I have these pants in two colors and love them! They have become the only hiking pants I want to wear. I am 5-4 and got the regular inseam and it is a little long, but I would be afraid the short inseam would be too short. I love the elastic waist with a drawstring, it makes them so comfortable to wear for long hikes. The reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I find that they stretch out during the day. They fit great when I first put them on but as I hike I tend to have to tighten the drawstring as the waist and legs seem to stretch out. I am considering getting them in a small but I don't want them to be too small. Overall, love the pants. Super comfortable, great breathability, perfect for hiking.

I bought these to travel in for a trip out west to do some hiking. They started pilling and wearing through in 2 days. Just from sitting for a couple of hours. They are so comfortable and flattering I just wish they lasted long enough to be worth the money

I really like the look, fit, and feel of these pants, HOWEVER... They are absolutely NOT "the kind of hiking pants that will hold up to anything that you can throw at them!" After wearing them for a couple days hiking at Acadia National Park, they are full of fuzzy parts and pulls from brushing against rocks, branches, and the velcro on my rain jacket. These might be fine for casual wear, but do not hold up for serious hiking!

I love these pant and have just about every color, both in the long pants and capris. I wanted a lighter gray than the graphite that I have but, what I got looks nothing like the picture. See photos . . .

I own the pants in black in a medium. For some reason, I had to go up to a large in the grey, so the sizing is off. I love the color, but the fabric is more gathered on one side than the other, so unfortunately, I’m returning them.

I'm 5'7, 140 lbs, usually wear a medium, and the medium is a perfect fit. I also have a 32 inch inseam, so the length is perfect for me, but may not be for someone with short legs. This is the second pair of these pants that I have bought because the first pair which I paid more for (not from Zappos) lasted 6 months. This has been my experience with ANY brand of pants made from this material. They feel great, they look great, and I love the deep pockets that will hold my i-phone 7plus. I swore I wouldn't buy any more pants made of this material because 6 months is the absolute most wear I can get out of them. However, because they are so comfortable and look so great, I broke down and bought a pair for a trip to CA (5 hours on a plane). The problem with the pants is pilling. They look like my cats have used them for a scratching post (which they have NOT).

I had high hopes for these pants based on the rave reviews, so I was disappointed when they didn't meet my expectations. On the positive side: I liked the fabric -- it isn't a slick nylon like many hiking pants; it is soft, almost cotton-like and doesn't make a swishing noise when walking. I liked the adjustable waistband because it eliminates the gap in so many other pants. The pants are lightweight, so they would be cool in hot climates, pack down easily, and (with the possible exception of the waistband) should dry quickly. The negatives: I found the rise too short in front which created an uncomfortable wedgy. There aren't enough pockets -- some sleek zippered pockets on the leg or backside would have been nice. And why create a permanently wrinkled look by deliberately puckering the seams on the legs? The pants would look much neater with smooth seams. I do appreciate that North Face makes larger sizes for plus size women who like to pursue active outdoor adventures and I hope I can find another style that works better for me.

These fit true to size and consistently over the years. What has changed, however, is the fabric, at least on the TNF Black. They are shiny, which is really not a good look! I have these in Medium Grey, and they are not at all shiny. The black are satiny like pajama pants and they are going straight back to Zappos!

I love the Aphrodite 2.0 and have two pairs of the capris in a small. However, I bought the pants in a small and the waist is too tight; it doesn't have the same give as the capris. Medium is too big. Disappointed because I really love these pants.

I am 5'6", 125 lbs, waist 27", hips 37". I have three pairs of the capris in size small, and they fit perfectly. I ordered two pairs of long pants in short length, a small black and a medium blue, since I had read that the long pants run a little smaller than the capris. The small pants were way too small; I could barely get them over my hips. The medium pants are a little roomy, but I decided to keep them since they are for casual use. The 30" length is good for me. I like the fabric and styling of the aphrodite 2.0 pants and will look for others once I see how this pair holds up. I gave 3 stars overall since the sizing was off for me.

I have been wearing Aphrodite 2 pants size small for years and have loved them. The past two pants I've ordered (one 7/2019 and now) have come too small in the waist without enough elasticity to get them on and off easily. With two separate orders months apart, I do not think the fit is a fluke. These will have to be returned. Sadly no one at The North Face has any idea of what I'm talking about but the fit has definitely changed and isn't good for me anymore. (And I know what you are probably thinking...no, I have not changed weight. ;-). )

I have owned 2 pairs of these pants for years. I ordered a new one in different color and the quality is now horrible. First day wearing them, the back tore wide open at the seam. I looked closely at other seams, and they are all starting to unravel. Very poor quality.

My wife loved the Aphrodite 2.0 trousers for few years. She was always secure in knowing the fit and feel would be the same time after time no matter the color. Not anymore. The new Aphrodite 2.0 are no longer 95% nylon; they are a blend of nylon and another synthetic. She has a very acute sense of touch and could tell in a moment the new version are not like the tried-and-true pants she has in the closet. To add insult to injury, the fit isn't like it used to be. She isn't large - maybe 112 lb tops and long legged for 5'8" - but now the hips are tight and the inseam is about an inch shorter when compared to her other earlier pants. (The version she had - and returned - was her normal M/R.) She likes pants with drawstrings so she can cinch them to her liking but she is disappointed in the changes that have been made. Maybe if North Face offered a Tall version she might be a little happier but she's very grumpy now; and if Mama's not happy then nobody is happy.

I love these pants, they are kind of like the lululemon pants but so much better. they are much more comfortable. I only wish they had more color options like a true brown (chocolate/dirt) or khaki.

Very comfortable, soft, and quick to dry. These are my go-to pants for vacation. They do pill up incredibly easily and snag so be gentle with them.

I love these pants! They're perfect for warm weather and travel. However, color choices are very limitedwhy only dark green? Beige hasn't been available in years. Also, short sizes are often out of stock lately. North Face, please bring back more colors and keep a better range of sizes available!
