My son loves these shoes. He needed low cut footwear that could get wet and withstand regular outdoor use, unlike sneakers. He finds boots too cumbersome to run in. His only gripe is that without double knots the laces on this shoe come untied frequently.

The shoes fit well and my son said they felt great. I'm not sure how much hiking he'll actually do, but these should hold up better to his abuse on the playground better than regular sneakers.

I am reviewing these from my point of view as a women with small feet. I will wear these on walks and hikes on rainy days. This shoe is a good choice if you want a shoe/sneaker profile with waterproofing. Quite light, not too chunky or padded. I plan to wear them with thick socks. I think they run just a bit small

I am an adult who is able to wear a kid's size shoe. Initially I thought they felt true to size, but after wearing them more I'd say they feel a half size larger. The biggest caution I would give people who are considering this shoe is that they are NOT full of padding and cushiony soft inside. However, they do not hurt my feet or feel uncomfortable after being on my feet all day. On the plus side, these are a good shoe for trails/hiking because they keep the foot stable and have a nice tread. I cannot attest to the waterproof aspect, but I feel like I have more traction going from wet weather into a store or somewhere that has a smooth, tiled floor.

Got these for my son’s science camp trip. He broke them in this week at school and says they are super comfy, seem rugged and will hold up well for hiking

My 9 year old has complaining about foot/ankle pain while wearing any shoes except for crocs, but we needed shoes for hiking. Got these and he loves them! They have a nice wide toe box so his toes aren’t squished. We went on a 2 mile rocky hike and he said his feed didn’t hurt! He also loved the color.
