I bought these because I'm a fat older guy and was hoping for some relief from knee and joint aches while I try to be a skinnier older guy. As soon as I stood up and felt my heel slightly elevated I thought I had made a mistake. Man was I wrong. These are out of the box the singly most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I've only had them a day so I'll update this if I can after several days of wearing them, but honestly, I'm already looking for more of the same in a different color. (I really wanted that dark blue, but apparently so did everyone else! Ha!) Best money I ever spent on shoes.

I continue to be happy with Merrell, so much so that I have repeatedly purchased a similar style of Merrell shoes for over a decade. No complaints.

The MOAB 2 is absolutely comfortable and light weight...just under a 2 pounds for the pair at size 10. The sole is Vibram and built for rugged use. Why these? I needed something that would last over 300 or 400 miles and would carry not so "ultralight weight" equipment on thru hikes. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than my normal foot size and they were PERFECT!! Thanks to everyone at Merrell...you folks are the best!

Have been wearing (and wearing out) Merrill shoes for many years, the Moab Ventilator has been my everyday shoe for as long as I can remember. The quality, fit, and design has been consistently great throughout the years. I go back every time!

Best fit and overall quality of any shoe that I've owned. These have greatly reduced knee and hip pain allowing extended hikes in comfort.

I love Merrell shoes and boots! I've been wearing Merrell for over 20 years and they are by far the most comfortable and durable shoes you'll ever put on your feet!

This is my go to sneaker - great quality, holds up well and fits and feels great. Have had at least 6 pairs over a period of time.

My husband has 8 pairs of Merrell shoes. These are his favorite. He wears them everyday. They are comfortable and last a long time. Around the house or serious hiking in hard, rocky terrain these are the perfect shoe. Highly recommended.

This is my second purchase of the Moab 2 Ventilator. This hiker is comfortable from day one and is very durable. Great shoe for trails or walking paths.

I have limited use on them so far but these are the best Merrell shoes I have so far. Very sturdy .

I typically wear sneakers for the comfort and support but I can wear the Moab's literally all day with no pain in my feet. Also purchased my current pair over 2 years ago and the tread is basically not worn at all.

This is my third pair of Moab Ventilator...and after I wear these puppies out, I will be getting a fourth pair. These are great for all day wear...the venting makes so my feet never get to hot and sweaty. The support is wonderful for my 61 year old legs and bad hips. As supportive and strong as the Moab is, it is not a heavy shoe. So on those long hikes in the hot desert sun on dirt that is harder than concrete, you're feet don't get tired and they don't over heat. Love these shoes and as I stated before, I will continue to have a swanky pair of Moabs in my shoe line up as long as I'm not pushing up petunias. Now get out there and work on your relationship with Mother nature.

If Merrell ever drops or significantly changes the Moab 2 Vent, I am going to be seriously upset. These are the most reliably comfortable shoes I have ever had. Over several years, I have purchased at least a dozen pair (plus several more of the mid-rise version for the winter).

I have been buying the Moab ventillators for 20 years. I have both the gortex and non gortex, for summer and winter hiking. They fit my feet better then any other shoe and there comfortable all day long.

Own 4 pairs over the years .They are my go to shoes.

I always buy the Moab. Years ago I found that it fits my feet perfectly so no worries about breaking it in or getting blisters. Good support and good appearance.

Will get boots next

I purchase a new pair of the Men's Moab 2 Ventilator Wide Width annually. I have "difficult" feet with huge bunions, hammer toes, overlapping toes and neuroma. The wide toe box makes my feet feel great, as I wear them almost daily during the warm months. (Size 14 wide) The only time that I don't wear them is during tough trail hikes when I wear my Men's Moab 2 Ventilator Wide Width mid high boots for extra ankle support. I don't experiment with other boots as these are the perfect fit for me. (Note - I'm 74 - 6'1" - 215 - hike miles daily from our home in Vermont to the Rockys.)

I'm not a hiker, but I walk about 5 to 6 miles a day in NYC. This is a great walking shoe, which has no break in period. The shoe breathes well, and is very light. It's solid and well built. I'm sold on it, and would recommend it for anyone who does a lot of urban walking. Great shoe!

A few years ago I was co-leading wilderness workshops at Esalen doing day hikes in the Ventana Wilderness. I had a terrible time finding boots that would stand up in pretty rugged country. I finally tried the original Moab shoe and have loved them ever since. I have had many many shoes over the years and each has been outstanding right out of the box. Thank you
