I really like the soft cushion. I can walk around all day and my feet won't hurt it really helps a lot. I had tried the Bondi, and that is more cloudlike, but I need stability and shoes for overpronation. The heels are a bit loose, but the cushy soles make up for it. I also tried the Arahi, but those soles are way too hard.

These are really pretty shoes and I so wanted to love them, but they are just too narrow for me. So if you have a narrow foot the medium will work for you. I also tried the Arahi, and sent all back, but I ended up getting the ATR and love them.

I must say that these sneakers are very comfortable but they made my feet go numb. For this reason I returned them. I suggest walking around on a carpeted surface (in case you need to return them), to see if they do the same to you.

I love Hoka shoes, and this one has the usual incredibly comfortable sole. But like another reviewer, they made my toes numb. I wore them around the house for about 30 minutes and felt like the circulation was getting cut off to my toes. I think it's because the front area of the shoe is more rigid than most running shoes. They didn't really feel too small, and I got the usual size I get in Hokas, but something's wrong, at least for me. Cute shoes, too, so I was disappointed. If you really want these shoes, I'd order half a size up. I didn't want to try that, though, so I got the ordinary fantastic Zappos' customer service on my return and received the refund almost within hours of sending them back.

Unfortunately Hoka changed the material used for the upper part of the shoe which resulted in making the B width smaller and way too tight. I wish they wouldn't reinvent a sure thing. My last year's pair is a 9.5 B and they fit great but need replacing.

First off, I'm not a runner but would call myself a trotter (walk/run depending on my mood) and I'm on my feet a lot. After reading review after review and show specs after shoe specs, I purchased the Hoka One One Gaviota in the Marlin/Dress Blue. LOVE the color! The shoe fit like a glove. I wear a 9 and sometimes a 9.5 in casual shoes but always a 9.5 in running/athletic shoes. I've never bought a wide shoe however some dress shoes a wide works best. These shoes wear responsive and cushiony, just what I needed. Length was prefect. However, after wearing them only minutes in the house my toes felt tingly. I adjusted the laces and even left the loose then untied; still tingly. The first lace hole opening area (whatever you call it) located on/near the big toe pressed a weird spot and THAT pressure point caused my toes to tingle and go numb. Bummer. The toe box wasn't as roomy as expected or as roomy as my other go-to shoes (Salamon and Saucony in regular width). I would really like to try this same show in this same color in a 9.5wide but it's out of stock everywhere. That's usually my luck. Returning and going back to the drawing board.

Please make this Gaviota in a WW, I have 1 pair in 10W that I previously purchased that I have worn out and they fit great. I ordered the same size (tried different colors to be sure) and the width is definitely smaller, there is not enough room in the toe box and the area for the arch in the middle of the foot is narrow and digs into my arch and is painful. I love these for the cushion and support and they are excellent if you have bad knees or feet issues, I am sad I have not been able to get them again.

Out of the box these sneakers were so comfortable but unfortunately my hips started to hurt after running. I’m so sad that I can’t wear them anymore, but they just don’t work for me.

The shoe is made of a tight fitting nylon across the ball joint and is very uncomfortable. The W Bondi 5 however is perfect and fits like the old AICS walking shoe before it was redesigned. Searching for a distant walking shoe all year. The Hoka One One Bondi 5 is the shoe.

I have never had a problem with the size of a shoe being so far off. I wear a 10, but being a tennis shoe wanted something a bit more roomy so I ordered a 10.5. These were crazy small. I am returning them. The size was so far off I am wondering if I got a dud pair? I am now going to reorder in 11.5 :( now I'm depressed because apparently I have giant feet.

These are THE best athletic shoes ever! SO grateful that my trainer told me about these. They are super cushy and a nice fit. With these shoes I’m able to run again! Will definitely order more.

Very comfortable shoes ! Highly recommend true to size and width ... moderate arch support

I am 100% Hoka obsessed now! The ankle stability is unmatched without having to wear a high top. I absolutely love the fit, weight, and style of these shoes. They look enormous at first, but after wearing them you will not care one bit because you feel amazing! I have stopped wearing fashionable Nikes or cross training New Balance in favor of these any time I need an athletic shoe. Love! Love! Love!

Great shoe for running!

This is my 3rd pair of Gaviota. I'm thinking of ordering a couple more pairs, as Hoka One One tends to discontinue the styles I love and then I have to start all over to try and find a substitute. I have some foot problems and absolutely need to stick with wide toe boxes and stiff soles. The Gaviota is perfect.

Love these shoes - the way they look, the feel, the fit! They are one of my favorite brands as well. I would recommend this shoe to someone who needs a wider shoe in the toe area.

The shoes felt comfortable and fit well right out of the box. They have excellent arch support and a soft feel under flip. They did not need to be broken in. I have recommended him to several of my friends. You can’t go wrong with the shoe.

I love these shoes, they are so comfortable! They are super lightweight, and I love how the sole gradually widens out so that you feel super stable doing whatever you want in them (I am not a runner but use them for walking and an exercise class that incorporates lots of core and stability work). Being running shoes, I knew that they would give me the support and cushioning I wanted. They are also very stylish, and the wide array of colors that they come in is a bonus. I am planning on ordering a second pair in another color to wear inside only for using our treadmill and exercise bike (I try to maintain a leave-your-shoes-by-the-door policy at our house). I highly recommend them!

I normally wear the Arahi amd the Arahi 2, I thought I would try this one instead, but could tell with in 30 minutes there was’t the support that the Arahi provides. I love the color of this shoe, wish Hoka would make some of the Arahi shoes in the bright colors.

I have an older pair of Hoka sneakers which I love, but I love these much more because they feel like they have even more support all around. Arch support very good, which is important to me. I used to use Nikes and Adidas and lots of other sneakers --always top-line ones--and I think this sneaker is hands-down my absolute favorite ever. One thing--the sole is not super flexible, so keep that in mind. I like the firm support of the sole and everywhere else, it gives me great stability in exercise classes, walking, working out in the gym, etc.

Wide in the toe box (got medium width) arch not high, Ive been having plantar faciatis and immediately my pain is less. I will probably buy another pair of this same shoe.

I was a Muzino fan for years. Now I am a definitely a Hoka One fan. It is important to pay attention to the shoe description and customer reviews to make sure you are getting the right Hoka shoe/fit for you. This is my 4th style of and once again I am thrilled with the fit. This shoe fits me better than all the other styles. The heel width fits greats and provides support the entire length of the shoe. More importantly is the customer service Zappos provides. THEY HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL. Every time I contact them I get an immediate positive response. When shopping online it is so important. Thank you Zappos!
