I wear these for work. Keeps my feet warm and dry in a refrigerated warehouse.

The moabs are light and comfortable. They appear durable and my feet haven't gotten wet. Wear them on many ventures outside.

In the Mitten State up near the Canadian Border, we get wet and then cold and then snow which makes wet slushy messes. Often, high Winter boots are not really required. This is when the Merrill Moab 2 Waterproof shoes serve my footwear needs the best. They have enough structure for trail walking but the footbed is not as soft as other, similar products my reason for only 4 Stars.

I have not had these long but they have been great thus far! Water is kept out, foot is able to breathe while wearing. Stylish. They are taking a slightly longer time to break in than I had hoped but they are still comfy. Could be a 5 star review in no time!

Used these on a very muddy day and they worked perfectly for traction and waterproofing on a hilly, rocky trail with lots of mud sections. Also used them on a hot, dry summer day (for that they were a little heavy/overkill, but I was eager to try them out). Comfortable, protected my feet well from uneven surfaces. My feet have high arches and they were comfortable and doing well after five miles of hilly, rocky trails. They are a tad heavier, or you feel the extra layer/material for waterfproofing -- but not in a dealbreaker way. I love that I have these for when there's any chance of rain/mud, but I'll probably get a lighter/non-waterproofed pair for the really hot, dry days.

Well made good quality shoes. Bought these based on same model Moab 2 previously bought as a boot style. Downside, exact same size bought but these are tight, probably needed 1/2 size bigger. Makes no sense as if anything the boot style would be tighter.
Would buy Merrell again, unlikely on line though due to sizing problems.

Wear these everywhere. Like that they are waterproof. Also seem to be non-marking and wear pretty well. Good traction on dirt and snow. Seem true to size. I have had several pair in the past and keep buying them. Only issue with this particular pair is the tongue seems a little thick on the edge of one shoe. I have to adjust the tongue to avoid irritation. Not a big deal.

I was looking for a water-resistant winter walking shoe, with some traction. These fit good using my own arch support inserts. They are a pretty stiff sole, so I'm starting with shorter walks until I get used to them, and hopefully they will get a little more flexible over time.

Although the shoe is definitely wider I would prefer a shoe with lacing that extends lower... one with 7 eyelets versus the 5 on these shoes.

I live in California and it doesn't rain much. But we're in Scotland now and my feet were soaked in less than 10 minutes of rain. Not good. Love the boots but....I need something that is actually waterproof.

Merrill Moab and Jungle Moc shoes (10 1/2 W) have been my favorites for a number of years. However, as I got older (70) my feet got flatter/wider /bigger which caused painful issues; (bunions/bunionettes). I was lucky to get this pair of Merrill Moab 2 Waterproof in 11 1/2 Wide for just under $78! I still would like wider Merrills, but I now have a shoe stretcher that helps in addition to thinner socks. Shoe size can change a lot as one ages.

Super comfy and well-made. Definitely waterproof on top, but in rain water will enter the shoe via the ankle, so bear that in mind if choosing between shoe or boot.

Seems like a great hiking shoe, but the medium is too narrow for me.

They are well-designed shoes, but the size is smaller than 9 1/2, which is why I gave four stars rather than five.

Wore these shoes on the first day I got them on a 911 rescue. Two and half mile in on a coastal trail to a separated knee. Loaded up on a Stokes and two and a half miles back. Clean going in, caked with mud on way out. Preformed beautifully as I didn't think about them and was able to give care to patient.

I still miss the original Moabs, which I found more comfortable, but these are pretty good.
The main difference for me is that the heel is now more bulky. It breaks down and bunches up faster.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I have at lease EE wide, messed up arches and tough feet to fit, so this a bit of a gamble. But the shoes were good. My only suggestion is there be more definition with the actual width measurement. Is it an EE, 3XE etc. Its tough enough fitting on line, the more definition the better.

4th pair of Moabs and they don't disappoint. As i get older though, i do wish they had a bit more cushioning.
