I needed a pair of hiking shoes that provided comfort and support. The MOAB 2 Ventilator does both perfectly! They are lightweight and fit right off the bat. No need to break them in. In fact, I did a 5 mile hike first time wearing them and felt no discomfort. I am very pleased with my purchase and will buy this brand again. Thank you for making such a comfortable and sturdy hiking shoe.

I've worn Merrell for years. I have a long narrow foot. I usually wear a 10.5 shoe so I go with 11. No breaking in can wear right out of the box. I use the shoe for hiking and walking. No problems.

I loved the Moab right out of the box, which is saying quite a lot, as I have many foot issues. This shoe addressed them all, and buying a half-size larger allowed me to insert the orthotics from my podiatrist plus wear two pairs of socks if desired to take up extra space, though am able to wear one and still feel comfortable. If there could be any 'con', it would be that I feel too hot in the Florida summer with these shoes, and would like to find something lighter for that time of the year, though I do wear them anyway. I love the larger toe box and arched insole, that I use over my orthotic, as per my podiatrist. They show no wear after climbing around the rocky hills on the Isle of Skye and the grip going up and down a steep incline is great...the soles look like new still, after a couple of years. I bought them because a friend had wonderful results after walking the Camino in Spain... hers seemed to have little wear, as well, after hundreds of miles. Next time I'll buy the waterproof ones, as these certainly are not, and in Scotland, that's very useful!

My new Moabs are awesome for so many reasons - my wide feet and toe challenges find great comfort and quality construction in Moab for serious hikes and long days at work. There is no 'breaking-in' time needed....just lace up and go! These shoes are stylish with a nice neutral color and I look forward to wearing them 8+ hours/day! Thanks again for a wonderful product!

I am doing the Camino this summer and needed a shoe that would hold up, yet not be too hot. Although I haven't taken them on the trip yet, they've been very comfortable in training.

Purchased last fall and love the shoe. Need a good arch support and this shoes provides it. Toe box is nice and wide. Love it.

I have foot problems,but I can wear these shoes all day . I've tried a lot of shoes. These are the best. I'm wearing my second pair now.

I love this shoe and it is great I can get a Women's Wide. One of the best features is the wide toe box. It helps make the shoe fit comfortably with no toe squishing. Please do not change that feature.

I have the MOAB boots and love them so wanted something in a shoe. Got these and absolutely love them! They aren't as warm as my boots, which is exactly why I wanted them! I hope you make the MOAB line forever because they make my feet so happy!

After a disappointing experience with Siren sport (they were too wide and too big , also not padded enough) I took a chance on this because I love the Moab mid wate3rproof boots. These are comfortable with a light weight hiking sock. They fit very well and the cushioning is just right.

I use these shoes for work as I'm on my feet all day. These are more comfortable than sneakers.

This is a true to size 8 Wide width! Fits perfect in the heel and comfortable with lightweight wool socks. Out of the box I wore these shoes all day everyday for one week, and so far without issue. They are lightweight, but they have a very stable sole that is perfect for walking on pavement or hiking on hills and gravel terrain. Beautiful blue/gray color.

Extremely comfortable shoe with very attractive styling.

They fit like a dream. I ordered wide width, size 8. I've had to get 8.5 sometimes in other brands, so I was a little afraid they might be short, but they fit perfectly with room enough for thick socks if needed.

This shoe is everything a woman could hope for! It is very comfortable, stable, and grips well. I had no idea Merrell made a sturdy wide width shoe. The Moab 2 is great on dirt trails, providing the comfort and stability I need. I will buy this shoe again!

I bought these boots because I was going to do some back country hiking with my son in Arizona. I bought them a month before my trip and started wearing them to walk my dog. They were so comfortable that I ditched the athletic shoes and wore these! They were warm as toast and kept my feet dry, even in the snow! The traction I got on the loose rocks was great and I felt like it helped me navigate the cliffs so much easier than if I had tried to do the hikes in athletic shoes. I love these boots!

Love these, great stability, arch support, sturdy and tough,great traction,comfortable right out of the box!

The day my MOAB 2 arrived, I put them on and went out for my two mile walk. My feet were comfortable and dry. I am delighted with the product. I had Merrell Hiking boots many years ago and these new ones are light and stylish!!! I purchased them in anticipation of my trip to South Africa later in 2018. Can't wait! I'll send a photo when I'm hanging out with lions and tigers and elephants!!

I love that these shoes are substantial, yet light weight. They are sturdy enough to hike in rugged terrain and I feel light on my feet.
