I ordered two pairs of Merrell Moab 2 Vents, which have been my go-to hikers for eons. They're supposedly the same size (9-M), but I can't wear either pair. One shoe had a weird lump beneath the innersole of the left shoe. The other pair had a similar lump, but in a different area in the right shoe, making them unbearable even for a few steps across carpet. Had I done a blind fit test, I would never have known these shoes were the same style, or brand, let alone the same size. I am done buying Merrells, due to increasingly poor quality control and sizing inconsistencies.

Since birth, my feet have been a challenge--wide, small, over-high arches, and over pronation. I wear these in the summer on the farm, around town, and on the trail. I use powerstep insoles, which adds to the support for my foot problems. Because they come in wide, I can buy the correct length. This helps me not trip so much with my drop foot. The only other shoes I wear are Birkenstocks, as I don't like the look of hiking boots with skirts. My husband also wears both ventilator and waterproof simply because they are the most comfortable, protective, and supportive shoe on the market. Please, don't stop making Moabs.

Lightweight, comfortable, and cool for summer-weather hiking and long walks. The sole/base was perfect for pavement and equally stable over miles of lava rock. A great travel hiking shoe!

Love them! They took me up the Beehive Trail in Acadia National Park, and gave me confidence climbing the iron rungs. Incredibly comfortable right out of the box too.

I have very wide feet, so the toe pad is very accommodating. Very comfortable to just walk in.

The toebox is nice and wide so my toes have plenty of room to wiggle while I was hiking. I actually use the Moab ventilators to hike in Moab, Utah! When I wore thick socks my feet were very happy.

Comfortable low hiker for weekend haunts. I wouldn't wear for anything over 5 miles, but sturdy and supportive for hiking over easy to medium trails.

I have wide feet and am subject to bunions. It is a relief to not have foot discomfort determine how far I hike. Thanks for the big box!

I'm a first time Merrell customer, and pleased with these shoes. My feet are crazy wide across the metatarsal, but narrow at the heel (hobbit feet), so finding something that works is hard. The wide width isn't as wide as I'd like in the forward part of the shoe but I went with these over Drew because although those do have a roomier toebox, the quality of materials & workmanship is much higher on the Merrells. So far these have been super comfortable on longish walks over mixed terrain, and I expect they'll hold up well.

These fit perfectly. I did not even have to wear them in, I just put them on and went to work. I do hard physical labor outside and these held up to the challenge. I wish I had found them sooner. Love them!

I usually wear a 6-1/2 but took a 6 in this shoe. Wore them hiking right out of the box with comfort. Definitely recommend.

I have worn nothing but Merrell Moab 2 shoes for walking for as long as I can remember. I have psoriatic arthritis and my feet are a mess, but these shoes keep me on the road daily for my 3.6 mile walk.

Comfy out of the box in my normal size. Well constructed with a firm-ish foot bed. Great padded collar and room for the ankle support I sometimes wear. Pleasant color that will look fine with everything. These will replace my old Clark's Wave Treks which haven't been designed right lately. Pleased.

I have extremely wide feet so it’s hard to find shoes that fit. These Merrell Moab 2 Vents were comfortable right out of the box— a miracle. Lots of space in the toe box, excellent arch support and no dreaded heel rub so these are great shoes for me. Smoke color, the only one available in my size, is a greyish blue which is nicely neutral but not boring. If you have very wide feet give them a try.

My second pair....I’ve developed a v small bunion so had to move to a wide. They fit great. My older Merrels are still in v good shape after years of walking/hiking. I expect the new pair will last years as well.

Very comfortable shoe. Toe box is fairly wide. Insole is removable and my cushioned orthotics fit nicely. Tongue is very padded which adds to comfort. Supportive and stable yet light weight and breathable. I have two pairs!!

I’m a huge fan of Merrell shoes and these did not disappoint at all! First tested them out on a 14er (6hrs long) and they were fantastic! Toes were protected and not beaten up from the trek. And my feet never got tired or any blisters! The front as adequate toe space which is great when your feet swells up from hiking. Highly recommend!
