Great heel height. Love the Velcro buckle. Runs short but have to keep them cuz they're so cute!

These are not the cutest Danskos one could buy, but I was tempted by the reviews regarding their comfort. So far, they live up to the hype. The key for me is that fact that the straps are cleverly disguised velcro, so you can loosen or tighten as your foot shape dictates. When I travel to hot and humid environments my feet have a tendency to swell. These will be great travel shoes for those situations as I will be able to expand them if my feet swell.

These are the cutest shoes, but they run small. My big toe came slightly over the edge, so I will be returning them. I normally love Danskos, but unfortunately they don’t have the next size up available.

These are my first Danskos and I love them. Very comfortable shoe and stylish for a "comfort" shoe or ortho approved design. If they were not so expensive I would order additional colors. My podiatrist recommended Dansko for morton's neuroma and advised to get a platform or clog style with a roomy toe box, arch support and limited heel. I can wear these without nerve discomfort, something I cannot say about most shoes. The others reviewers were not wrong when they said to order at least a half size up from what you would otherwise think is your appropriate size or the size your normally order in Dansko.

I loved the look of these shoes and they were quite comfortable - nice heel - but I have long toes and they hung just a bit too far over the front of the shoe - alas, back they went.

Loved the style, but my foot was too long and narrow, and my toes extended past the shoe. Not a good look!

Good quality and supportive shoe, however the sandal would have been so much better if the back strap was adjustable. The gap between the strap and the back of my ankle did not work for me and unfortunately is the reason I had to return it.

So comfy but didn’t look great on my foot for what I was looking for.

The best thing about this Dansko is the adjustable width. It makes this shoe very comfortable.

This shoe fits very well and is as comfortable as the other Dansko sandals I have owned in the past. But I am not excited about the style and am still debating whether to keep them. I was hoping for a little more interesting heel and a tiny bit more height to make them look more sophisticated. They are a bit clunky and matronly, in my opinion. I want a black, heeled sandal to wear with casual dresses that is comfortable and works for someone with a narrower foot. This is the closest option that Dansko offers this year, but in looks it is really closer to a day shoe.

I like these shoes and wanted to keep them except they were too wide for me. I could slip two fingers under the band over my foot. I would recommend a narrow size if your feet are generally medium width. Returning mine.

I really want a pair of Danskos but just can't make them work. I have a narrow foot and wear about a size 11.5. I tried other Danskos and they are too wide and too short. I ordered these in a size 42 thinking they may work because they are open toe and both straps are velcro so they can be snugged up around my foot. These did not work. The toes on my smaller foot that is closer to a size 11 hung off the end by about a 1/4inch. I was able to tighten the shoe around my foot but then it looked lopsided. The footbed seemed like it would be comfortable and the leather seemed soft enough so as to be comfortable right from the first wearing. The shoe did seem a bit heavy with the wooden bottom.

My painful feet loved these shoes! The thick platform absorbed the shock of walking around, and the nicely padded footbed cradled my painful feet in comfort. This was my first time trying Danskos and I liked the feel of these. I will be trying them again. But these are going back. Why? The design is not very attractive on a wide foot. I liked the idea of velcro across the toes to allow you to make the toe area a little wider. Unfortunately, this created an odd look at the front of the shoe--instead of an attractive design of leather straps gathered in the center, there was one thin strap stretching across the middle connecting the two gathered ends. It looked like it had been loosened for a wide foot. And the velcro that seals the ankle strap under the decorative buckle it a feature I just don't like. I find it difficult to line up velcro going around my ankle and it shows and makes the buckle look fake. This one fails in the style category for me. They were comfy, so I am disappointed.

I LOVE these shoes but knocked off a star because of the sizing. As others have mentioned, these definitely run short. I wear a size 10.5 and prefer (but don't always require) a wide width. I have a terrible unresolved foot injury so I'm dealing w/ a severely pronating ankle. I own several Dansko shoes and have been a loyal Dansko customer for over 25 years. This is the first and only time I've ever had to size up to a size 42. I ALWAYS wear a size 41 and could typically get away w/ a size 40 of it weren't for my foot injury issue and slightly wife foot. Being a size 10.5 (a size that 98% of shoe manufacturers don't bother making!), I'm used to sizing up or down to get a decent enough fit. With sandals I usually size down to a 10. With closed toe shoes and boots I usually size up (depending on brand) and add an adhesive heel grip pad to help make the shoe fit a bit smaller. My point is I'm closer to a size 10 than an 11. I've never in my entire life required anything over a size 11 and have certainly never bought a size 42 before. I probably own 18-20 pair of size 41 Dansko shoes right now. But these are very short! I should've heeded the advice of other reviewers and sized up but I didn't. Luckily, Zappos makes my exchange super easy! I'm sending these back as my big toe is hanging over the toe edge. I hope the size 42 isn't too long because these are choc and incredibly comfortable - even being too short in length and even w/ my injury and fit problems! I bought these in the camel and once I get the size figured out I plan on buying these in another color. The Velcro makes these totally adjustable in width and I'm really looking forward to being able to custom fit my pronating ankle foot and my normal one. Even w/ my messed up foot the Velcro on these isn't visible. Dansko did a great job matching the Velcro on cut and color so no one can tell these shoes even have Velcro. Aside from the sizing, these are PERFECT!

These sandals are very pretty. I really love the look and feel when I put them on. However, I have to return them. The toe closure and the ankle strap are made with Velcro. My previous experience with Velcro straps has always ended with the strap curling when the Velcro no longer wants to adhere. I'm really dissapointed in the quality of this sandal. I have several Dansko sandals and shoes that are great quality. It's so pretty and I really wanted a cute white sandal for the summer. I simply refuse to pay this much for Velcro closures.

As a regular Dansko-wearer, I was expecting to love these. They are fine, but I don’t love them. I’m returning and hoping for something better next summer. Pros: Pretty good (but not excellent) arch support, completely adjustable strap on toe box, completely adjustable ankle strap, comfortable Cons: the camel color is much darker in person (and I didn’t want my sandal to be that dark), style is not inspired (not a “grandma” look, but not youthful or creative in any way), the tongue on fake buckle sticks out, no elastic on the ankle straps like my old sandals (so slightly less comfortable)

The color of the Dansko system in the metallic gold shimmer is great. And in the past I wore Dansko all summer. However, lately the arch support is just not there like I used to remember it. These felt a little heavy as well.

These ran a little short as a 40. I wear 9.5 and 40 should have worked, but my toes were nearly hanging over the top. In order to try to pull my toes back, I would have had to tighten the strap so much that it would have dug into my ankle. And that's when I decided that this kind of design doesn't really work for me: my foot slides forward, and tightening the ankle strap only emphasizes my swollen ankles. A t-strap or multiple strap arrangement works much better for me. If you have no problem with this style, it was a very comfortable shoe otherwise and I will keep an eye out for other styles.

Wow, these are comfortable. And for a "comfort shoe" they aren't super hideous looking. I love shoes and I'm not a fan of anything that "looks" comfortable. But I recently had bunion surgery and need recovery shoe. My doctor vetoed the lower cost TOMS and Croc ballet flats I was hoping to wear because they don't provide enough forefoot cushioning or arch support (even with my orthotics). Anything with even a remotely narrow toe box (think Tory Burch ballet flat) is PAINFUL!! My foot wants to be in a "foot shaped" shoe with lots of arch support like a Birkenstock which is really cramping my style!! (fun fact: recovery to full range of motion and no swelling after bunion surgery takes (on average) 6-12 months. MONTHS!!). I was a server for years and LOVED my Marcelle Mary Jane's... AT WORK. Not anywhere else! They look like Nun shoes! But they are super supportive and I could walk for MILES in those shoes- even with my bunions!! I'm looking for a supportive shoe I can wear to work that has the following 2 characteristics: 1. A sandal style shoe with an adjustable toe box (in case my foot starts to swell, I can loosen the fit) 2. Not super hideous looking PRO * Both straps are velcro and super easy to adjust (I was skeptical, but the velcro is really secure!) * Kind of has a retro look... (reminiscent of my beloved Hasbeen Peep-Toes which HURT right now) * Very supportive- same footbed as Dankso Pro Clogs and Dansko Marsalle (mary janes) CON * Not compatible with orthotics (not really an issue for me) I wear a 7/7.5 and usually wear a 38 in Dansko. I got these in a 38 but my toes are right at the end. The size 39 fits with about 1/4 inch between my toes and the edge which is the "correct" fit. But I thought that much room at the toe looked weird in a sandal and went with the 38. I have no regrets, even at the end of day with swollen feet :) (I also tried the Dansko Vanna but it was too wide in toe box (even on smallest buckle) and overall not supportive enough) For anyone else in the market for the post bunionectomy shoe or even just a not-so-hideous comfort shoe, I hope that you find this helpful!

Very cute sandal; unfortunately I ordered my size and my big toe hangs off the end. Going to try one size up and hope it fits.

Pros: fully adjustable at the foot and ankle, the velcro is not obvious (decorative buckle at the ankle, flat velcro closure at the foot blends into the design), straps are narrow for a more feminine look, footbed is soft and cushioned to hug the foot. Leather outer is soft and quality. Cons: the shoe is quite heavy and with only the slender ankle strap holding them on, they feel like they'll cut into the ankle. Overall: great for standing, maybe not so much for walking, attractive fora comfort shoe

Felt very comfortable when I tried them out of the box. I usually wear 38 but will have to go a size up since my toes touched the end. Good thing the front is adjustable so I can make it fit a little snugger.

Don't you love it when the comfort shoe brands offer us a nude/light beige for the summer? These look like a million bucks on my size 5.5-6 foot, and will be worn at a HS reunion celebrating the early 70's so hey, Dansko platforms! Love, love Zappos service. Pretty, adjustable strap at toes and ankle. The style "Monika" I fit a 38, these, my toes go over the edge, will try size 39.
