FIT runs true to size with enough room to move without "crunching" sensitive areas. Drawstrings are there for custom waist adjustment; the material appears to be of good quality and weight (time will tell) making these Shorts a great investment....... I recommend these shorts to anyone who is active around water or the couch!!

Columbia shorts are the only few shorts I own for a reason. They are super comfortable and versatile. You can use them as swimming trunks,casual wear, or as fishing shorts. Belt loops are added for a belt or to hook on tools/keys. Highly recommend these shorts to any person!

These are some very quality swim shorts. Material is light, dries quickly, and fits comfortable around the waist. The leg openings are a little large, so maybe a smaller size would be recommended if you like a tighter fit around your thighs. I ordered the M shorts and I wear a 32-33 waist pants, about 180 pounds if that helps you in choosing a size.

Got the Navy gingham and it's a nice summer pattern for swim wear. Ordered in Medium this time since I found the Small (in a solid color) I ordered a month before felt ok, but slightly tight for a 32 waist. The Medium is comfortable for 32 waist, but the leg openings are now somewhat too wide. Oh well, I can size up or down when I wear it since I have small and medium choices. Maybe these will work even better for those in the odd sizes, lol. 31 waist can go for small. 33 waist can go for medium.

A nice fit true to its size, nice style for hanging around the beach or harbor, will shock your fishing buddies with your swagger! A nice all around water short, dries quickly, nice water resistance.

I use these shorts for everything. They are great in the water for swimming or fishing as they are designed. But my favorite use is for Golf. They are light and cool while being flexible. I have purchased many pairs of backcasts through the years and they just keep getting better with the fit and the feel of the shorts.

Just received these in the blue gingham and the color and quality are great! Perfect summer purchase.

These are great trunks, very lightweight but made well enough to last. The only complaint is they run about a half size large. I ordered the XL which is my size in 95% of all swim trunks, but would consider a L next time.

I purchased these super backcast shorts in navy gingham for my teenage son. He has gotten so many compliments on them and he loves them. They are great quality and perfect to wear all summer especially if you are in and out of the pool- they dry super quick. These super backcast shorts are just a little bit shorter than the regular backcast shorts, and the fit is great. Would highly recommend!

The waist size is perfect but the shorts are baggy.

The shorts are nice, but I guess was expecting VERY high quality since it's from Columbia. The drawstring is pretty thin and the mesh liner is passable.

This is a nice pair of shorts. Sturdy, quick drying material, good fit. Unfortunately, the color depicted in the online photos of the "Carbon Hawaiian Throwback Print" is different from what was delivered. The photo shows a light blue pattern on a white background. The actual garment's color was more of a medium to dark blue pattern on a pale green or tan background. Not exactly what I expected.

Great multi functional shorts. Great for the boat, fishing or the pool. Royal blue with retro design really pops!

This is a really nice bathing suit. My husband finds it to be comfortable and the material and pattern are really nice. I sometimes have to order an extra large for my husband but the large were quite roomy. I ordered a second pair in a solid color because they are so nice they could double as shorts when going into stores or restaurants. My only complaint would be that style-wise the legs could be a little narrower.

These shorts are great. The fit like I expected. The one down side, is the interior webbing. I have not worn shorts with the webbing in a long time, so I will more than likely cut it out. I really like the zipper pockets to keep everything from falling out, while on the boat. I wish they were a little more stretchy, but all in all, I would recommend these shorts.
