Bought this in a 9.5 as I've done for all my Merrill boots and shoes for the past decade. It was too short. I tried to break them in because I was sure that was the size. Finally bought another pair in size 10. Just fished the Chain Lakes Trail at Mount Baker, WA yesterday and they're perfect.

I am Age-75 brought dusty-olive size 6.5 with happy feet out of the box. I read reviews advising sizing up but ordered my normal and it fit! Perfect fit! No bunion pain! No heal rubbing! No squeezed toes! Oh, the ties/shoe strings are soft for old fingers, plus the perfect length no wrapping them to not drag! And they are pretty! I mailed my kid-sister who now has happy secure Merrell feet on her hikes in Colorado.

As per other reviewers, I ordered a half size up, and the shoes fit like a charm right out of the box! I'm a year out from reconstructive foot surgery, and the toe box on these shoes is wide enough to give my foot room, but not so wide that it loses support. My feet and ankles feel like they're being hugged by clouds with mega muscles. The only issue I have is that the tongue is a little uncomfortable and rubs, but I think that will probably stop as the shoes are worn and soften up!

This shoe did not disappoint me. It's why I keep coming back to Merrell.

I like the fact that it is waterproof since I hike in the morning dew and through streams at times.

Wore out my previous Merrell's after 3 years of heavy use. I love that my new Merrel's don't need any breaking in. Just tie up and go and go and go!

These shoes were comfortable, and fit well from the moment I put them on. I usually put my own cushioning arch supports in all of my shoes, but I didn't need to do that with these. They offer plenty of support and were a perfect replacement for my old hiking shoes. Excellent support and traction on the trail.

Got for a trip to Yellowstone. They were So comfortable!!

I go hiking three or four times a week. These shoes grip wonderfully on both rocks and dirt. I use them in all weather conditions and they function beautifully. I am very happy with my purchase.

Wish it had not tie option like velcro closures and show lacing always coming loose.

Merrell fit and quality is always dependable. First time I have purchased online and not in a store and I was not disapointed.

I walk a hilly woodsy terrain every day in these shoes-comfortable & good support. Also, a nice wide toe bed, which is great. I have a pair exactly like it which has held up wonderfully for a year, which is why I ordered more!

I thought I would have to break in the shoes before my first hike but I did not. The first hike was very comfortable and I did not get blisters.

Fabulous shoes. I am very happy with them . Recently used them on a hiking trip they did not need to be "broken in " amd were comfortable from the beginning

It is true to size. The arch is very defined which is what my foot needs. Very comfortable and I would recommend.

This is my second pair they are so comfortable and fit true to size. I was so pleased with the all day performance of this shoe and how well it kept my feet dry and warn in the portland area in the cold winter months. I just had to make sure that I had another pair for next season.

I bought these shoes to replace another pair I had worn out, same style but not waterproof. I wanted to add that feature in particular as I'm often out in the early morning and walk through the dew. These shoes fit perfectly and the first day I wore them on a three mile walk to break them in. I was surprised by their comfort level first time out, they kept my feet dry, are a solid, stylish shoe and hope they last as long as my last pair did. Thanks for a quality product.

These shoes fit well and look good. My feet are slightly wide, so was debating between ordering medium or wide width. The medium was just right. Didn't need a break-in period. Comfortable on my first walk. I also wear them for early morning golfing when the grass is wet.
