This is my fourth pair of Merrell's. I have wide feet and buying shoes is trying as hardly anybody stocks wide sizes. Perfect arch support is also usually hard to find. This is the first time I purchased online and I must say that Merrell does every single thinig right. They even sent a return shipping label with my shoes should I find anything wrong with them. I am pretty hard on my shoes as I hike in the mountains and work very hard. Merrells always hold up. The engineering in these is 100% spot on.

The Merrell Moab 2 is a very nice, light hiking shoe. I'm an older guy and wanted a shoe for off-trail hiking and some moderate climbing. The full boot was just more than I needed, but this lower-cut shoe is perfect.
I take a 9 1/2 in a street shoe, but needed a 10 1/2 in the Moab to have enough room between my toes and the toe of the shoe. The fit for length is very similar to ASICs running shoes, e.g., a full size larger than your street shoe.
The Vibram sole looks very durable and the shoe is waterproof for sloshing through wet ground. The tongue is nicely padded and extends from the upper of the shoe, making it very comfortable.
I put my first 5 miles on them yesterday and they're definitely a good purchase, and they look great too.

This is my second pair of Moabs and hope to get many seasons of hiking out these ones too. New ones fit and feel great. Well worth the cost!

I am not a serious hiker but like having a pair of serious hiking shoes for long in city treks. These are probably overkill - heavy and stiff - but I think they will fit the bill.

Very comfortable and true to size right out of the box. Walked about 3 miles the first day and 5 the second and they give good support and are very stable. A very solid shoe but not overly heavy.
This is my 2nd pair of these and they have all been great.

I am an avid hiker. The MOAB fits nicely and has excellent feel when walking. Very little break in time. My last pair finally become unusable after 8 years SNF 100,000 miles. Highly recommend this product.

My husband ordered these for his outdoor walks with our dog (soon to be dogs) in the woods. He does not have a particularly wide foot but ordered the Wide based on past merrell shoe sizing issues. The 10.5 wide fit perfectly. He loves Merrells and these fit the bill perfectly for what he needed. Merrells always hold up well for him and he is tough on shoes/clothes. They are pretty stylish for what they are as well.

Hiked 5 plus hours, essentially right out of the box. Measured carefully and ordered a size larger than expected (and also customary) for husband. Great fit for him, his foot is a combination last... that is, a narrower heal and a wider ball of foot. Plenty of toe room, essential for comfort. No slipping. Solid well made boot. Have not tested the waterproof part. Resistant at least.

After years of buying bigger size shoes instead of getting a wide width pair. I never felt this much comfort in my true size. Not that many manufacturers offer wider width. I will definitely buy again online my Merrell's.

As a person of smaller stature and wider feet I have a heck of a time finding shoes that properly fit. These MOAB's fit the bill to a T. I have finally found something that I can wear all day without my feet starting to scream.

Purchased these shoes for cardio. I walk 25 to 50 miles a week on country roads. These shoes are very comfortable and have great support. I purchased a wide size 12. They are well made and rugged looking. Finding the right shoe is very difficult, and I wish I had known about the Moab 2 when they first came out. Great price for the quality, comfort and performance. Two thumbs up!

I bought a new pair (exact same as old pair) of these hiking shoes just before a trip to do several moderate scramble hikes in the Canadian Rockies. I am so glad I did. They provided superb grip and support on angled terrain and rocky ledges. Best money I spent the entire trip.

Have purchase a number of pairs of this shoe over the years. I have extra pairs NIB, to replace the pairs I am currently wearing. Excellent, Merrill products are my number 1 choice for durable, high quality active footwear.
