I love these shoes. I started with Hoka slides (I think they're marketed for wearing post-run). The slides have truly saved my feet so I jumped on the One Ones when I saw them. They're bulky but very light and great for someone on their feet on hard floors all day.

I have a very painful big toe joint on my right foot, and prone to twisting my ankle due to incorrect rolling through my foot. These shoes are very stable, that is exactly what I needed! But due to that they are very wide, so it take a bit of getting used to. Also, I was disappointed that they are not the color that is shown on the website. The body of the shoe is a dull, washed out version of the color shown, so the only bright accents are on the sole of the shoe and the laces.

My feet initially felt like in heaven on run, although half way through my toes on both feet went tingly. Walked the next day in them and made my feet ache. Couldn't wait to to send back! Please bring back the conquest! geez!

Not a fan. They are way too wide for my foot and had an odd curve making my ankle feel like it was going to turn in. I like the Clifton 4 better and normally wear Nikes. Definitely run a half size large.

These shoes were perfect for me right out of the box. I was concerned that the padding would not be enough, but I needed stability even more. My feet are slender and placing my feet on the ground properly, is an issue for me. I needn't have worried. My Gaviota's are the perfect balance of both. Just make sure that you get the color you want before they are sold out! I feel confident that I will be able to continue walking without developing the hip/low back issues that I encountered in the past and I can even imagine running again. :). Thank you! PS The athletes in my class think I am cool now. LOL!!!

As soon as I put these on my feet I felt the urge to bounce and run what is funny is I don't run but I had to in these shoes. I ran up and down the driveway with my dog woofing with excitement over me riding awesome shoes

I've been using these for running around 4 miles a day on a treadmill. I purchased them to help alleviate knee pain. They are pretty comfortable and shock absorbing.

Best running shoe I have ever purchased. They fit true to size (I wear a size 10 and have normal width feet). The cushion on these shoes are awesome. Give them about an hour to and hour and a half to break in. Once they are broken in, they mold to your feet beautifully.

it looked good, but the toe box was too wide and it just wasn't a great fit for me. Trying another shoe from hoka now. i have a narrow foot and need a straight last with stable stance. have loved previous shoes from hoka and will keep trying.

I have plantar fasciitis and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I am not a runner but I do a lot of walking and aerobics. These feel like I’m walking on a cloud and are very stable and sturdy. I don’t find these shoes to be all that attractive but I have gotten lots of complements on them!

I use these shoes specifically for running. I've had them for about a month and enjoy every run in them. I over pronate and the Gaviota has the perfect support for my arches. I look forward to many miles in these running shoes. Thank you Hoka for making the perfect running shoes for me. I love them.

These are cute and look like they would provide a lot of comfort; unfortunately with my feet that is not the case. They feel very hard and the toe box was just a tad too small for comfort. And I was so very hopeful based on all the reviews I went through. Thanks again Zappos for your patience. When I finally find something that will work with my feet, I am going to buy 5 pairs!!

I bought these shoes after having severe metarsal pain in my foot. Three days later I went to the podiatrist and he said these were the only shoes he would allow me to wear until my surgery and then after I could most any of the other Hokas but only this brand due to their stability and cushioning. Kind of cool that I chose for myself the ones he wanted me to wear before I saw him.

I have worn these super-comfortable shoes for about 5 months and feel I should share that while they are perfect for fast walking, the soles are worn down below the tread in many areas. For the price I expected a longer life. Still, they are nice and wide and cushiony, but I think I won't buy them again because of the wear. Usually buy Brooks that last for ~500 miles in a year.

Used it a few times on the treadmill and it felt okay, even though I noticed it wasn't as light as the Clifton 3 (which I keep trying to find replacements for). Took it outside and I realized that I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. Felt the drag almost immediately and was grateful when my run was done. I might use it for days when I know I should just take it easy or I might donate them to charity; if I hadn't recycled the box already I would return them. Lesson learned.

I could walk or stand all day in these. They are very cushy. If you want stability, it might not be the shoe for you. I bought these because I wanted new shoes to work on correcting my stride. Super comfy but I do find myself thinking about my gait constantly in these. As they are cushy, when my foot lands I have to focus on keeping my leg in line and not rock side to side too much. Very solid shoe though.

Definitely not for plantar fasciitis. These were some of the hardest shoes I have ever put on. They only aggravated my foot pain. I gave the same review to the Drew shoes I ordered at the same time. My asics were better than these. These also had very little arch support.

I ordered the regular width women's Gaviota and found it too narrow. I returned it and asked for a wide width to replace it, but they didn't have any. I need a stability shoe so no Hoka for me.

My feet and ankles require a shoe with lots of cushion and support, this is it! I have two pairs & wear them daily. The "Hoka" brand was recommended by an orthopedic surgeon, confirmed by my podiatrist and therapist . . .
