I purchased the Vanquish 3 as a recommendation from Hoka One One customer service. I had usually run in the Clayton series and since they discontinued that wonderful line I reached out for advice. I ran my first 1/2M in January and the shoes were ok. Yes, they were more plush than the Clayton but my feet did hurt. I had thought it was the concrete surface after the turnaround point. I used them again for the PhillyLove Run 1/2M this Sunday 3/25/18. At mile 8 my toes were screaming, becoming a little numb, and the toe box felt as if it was crushing my feet. I finished the race, took off my shoes to find 2 blood blisters at the tips of my long toes on both feet. Lovely. I subsequently found some new discontinued Clayton 2's online and bought as many pairs as I could. These very expensive Vanquish 3's are now my "in the yard shoes". I would advise the Hoka customer service peeps to know their shoes and know that the toe box on a Clayton is bigger than the Vanquish line and to NOT suggest the Vanquish as a longer distance solution.

Regular size is definitely to narrow for most womon. Did not have the patience to try again.

Toe box is WAY too small. I dont' have wide feet, not by a long shot. But I had HUGE blisters on both of my big toes after trying these shoes. Unfortunantly, they had to go back.

Frustrated that you really widened the toe box of the V3. I need to return them and was able to find V2 still available. Hoping going down a 1/2 size with the V3 will solve the problem. Why mess with a good thing?!?

Heavy. Flat. Awkward. With them, you don't run, you thud. They might be very good for playing tennis. The grip with any kind of surface is surprisingly good. Also, good for the gym.
I own a pair of Clifton-2 that is almost perfect for road running. After a year of daily use, they feel like new.

I thought I would be able to exercise, and walking. I'm totally disappoint, an I'm planning to return these uncomfortable sneakers.

Does not feel like an original Hoka One One. Way to stiff with flat edges. No meta rocking feel.

Love the color, just don't like the tightness and narrow fit in the toes.

Loved Vanquish 2 but have had a nagging ankle injury since buying the 3s. Shoe way too big, way too narrow, and wearing out quickly.

The toe box is too tight. It hurts my big toes. I thought it would maybe loosen up with wear. They did not. I had my friend try them, and she noted the same thing. So disappointed as they are cute shoes.
