Even though it's 4e still way too tight. I always bought Asics shoes and never had any issues until lately. Models are running smaller not sure what's the reason behind it.

I'm sooo disappointed!!! I used to LOVVVE GEL NIMBUS, and could always order online truecto size. Now I have had to return 2 different, recent pairs as they're running smaller & tighter width all of a sudden??? I won't order another until you go back to designing & manufacturing them better.

I loved my Gel-Nimbus 17 (D) and walked them to death. Should have believed the reviews that said the new models were narrower. If you need a wider shoe, try Brooks.

I have narrow feet, and usually Asics are loose on me. These are impossible to wear, don't think they can stretch with time. Something went wrong here.

Update to my prior post. After less than a week of wearing these shoes, the shoe lace started to break, right at the eyelets. Apparently, something is sharp and cutting the laces. Customer support was very helpful.

Asics Gel Nimbus are the only running shoe that I have ever worn, and I have never been uncomfortable running in them until now! I have been running for 23 years in these shoes. The Gel-Nimbus 19 are narrow in the toe cage squeezing my toes together, the shoes repeatedly give me blisters, and now I have some knee pain. I would NEVER recommend these to a friend! I used to tell friends that I felt like I was running on clouds in Gel Nimbus, not any more!

I loved these shoes and they were the only brand I would run in. Now they are so uncomfortable and so narrow that my feet are aching by the end of my run. Unforutney because of this I'm saying goodbye to Asics and trying to find a new brand of shoe to replace it.

These are the worst pair of Asics I have ever owned, please bring back the former Nimbus models. They are too narrow and my foot is cramped. I needed to order a wide to make it comfortable but am in search of a new running shoe as these are not the same as all of my other Nimbus 18 and 17 shoes. I am an avid runner with serious foot problems and just couldn't take a chance with my shoes but now am left with no choice but to try a new company.

I, like most of the other customers, agree the toe box is way too narrow in the 19. The 18 was borderline but worked for me. I am training for a 1/2 marathon in a month and desperately needed to replace the 18's but I think I'll have to find a different running shoe for the rest of my training. Hate to do it but the 19 is just not going to work. With the exception of the nimbus 13 &. 14, I have worn asics for the past 25 years, this is very disappointing:(

I have been running in Nimbus for many years. With the 17, I found the toe box much too narrow. I ran in them anyway. When I bought the 18 I had to size up 1/2 size. I avoided wearing these shoes cause they just felt sloppy. But for some time I have had to wear these. Recently I tried to find another pair of Nimbus. Went back to the 1/2 size down..tried a Wide. That was still too small in toe box. I tried several other models of Asics...Same thing-toe box too narrow.. Today I received in the mail my new pair of sized up Ascis (same as I have been wearing) and same thing...toe box too narrow in the sized up pair!! I was wondering if the shoes were mislabeled. But it doesn't matter...I am so Done with Asics!!! I have spent much time today researching running shoes and it sounds like there are good ones out there that state the toe box has room. Perhaps these companies have been reading the Ascis reviews. Good bye Asics.....until I learn that you have hugely redesigned your shoes!

I fell in love with the Gel-Nimbus 17 for running purposes. I had never had such a comfortable shoe before, and its fit, cushioning, and arch support for my high arches was phenomenal. It seemed like a no-brainer to use this shoe for work as well since I am on my feet for almost 12 hours as a labor and delivery nurse, and I recommended them to many of my co-workers. When I bought the Gel-Nimbus 18, I already had to go up from a size 9 to a size 9 1/2 because the toe box had been changed and was way too narrow for my feet. Then, this year, I ended up properly fitting only into a size 10 - being a size 8 in regular shoes! After trying the shoes on in the store and walking around in them for a while, I decided against replacing my shoes with a Gel-Nimbus 19. Nothing about them reminded me of the Gel-Nimbus 17 with which I fell in love and which were so perfect for my feet. Please ASICS, bring back the awesome version of the Gel-Nimbus with its comfort, support, and way better fit.

I have been wearing the same size Gel-Nimbus for years and never had a problem till the Gel-Nimbus 19. It feels a size shorter and tight in the toe box. Wish I had read all the other similar reviews on Aisics website first.

I went up a half-size as recommended by various reviewers but the shoe was still too short and too narrow. I may try to go up another half-size. It is very hard to get a truly-neutral, well-cushioned, wide shoe. This shoe is not truly-neutral but I used to be able to wear it for awhile until the mid-sole started to break down.

I am a die hard Gel nimbus user and the new 19 is awful. It is at least a half size smaller and much narrower then its predecessor. Asics what did you do !!!

Nothing but foot issues with this one. I don't know why they changed a good shoe. Everything is smaller and tighter.

I've been an avid Gel Nimbus wearer since about 2010. Each new version got slightly more narrow in the toe box. The 19s are awful. After 10 pairs of Gel Nimbus shoes, I finally had to call it quits. These shoes are just too, uncomfortably narrow. Why must Asics change things for the worse?!

Like so many other reviewers have said, Asics has changed their sizing. I have always been a size 11, medium width. I listened to the other reviews and ordered a half-size up, which may work, I’m still not sure because I had to return the shoe because it’s also too narrow. Hoping the next widest width will work. Seriously — why would his shoe company change its sizing? Clothing companies often change their sizing to make it seem as if formally large sizes are now smaller (to make purchasers feel good), but ASICs is doing this the other way around. It’s unfortunate because it damages the goodwill that the company has worked so hard to keep.

These shoes are not even close to quadruple (4E) width. Right out if the box, it's obvious that the toe box is very narrow. They are at least 1.5cm narrower at their widest tread than the GT2000's. Do not buy this shoes if you truly need a double-double wide.

As others noted, these run really small. I ordered both half size too big and one size wider than normal ... still too small. I don't trust the sizing at all.

I bought the Gel-Nimbus 19 Couldn't And was extremely disappointed. The bottom of the toe box is unbelievably uncomfortable! Feels like the seam of my sock is on the bottom of my foot, like there's something bumpy under my foot. It's not my sock or anything else. It's just this terribly designed shoe! Anyone else have this problem?

The earlier models saved me from chronic plantar pain. After 3 runs in this shoe my plantar came back. I'm gutted. Please bring back that plush ride.

Don't buy from Zappos. Horrible customer service and blame you when they send the wrong color in the wrong box.

I have been wearing the Nimbus line for years. Not this time. I always wear 11.5 in this shoe and all other running shoes. This year's Nimbus was narrow and tight. So small that I had to go up a full size to 12.5 before it felt ok. Even then, I can tell the heel is going to be a problem and cause pain from how snug it is. This shoe was so bad it forced me to find a great Mizuno pair. Now I am a Mizuno fan.
I'd also recommend:

I LOVE ASICS, and bought this as my 5th pair of Nimbus'a few weeks ago, in anticipation for having them for my Marathon next week. I only race in ASICS (Kayanos or Nimbus') and I do have a Wide foot, so I go with the men's when I cant find a nice pair in Women's Wide. Unfortunately these fit differently. I am SO EXTREMELY unhappy that these are so tight in the toe box. I have tried to "break them in" and even run in them but my toes are squished and go numb! So, NO marathon in these Nimbus 19's. Why oh why they changed the design when it seemed they had it right already, is beyond me. I should have listened to some of the other reviews I had read (as the tight toe box is a common complaint in the 19's)
