I average 20,000+ steps a day at my job, all on very unforgiving concrete. I’m in my 40’s and my feet and joints are getting harder to please;) Hoka’s and their superior cushioning and stability have almost singlehandedly cured my chronic plantar fasciitis, sore knees, and general pain below my hips! For years I have exhausted my funds on inferior shoe tech....but Hoka’s are WORTH EVERY PENNY !!! This is my second pair of Gaviota’s, and my third pair of Hoka’s. (I’m on my SECOND WINTER in my 1st gen tor summit boots)...miss that style....My ONLY other complaint?....please make the Gaviota in a solid black!!!:)

I ordered a Double E. This shoe/sneaker is not extra wide. It runs so narrow. I would not recommend this shoe, Hoka One One Gaviota.

I'm a long-time Bondi user and I actually returned these shoes to get new Bondis. But that shouldn't be a knock on these shoes. They are just as advertised. You give up a bit of cushioning to get the stability.
I thought about keeping them for activities other than running, but Bondis are so expensive, I needed to return these. My loss.

So in love with these shoes. Only qualm was it had a tiny half inch rip on the right pair on the right side where the Gaviota name is inscribed so I had to exchange it for another pair but the great thing is I got the new pair within 3 days time! That turnaround time is outstanding to say the least.
Anyway, these shoes are great. A tad narrow but the material stretches enough from standard to medium width after a run or two. The mesh material is breathable and comfy and the mid lock lacing secures the arches in place.

I have Morton's neuroma in both feet, and the Gaviota and the Clifton 6 are the only shoes I can currently walk in. I have my own special orthotics.,..I've tried literally tens of shoes.
The Gaviota is a gorgeous looking shoe, super comfy, with great stability as well. I am recommending them to my friends/ppl with feet issues especially.
Thank you Hoka for making quality shoes.

I am totally into Hoka .As a nurse in a hospital I am on my feet for 12 hour shifts. Love them. My feet aren't tired and they give me the support I need for my ankles. I bought a pair for my 89 year old father who gait isn't ithe best, He is now a fan of them. My mother has decided she wants a pair . They are not just for the young.

Good Shoe...like support...way it grips my foot...wish the Graviota came in plush cushion though...other than that...so far so good...as I have aging knees and issues that come with age...so far I am a believer...would buy the Graviota again...

The shoes run about a size small. I had the original pair and got tired of my toe hitting the end. Bought these in larger size and absolutely love them. They provide good stability and cushion...a blend of both.

I've suffered with months long posterior tibial tendonosis. Just coming back I could only handle moving around with very high arch orthotic insert. I don't even need the insert with these shoes and am back doing moderate running... I feel the support these shoes offered were instrumental in my "comeback". They truly are the best running shoes I've ever owned.

As a nurse I'm on my feet 12 hours a day. Over the last ten years, and many other brands of shoes, it has taken its toll on my feet. When I placed the Hoka brand on my feet I actually felt comfort immediately. I was surprised. Because my plantars and heels have been a cause of a lot of pain over the last 3-4 years. These shoes hugged my feet in a way it supported perfectly my plantars and heels, just what they needed. Thank you to the creators of these shoes!

I bought a pair of women's Gaviota shoes when they first came out and loved them so much, I bought a second pair. Still love them so much, I wanted a third pair. I wear a women's 11 and Hoka was out of this size. I researched and a men's 10 is the same as a women's 11 - so I bought a pair of those. These are the most awesome training shoes. I am 64 years old and run hills four days a week - and need to take care of these knees and hips. Running in Gaviotas certainly helps.
