I ordered these for an upcoming trip to Alaska. I wear a size 10 in all my “good quality”shoes. 10.5 in Nike sneakers. I ordered these in a 10 and 10.5 after redaing some reviews about them running small. Both were too small; toes were crammed in and touching the front. I Sent them bcak and ordered 11. When I tried them on, I still felt that my toes were still slightly touching the front as I walked, so I quickly ordered 11.5 just to see how they would feel. They arrived the night before I left and when I tried them on, I was glad I ordered the 11.5’s. They felt great right out of the box. Plenty of support and toe room. I wore them in Alaska, not so much for serious hiking, but I wore them for 10 hours or so, when we were on excursions. They felt very comfortable all day and would I recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, fairly light-weight, waterproof shoes. I did not encounter any rain (the reason I ordered them), but I did wear them on a fishing trip and I didn’t worry when the “mate” was washing down the deck. I can not give any feed back regarding the quality and how they will wear at this point. However, they appear to be well made. Bottom line, order at least a full size larger than your normal shoe size.

Great shoe. Tested on a moderate 4 hr climb on Bear mountain. Just know that you should go up a half size. Waterproof and super light. Great lacing system.

I’ve been a size 10 most my adult life. I have similar Merrills in high top hiker. Those are 10.5 but hiking down trails I believe I should have ordered 11’s. That being said, I ordered these in 10.5, and 11. I sent both back andd received the 11.5’s the night before my trip. I’ve worn the 11.5’s while doing excursions on vacation in Alaska. They were extremely comfortable right out of the box and even after walking around and wearing them for 10-12 hours. I did not encounter any rain so can’t comment on how water-proof they are.

Purchased these for my son who lives in NYC. He takes a wide width and said that the shoes are very comfortable in width and length. At the very least he walks a minimum of five miles a day so he wanted a sturdy shoe that was waterproof. He typically wears out his shoes quickly so time will tell if these will last.

I like these, comfortable, durable, my foot feels secure and doesn't slosh around. I have a wider toebox, and a wider right toebox than left, but these fit fine, without rubbing on the right side. (I did choose wides). Easy to lace, plenty of lacing to tie without too much so you're stepping on them. Can be slid off without untying.

My son loves these shoes. Never have to worry they wear well and he says are very comfortable. Well woth the price.
