in the sole so a lot of pressure on the ankle strap with every step. They just didn't work for me.

I first bought these shoes in a 38, then 39, and finally a 40. They run very small in length. I love the color, the style, the arch support, and the comfort. The blue color is adorable. But there are two things that are keeping me from committing to this shoe. First, they have that nubuck/suede sole that will be dirty within the first week of wearing them outdoors. Seriously, I don't know why any companies use this material for a footbed unless it is black. It is impossible to keep clean. My second problem is the fit. On the 39s, my toes come right to the end of the shoe. If I waked fast, they would probably slide over. The 40s are a little longer than I would like and the ankle strap doesn't fit properly on the part that isn't adjustable. I so want to love these shoes and keep them, but I haven't decided yet. If you can get them in the proper fit and plan on wearing them in a place where you can keep the footbed clean, buy them - they are amazing.

These are cute - but they run pretty small - my toes were falling off the front and I consistently wear the same size in Danskos. Also the closures are all velcro - just FYI I didn't realize that til I got them.

Based on reviews I ordered a size up so the length was ok, but they are definitely on the short side. The reason I returned them is the style. I usually want fancier sandals to wear to work and more casual sandals to wear on my off days so these are just not appropriate for me - too fancy for every day and too casual for work. They are also a little too frumpy and clunky for my preference, and I think it’s because of the “wood grain” - I’m sure they would be perfect for some ladies but they just didn’t fit the bill for me. Really excited about the Taos ones I found though! :-)

I loved the Dansko Stevie in metallic, they were my staple sandal for the summer, and for some reason they only make them in black and white now, and the black one has a gray footbed, which looks totally weird. I was hoping these would be a good substitute, but alas, the straps across the top of the shoe just don't look good. Bring back the Stevie in more colors!

Very cute and well-made shoe. The adjustable straps at the toes and ankles are great. Excellent quality like all Danskos. However, in a size 42, this sandal seemed at least a half-size smaller in length than my other Dankso sandals in similar styles. In these sandals, my toes hung off the front edge, while in other styles, there is still space between my toes and the front edge.
