These feel good so far. Just getting use to them in the house. Need a pair of good winter shoes for dog walking and such. Have terrible feet. Hopefully these will fit the bill , especially after I have my little toe fixed . Need the wide width. Thanks to Zappos I can keep them till I decide Gotta love Zappos.

Love these hiking shoes! Stylish and super comfortable for a wide toe box and narrow heel with a high arch. Had to order a half-size larger than I usually wear in an athletic shoe.

Bought them for my wife, she loves them. She wears them when hiking and when we go to walk the dog. She has high arches and says they feel great very good support.

I ordered these boots and wore them around the house one day before my girls weekend trip. Took them on the road and hit the trails with no problems. They were waterproof and comfortable beyond my hopes. No break in time was needed and I was thankful! Great buy!

I chose Merrell moab 2 waterproof in the low cut boot because I had great success with the high cut boot. I wear size 8.5 and purchased that size in the regular width. It's a perfect fit especially for my bunions because the toe box is wide without looking weird. I wore them for an 8 mile hike in a light rain and my feet were dry and comfortable.

Although my existing Merrells and these new ones are both size 8.5 US, the new pair feels narrower. My new Merrells also have a slightly more rounded toe area.

This is my second pair so you know I love them. About the insoles. Of course everyone replaces the insoles that come with shoes with their own insoles. Finding the right insoles for these shoes was a little tricky. All my insoles have moderate arches; some even high. The shoe already has a different kind of arch support so my current insoles felt a little lumpy. The insoles that worked the best for me are the Ariat Terrain insoles, the ones purchased individually, not the ones that come with Ariats. Next, the shoe laces. The ones with the gray color are pretty short compared to the ones with the olive. If they come undone, just google the words "shoe laces become untied" or something like that. The video that I found demonstrated a simple way to tie shoe laces so they actually become tighter as you walk.

They are very comfortable, they breathe, and they keep my feet dry in wet conditions. Great traction. Thank you for offering wide sizes. I will purchase again.

Size 6M with thick wool hiking socks (Smartwool) worked like a charm. Like all the Merrell's I've worn they are comfortable out-of-the-box. Now that Merrell has come up with a way to waterproof these flexible-sole shoes I can hike in the rain. They kept my feet warm and dry. I've worn them hiking in Yosemite in January through rain, slush and even icy trails. Back home in the East Bay they got me through some tough mud-holes in Redwood Park. I have my own orthotics so I can't comment on the arch support.

This is my second pair, having bought the mid-top last year. Both styles are very comfortable. Normally wear a size 8 or 39. Ordered size 8, fit is perfect.

Had to get new hiking shoes last minute before a trip to New Mexico. I was a little apprehensive about hiking in the Moabs right out the box, but they turned out to be just the shoes I needed. No break-in period required. I hiked at least 20 miles in them, scrambling up rocks and down to stream beds. They were great for trout fishing as well! Kept my feet dry and well-supported during all the activities. I did opt for the Ws since my feet have widened over the years. They had plenty of room in the toe box. The soles are pretty rigid, so climbing rocks/boulders were a little more challenging, but I prefer sturdy support to more supple soles when I hike. As far as looks -- well, they're hiking shoes, so they look like hiking shoes. But I didn't really get them for their stylishness. Overall very happy I went with the Moabs.

The only brand I will buy to wear everyday doing lawncare & landscaping! They are durable, supportive and they last at least 1 year!

This is the only trail shoe I've worn that actually has treads that don't wear down before the shoe is worn out. So happy to have a good tread on steep, rocky inclines and declines. These shoes grip the terrain. The waterproof feature protects your feet from getting wet when you have to step into puddles along the way, too. This is the best trail shoe I've ever worn.

Got these for a trip to Ireland. They are very comfortable, right out of the box. Haven't had a chance to test them out hiking, but wore them 10 hours out shopping. The weather has been very wet and they seem to live up to the waterproof claim.

These Merrells fit perfectly right out of the box. No breaking-in period. I'd been having some problems with plantar fasciitis and general foot pain, and these shoes have helped immensely. I walk about 5-6 miles a day with the dog over a variety of terrain (pavement, grass, wooded trails) and my feet have felt so much better. Great support, traction, and comfort. Also, they keep my socks perfectly dry in wet grass & puddles. I'm definitely going to invest in a pair of Merrell boots for the winter.

After having been told Merrells "always run narrow" and that they would never fit my duck feet, I am more than pleasantly surprised! These fit GREAT, right out of the box - no break-in time. They are true to size AND width. Love the color, and can't wait to hit the trails in them again!

Like the impossible has happened. I bought a pair of shoes online and they actually fit. Shocking!! I am a petite woman with flippers for feet, they're practically the same size long as they are wide. Shoe shopping is a chore, as it takes me months to find a pair that fit me properly, and even 'wide' shoes sometimes fall short. Someone recommended Merrell to me, I've wanted to try them for awhile but they just seemed out of my price range. Finally after so much discouragement in my quest for hiking shoes, I decided to bite the bullet and buy these. And they fit!! And not only that, I bought them online and they fit. That has never happened to me before. Pros: they fit (still shocked by that), perfect wide width, stable ankle support. Cons: the removable footbed is not very comfortable (at least it wasn't for me), so I replaced it with memory foam and now they are pretty close to perfect. I love them. Best shoe purchase in years.

I received my Moab 2 hiking boots before my Eastern Sierras hiking trip so I wore them around the house to break them in. They were comfortable right out of the box. The trails we hiked had mud, gravel, boulders, marsh grass, and snow. These boots were amazing. I never slipped or slid. Out of our group of 8 I was the only one not complaining about wet socks when we crossed streams. My feet stayed dry, even when I had to walk through the stream. I am so pleased with my Merrell Moab 2 hiking boot.

I tried a Merrell shoe in a retail store, but they did not have the waterproof shoe I wanted. So, I took a chance and ordered online. I LOVE these shoes! What is odd is on the shoe in the store, I had to go a half size down (I'm an 8 ALL the time and had to go to 7.5 for the fit). I read the reviews on this shoe that said the opposite - to go half size up. I decided to try both the 7.5 and 8. The 8 fit perfectly, as always. The shoes were comfortable and wearable on long walks right out of the box. I purchased them for an Alaska trip this summer and thought I would need a month to break them in, but nope! I walked 2, 3 and 4 miles on both road, grass and hilly terrain on my first three wears and they were awesome! They feel so light and grounded. I haven't tested the waterproof aspect yet, but I'm sure they'll get a good workout on our Alaska trip. I highly recommend these shoes
