This coat checks all the boxes needed for a cold, rainy Seattle winter. Sadly, I'll be returning it because the zipper sticks.

I really was hoping that this jacket would work for me, but being large busted and high waisted (but not plus size) pretty much precludes me from wearing most TNF coats and jackets. I am an active senior so I tried a 3 in 1 and the Ancha parka but had to return both. Ended up with the Tomales Bay jacket and the thermolball jacket both in XL. Not everyone who wants a TNF jacket or coat is a skier so please make some of your jackets with a looser fit.

I like north face products but I need something that will keep my face from getting wet in these Oregon winters.

Bought this last year hoping it would last me for the next few winters. Loved it for the first few months, but the zipper area has gradually become detached from one side and now the jacket cannot be zipped.

This jacket had so much potential but the size is ginormous. I’m 5’10 and chest 32D, and the jacket fit on me like a bell. I did order size medium because I usually need that for torso and sleeve length but the medium hung off me about 3-4 inches on both sides of my waist and bottom. I’m returning. The other thing is the hood doesn’t have the visor piece for extra protection and with a pony tail in, it doesn’t cover my hairline. Unfortunately this one didn’t work for me.

I am what people would call pear shaped, in that my hipa are bigger than my chest/shoulders. For that reason I ordered a Large. It fit well around my hips, but was too big from the waist and up. The sleeves were past my fingertips and there was just too much bulkiness going on up top. Sadly, I'll need to return. For reference, im 5'5", 170lbs and usually wear a size Medium in TNF jackets.

I contemplated returning this jacket due to the amount of noise it makes when the material moves in the slightest. I'm hoping that it will tone down with wear, otherwise I just threw away over $200. The fit is perfect, it's not as warm as I would have liked, but it is a perfect jacket for a cool, early fall day. I was hoping to wear this for colder days while watching my children's outdoor sports activities, but I don't think it's warm enough for that. It's really a lightweight jacket for brisk weather.

I love this jacket but the Zipper is so frustrating that I find I don't wear it often

This was my first The North Face purchase. So very disappointed. Tbe coat is not warm so is not good for winter, maybe spring. I can't understand why this difficult zipper has not been addressed by North Face. It has a double zipper that is nearly impossible to zip and unzip. Returning it to retail store where I bought it and exchanging for a different brand.

The coat has a nice fit and kept me warm in 30-40 degree weather, but the zippers get stuck, so much so that you just have to take the coat off over your head. I thought it was just the particular coat I ended up with, so exchanged it, but the second one was even worse. I plan to return it, assuming I can actually get out of it.
