I've run in the past several versions of the Wave Riders - I LOVED the 16, the 17 was an abomination, I skipped the 18 for a clearance pair of 16s because the 17s were so awful, and the 19 was a major improvement. When I laced these up, though, all I felt was "meh." And do you want to know why? Because while every manufacturer limits their narrow model to one color, Mizuno always picks either the most boring color (like this perfectly fine blue - but the other colors are SO much better), or the fugliest possible color combo (like the atrocious white, purple, and yellow 17s). So, Mizuno, while you're on the right track in terms of fit and comfort, the color choice for narrow is a snooze-fest.

This shoe does not have the comfort or support you expect from Mizuno for walking or running, but it looks nice.

This is my second pair of Mizuno running shoes. They are becoming my preferred brand. These are lightweight with just the right amount of support. They do run small, and I had to order a half-size up. They run just a touch narrow, especially in the toes, so I had to order the wide.

Love the style and I used to wear Mizunos for years for their comfort. But these have a mesh type material along the arch so it gives absolutely no support. The other issue is the outside heel area, it unfortunately dug in too much and caused discomfort.

I thought I wore a women's size 10W, but have been buying a men's shoe size9 (wide feet!). I decided to buy a women's 10.5W this time, and I'm glad I did! These shoes are perfect! I love, love, love the color. They provide exactly the right support. I'm not really a runner, but I am a walker (3 - 5 miles a day) and they're just what I wanted. Mostly, I've been looking for beautifully, brightly colored shoes, and Mizuno women's shoes have come through again!

These shoes are great for a neutral runner who wants a versatile, lightweight sneaker for varied terrains. (I wear it running on the sidewalk as well as on trails.) It's neither too squishy nor too hard. Two very important caveats: 1) you have to size up 1/2 size (I am consistently a 7, sometimes even a 6.5, but I had to take a 7.5 in this shoe), and 2) if your foot is wide this shoe probably will not work for you.

I normally wear a medium width. I tried the medium width and it was way too narrow. I tried the wide and it rubs my feet still. Overall these are very narrow shoes.

Mizuno's are best shoes for me to wear for all my fitness classes. Good support and stability.

I have three pairs of Mizuno's. I wear them for various fitness classes. They have great support, stability and cushioning for cardio and strength training.

When I tried on the Mizuno Wave Rider 20 PROS *Cushion in the sole of the heel felt great (especially because my current running shoes are worn down). *Rise wasn't too high or low--just right. (I don't like the no-rise, flat foot shoes). *I liked the tubular-style (not flat) laces; it seemed like they would be less likely to get twisted. *Nice enough color, fabric and style. *Width and length ok. I usually wear a size 6.5 to 7. I have a regular heel and wider ball of foot. The 7 was the right length and size. and width was OK. The pinky side of the ball of foot was probably pressed in a little bit, but I didn't notice because the mesh was very forgiving and probably would have adjusted to my foot. CONS *The deal breaker was the ceiling height of toe box, which was low; the stitching for laces enforcement pressed down just above big toe. I thought I'd wear them around the house for 10 minutes to "give them a chance," but it was too tight across the top of the toe and painful, so I'll have to return them.
I'd also recommend:
I usually wear Saucony, but wanted to try something different.

I always run in ASICS size 8 and I got an 8 in these despite the reviews and they fit fine comfort wise, but they just look like my feet are a little wide for them. But I love them!

Amazing! I used to wear the Mixuno 10, (it was THAT long ago), and loved it. I have a long narrow foot and medium fit me just fine. I’ve tried MANY other shoes through the years. Including several Mizunos. THESE fit me comfortably right out of the box. Delighted!

Bought these to do HIIT training. Saw a review and this was the #2 shoe recommended for ladies. It works for me. I was a lifetime Nike customer and after a workout, my feet were sore. With these, my feet do not get sore.

These are my favorite shoes! so comfortable and true to size. I'm going to look for more like them, because I like to rotate my shoes on a daily basis.

Love this shoe, I have been a mizuno wave rider for hard for the last few years with the exception of one generation of this shoe. I run on trail and streets 8-15 miles per week and usually go through two pairs a year, the old pair becomes the muddy trail pair and the new one becomes the main pair.

I have a foot that borders on wide but most medium shoes fit fine. This shoe is definitely more narrow than most for me.

This is my second pair of Mizuno's and they run small! I normally wear a size 8 AA. I needed an 8.5 B (or "normal/medium) for them to fit properly. Everyone's foot is different - but this has been my experience twice. They are wonderful sneakers.

This is my 3rd pair of Wave Rider 20s. They are just comfortable and I use these for walking 7 miles a day. This is the second time in the grey/pink. One of the reviewers thought the colors are boring. I think otherwise. I like the grey because a lot of times I'll just wear these shoes when I'm out and about. I also own a blue pair which are quite loud - i.e. you can be seen me coming a long way off. Some of the other brand shoes have really funky color combos, these don't. But there are plenty of nice colors to choose from.

Best shoes I have had since the Brooks Ravenna 5. I stocked up on Brooks Ravenna 5 and kept buying them until I could not find them anymore. I have gone through so many different shoes since January because my feet were killing in every Brooks shoes. These are AWESOME! These are great for those who under pronate (supinate). I heard they last 400-500 miles which is nice because my last shoes were only lasting 200 miles. I run between 50-70 miles a week. For sizing, I recommend going up half a size and if your feet are slightly wide or if you just like to have extra room, go with the WIDE. In brooks I wear a size 6 Medium Width, but in these I wear 6.5 WIDE. PERFECT! They will feel firm at the beginning but after 20-40 miles they soften up. Please Mizuno do not get all fancy and try to "update" these. They are perfect! I have officially converted to Mizuno from Brooks. Sorry Brooks...

Mizuno is best for my feet, and these Wave Rider 20s felt fine. I did not see a drop-off in comfort or longevity from earlier Mizunos I have owned. In fact, purchasing a second pair of 20s shortly here.
