This is the best boot right out of the box for almost any intermediate hiker to advanced seasoned hiker, no break in period, just awesome all around well designed boot for California hiking.

Bought these for work, since I'm walking on all surfaces. I've seen other drivers with Merrell's, so I thought I'd give them a try. So far, so good!

Comfortable with great support. I love the lace hooks on the top eyelet. This allows me to simply, undo the tied laces from , the hooks, to remove my shoes. Then, when I put them back on, just give tug and re-hook them.

These are comfortable, durable shoes. I have wide feet and have trouble finding shoes that fit well without being too tight. I use mine for work and Merrell shoes enable me to be on my feet all day without pain. They are well worth the cost!

Two things you need to know. One, I have flat feet. Two, I live in SE Florida. I love hiking trails here in Florida. The non waterproof Moab's breath very well. I replaced my insole with custom orthotics and they work great. I recommend them highly. I was an Army Paratrooper and this made me love the outdoors. Give them a try.

These are my favorite hiking (and walking) shoes . They fit my feet perfectly, have a good size toe box and hug my feet and ankles for a very secure fit. This is my 3rd pair. Verysatisfied with them.

I've been wearing them for 8 years now and they fit right out of the box. They are put together well and have held up for minimum of 2 years each pair before they start to wear down. Used in cross training, jungle, mountain and desert terrain. Great boot

Most comfortable walking or hiking shoes right out of the box and stay that way for years. Look good, perform well and worth every penny!

These are my second pair of the Moab 2 Mid Ventilator, my absolute favorite hiking shoes. My other pair are brown and also wanted gray ones. They are comfortable and sturdy and long lasting. If these ever ware out I'll get them again.

This is the second pair I buy of these. My son loves them so much he refuses to wear anything else! Am considering getting him a third pair in the other color. Super comfortable!

They are true to size, light weight and comfortable. I wear them at work and spend a lot of time outside and while warm enough, they are not as warm as the water proof version.

This is my second pair, having walked about 2,000 miles in them. I hike regularly 3-4 miles per day, and these provide support and comfort that propel me along.

There is a reason this boot is called MOAB. Truly the most comfortable moderate weather boot on the market. Merrill has also improved the top eyelets and sewn in a lace holder on the tongue; much better than the original design. Once you wear this boot, you will never wear anything else.

I will admit I was a little skeptical about these but they are awesome. I worked at a place in Northern Minnesota, leading canoe trips and we were required to do wet foot portaging. So basically you would get out of the canoe in knee high water and bring the boat close to shore. Then you load up and walk across the portage trail. So these boots were wet(soaked) all through the month of July. Even when soaked I still put easily 15 miles on them. And despite that they have held up great. Since then I have hiked up Pikes Peak and then ran down in them. I have worn them on multiple days at work both casually and when I am going up and down our challenge course. I have gone on multiple hikes and I just love how long they have lasted me so far. There is only a few spots of wear and tear on them. This is incredible because I would usually buy cheap pairs from a large super center, but those would only last 3 months and then be so badly torn up that they were being held together by para cord just so I could where them home. So if you find yourself in need of a good pair of hiking boots that you can get soaked for a month and still work well, get these...........one last thing NO BOOT IS SLIP PROOF WHEN IT IS FULLY SUBMERGED AND PLACED ON SHARP ANGLED ROCKS COVERED IN ALGAE, good luck, the next adventure for these is some hiking in Moab.

Have had many boots, some comfortable and some NOT. These are just right after 3 or 4 wearings AND are light. Also like that they are made in the USA.

At first the boot was a little stiff wearing at work on concrete, but after a couple of days and getting the moves more broken in I started wearing them hiking and they performed very well. They handled extremely well in the rugged terrain, going down hills was not a problem the Vibram soul gripped the steep incline like it was nothing.
