I ran in Asics Nimbus shoes for years, which caused me to get a neuroma in my right foot. They've always been narrow, but each successive release seems more narrow than the last. Good cushion, but if you don't want your feet squeezed these aren't for you. I've moved on to Altras and now Hoka wide Bondi 5's. Much better options out there since these are soooo narrow and tight.

Not sure what happened to the nimbus but they got it wrong. The toe box is way to tight even in a 4E. The length doesn't seem to be a issue, so ordering another size up to try and make the width work doesn't. When I tried to do this the width was still to tight and the length of the shoe was now way to long. Unfortunately for the time being I will have to find another sneaker to mix in with my sneaker rotation, because of this. The thing they did get right was the he heel of the shoe. The heel clutching system that they have is excellent and there is zero movement in the back of the foot. The cushion is great too. Fix the toe box and this sneaker will be great! If you can make it like the Nimbus 17 toe box with nimbus 19 heel clutching system it will be perfect!

I purchased the shoes online a year after purchasing the number 17 version It's a totally different fit and not the same issue at all. I have returned them, and went to my local running store for a different pair of ASICS

I'm a runner and have worn Nimbus since the 15, best shoe ever. The quality of asics has always been poor, my toes come out of every pair. Now the shoe performance itself in general is terrible. They just don't fit the same or feel comfortable anymore. I'm really sad, marathon training and I have to find a new shoe now :(

I have a few colors in the Nimbus 18 and I loved them and still do. I bought the 19's since I was ready for a new pair but like everyone else they were so tight I went another half size up and they just don't have the comfort the 18's do. They hurt the ball of my foot so definitely not same comfort as the 18's. Sometimes i suffer from plantar fasciitis and The heel to toe mm has changed, I'm not sure if that has something to do with it but they don't feel anything like the 18's and sadly,I had to buy another pair of the 18's.

I have bought these shoes for the past 20 years in a 10 regular. I had to buy a 10 D and they are still too tight across the top of foot and ball of foot. Also, feel too small in length. I am in the process of exchanging a 3rd time to a 10.5 D, 10 E, or 10.5 E. Stores do not carry wides so this is very frustrating & time consuming. I can't believe I have to go up two width sizes when I am a regular and possibly a half size up in length. I have always bought 10 regular without problems. The shoe colors are beautiful, the fit is horrible. Will switch to another shoe if I can't get an exchange.

Have been wearing asics nimbus shoes for 10 years because of the cushiony soles. The 19s definitely feel different and not in a good way. Returned them and bought a pair of 18s with the old soles. Much more comfortable.

I have been wearing all NIMBUS models since since the 14's. The 16's were the best ever. The 17's and 18's were "acceptable" but the 19's are the WORST Nimbus ever made. They are very uncomfortable and the cushioning is a total disaster. If ASICS don't go back to EVA in the midsoles, it might as well discontinue the model because "true Nimbus runners" will never accept them and buy future models.

The Nimbus 19 do not have the same width as the Nimbus 18. Purchased the 4H aND the shoe is not as wide. Went into the outlet store to exchange the shoes and the employee was aware of the shoe not being as wide. Hoping Asics can correct the sizing issue. Because I love the Nimbus 18 stye and width.

I don't know why, but for some reason these shoes seem to grow more and more narrow. Too tight of a fit.

Unfortunately I'm not happy with the gel nimbus 18. I bought 3 Gel Nimbus 16 prior to these and was pleased. These 18s are "same size" but are narrower, tighter in toe(digging in to little toe), shorter, not as cushiony on walk, causing me to walk on outside of feel, generally uncomfortable and not doing what 16s did for my knees and back. Wore them about 8-10 times now. What should I do.... Mike B

Having been a loyal wearer of the GEL-Nimbus from Series 12 through 17, I had been quite disappointed when ASICS changed the shoe's fit last year for Series 18. It's smaller, and even when I go up by half a size so the length is correct, the revised last is too narrow and feels uncomfortable on my sole. So, I had hoped that the company would be sensible enough to listen to the many complaints about this and that Series 19 would revert to a Series 17-style fit. Unfortunately not, so I returned this and won't be buying any more ASICS. Ah, well, it was good while it lasted.

Every year I have to get a different Nimbus size. There doesn't seem to be much consistency in sizes from year to year. These were way to small in the toe box and actually pushed on my big toe bone on the top. I'll go with a bigger size and see if I'm more impressed but as of now, I did not care for the 19's at all and have been wearing these since the 14's.

Tight and hard! Top of foot presses against top of shoe, it's like the padding is too thick or high. Where are the nice colors for the ladies? Colors have been off past two years.

Let me start out by saying that I've been with the Nimbus line of shoes since the 16; not incredibly long, but nonetheless I've seen quite a few changes over these 4 iterations. Of all the versions, the 18 is my favorite. My least favorite, and by far the worst version I've tried, is the new 19. My reasons are as follows. 1. Very tight fitting - I normally wear a size 9.5. But after a few hours of just general walking, my feet were throbbing and aching. I returned the 9.5 19's and exchanged them for a size 10. These seemed to fit much better, similar to a size 9.5 in a Nimbus 17 or 18. Walking was one thing; running was quite another. 2. Running was an adventure in pain - After about 10 minutes of running at a rate of an 8 minute mile, my shins began to burn. I noticed my calves doing the same thing. I stopped to walk a bit and then tried running again; the same thing happened. After I stopped running, my ankles were sore and weak. I was becoming very much aware of the stiff "cushioning" in the 19's by the "hot spots" forming on the balls of my feet. The "cushioning" in the 19's is FAR TOO STIFF. The cushioning in the 17's was wonderful, but the 19's cushion density felt at least 2x harder; just not what I need on a long run. 3. The bigger size requirement - I'm not used to running in a bigger shoe, as I had to size up to a 10. It really threw off my stride, which also contributed to my pain. I obviously returned the 19's and ordered another pair of 18's to stock up before they run out. My suggestions to improve the 19's are as follows: 1. Reduce the density of the foam to alleviate hot spots and pain in the forefoot. The 17's cushioning was a wonderful balance between support and comfort. I would suggest a similar design philosophy in future versions. 2. Correct the sizing issue to make the 19's fit as expected. A tighter fitting shoe should not require moving up a half size larger to ensure proper fit. Asics - PLEASE rethink the design on this product. If future iterations of the Nimbus line are like the 19's, I'll most likely look elsewhere when my 5 pairs of 18's wear out. Marc Hoffman
