Gave these as a gift. Receiver stated "They are a dream. I am sold on Hoka." He was previously a user of New Balance. "These Hokas are superior."

The Hoka One One Gaviota is the very best stability shoe! It is a the most responsive, lightweight stability running shoe. It is a good-looking shoe that offers excellent breathability. It has a wider forefoot and secure heel. It provides a great combination of cushioning and stability. This shoe offers a good balance of support and cushion. The forefoot is roomy and the heel held my foot perfectly. If you want a motion/stability shoe, the Hoka Gaviota is the very best! The wider forefoot and responsive feel make this a great shoe for daily or long runs.

My go-to shoe for many years was the Mizuno Nirvana, and I am thrilled to have finally found a replacement I love. Plenty of room for my insert, good stability and cushioning.

Outstanding dynamic stability from heel strike through toe off with excellent frontal plane motion control. Appreciate exceptional cushioning over the firmer Arahi. As a Podiatrist I have become a big fan of Hoka and include Hoka shoes for recommendation to my patients when appropriate.

Have about 80 miles on these so far. Cushioning is really nice and have a good durable feel. Light considering the amount of EVA. They do run on the narrow side but that is OK for me.

Absolutely the BEST stability running shoe I've ever had. These are my first Hokas, and after putting about 30 miles on them in a week or so, I'm wondering why I've never bought them before. If you're on the fence about spending $150 on a pair of running shoes, don't hesitate. I'd spend $200+ on these if I had to.

Using this shoe for high intensity interval training classes and walking/running. Bought it for stability as I have flat feet and history of fracture. Absolutely one of the most stable and comfortable shoe I've owned. Is very responsive in my classes. Plan to get another pair.

Let's start with size. I've worn ASICS nimbus 11-4E and am now on my 5th pair of hokas I started with the size 11 Bondi 4 wide, great shoe, the bondi 5 wide and now the Gaviota 11-wide. The bondi 5 was more snug than the 4 and the Gaviota has the most room of all 3. I wear the new balance ipr 3030 wide insert and I still have ample room in the Gaviota. These are not as plush as the Bondi, but what is.
I picked them up around 10am on Friday and wore them around the rest of the day for a break in. Saturday morning at 7am I ran 15. The shoes are comfortable and are ready to go out of the box. These provide a much more stable platform than the Bondi but obviously lack that plush feel. If you are looking to transition to a more cushioned shoe that also provides stability, look no further the the Gaviota.

I have always went with name brand shoes. Nike, Under Armour, even some Reebok, Adidas, and Asics. I will never go with them again. Big shoe producing companies don't make well fitting shoes and they certainly do not have the quality of Hoka One One shoes. My feet don't fit comfortably in a 14 (even when wide) because of thickness and usually the best fitting are 16s but are too long. Hoka provides much better fitting shoe sizes and are incredibly comfortable. Unlike New Balance shoes, these shoes are super comfortable and actually look nice. Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned and they actually look nice.

Excellent feel and performance, these are the best pronation running shoes I've had. I'm a triathlete and these shoes are great for all kinds of training and racing. First pair of Hoka shoes, hopefully many more in the future!

This is my 5th pair of Hokas. They've all been great at performing as promised. As time has gone on I need a more stable shoe due to age and miles (on me not the shoes). And these deliver as promised. However the laces are really lightweight and slippery. It is hard to get them tight and stay tight without a surgeon's knot. Sounds nit picky but it's annoying enough that I'm going to buy new laces. I hate stopping to tie my laces.

I have six pairs of Hokas in my closet. I just shush there was an office work type shoe. Something in the casual style. Then I would be able to throw all of my "non-Hokas" away!
