After having a stress fracture in my foot years ago , I found that the Gel Nimbus was the only shoe with adequate forefoot cushioning. Unfortunately, there seems to be very little support in the 19 to the point where I can feel my foot being stressed again. Also, I agree with others about the narrowed toe box. Very disappointed - it took a long time to find the right shoe.

These are the worst Asics Gel Nimbus that I have gotten. They are so small and narrow!!!! I went up to a size 9 from an 8.5 and will return those too. I had to wear these all day long at work and my feet were suffering! If you're used to the cushy Gel Nimbus of the past, buyer beware, these are not the same! If there were a zero rating for comfort that's what they would have gotten. I am so sad....I loved Asics Gel Nimbus.

Yes, that's right. You can probably find my review of the 17s, one of the best training shoes I've ever had. Then I reviewed the 18s which were much worse. I suspect they made the shoe stiffer.
Finally, the 19s are worse than the 18s because they made the toe box way too small. Did they change the last? Did the factory screw up?
Sorry to say, but after decades of running in ASICS I need to find a different manufacturer.
ASICS, are you listening?

I had been wearing GEl Kinsei for about 10 yrs. Nimbus 19 was recommend as closet model to Kinsei. Less quality and cushion. BRING BACK KINSEI!

Worn the nimbus for years. Always get the same size. Returned for half size larger...still too small and narrow. Will be looking at other brands. Disappointed!!!

Ugh, this shoe is far different from its predecessors, and I am finally giving up on my beloved Asics. The whole line, at least for me, is too flawed--and I write this after spending $1000 on the last few pairs, only to be disheartened and upset after a day or two of wearing them. Goodwill is loving me, but the cost is too high.
I have been a faithful fan of Asics for at least 10 years; I even made size accommodations over the last few years as the company obviously moved their production to a new manufacturer. Now, though, my 9N has gone to a 9.5 and even a 10 or 10.5 narrow, and the shoes just do not fit right: they are too short, and the toe box is far too narrow (and I have very narrow feet!).
I sure wish the Asics folks would read all of our postings as they will certainly not survive if so many of us former devotees move on and take our business elsewhere.
Disappointed in Asics.
I'd also recommend:

Even though it's 4e still way too tight. I always bought Asics shoes and never had any issues until lately. Models are running smaller not sure what's the reason behind it.

I'm sooo disappointed!!! I used to LOVVVE GEL NIMBUS, and could always order online truecto size. Now I have had to return 2 different, recent pairs as they're running smaller & tighter width all of a sudden??? I won't order another until you go back to designing & manufacturing them better.

I loved my Gel-Nimbus 17 (D) and walked them to death. Should have believed the reviews that said the new models were narrower. If you need a wider shoe, try Brooks.

Normally wear a 9.5 in the gel-nimbus, ordered a 10 and too small in toe box. Wore in house a few hours and toes numb! So disappointed because there were my favorite go to sneakers. Listen to the reviews ASICS and correct this problem!

I have narrow feet, and usually Asics are loose on me. These are impossible to wear, don't think they can stretch with time. Something went wrong here.

Asics Gel Nimbus are the only running shoe that I have ever worn, and I have never been uncomfortable running in them until now! I have been running for 23 years in these shoes. The Gel-Nimbus 19 are narrow in the toe cage squeezing my toes together, the shoes repeatedly give me blisters, and now I have some knee pain. I would NEVER recommend these to a friend! I used to tell friends that I felt like I was running on clouds in Gel Nimbus, not any more!

I loved these shoes and they were the only brand I would run in. Now they are so uncomfortable and so narrow that my feet are aching by the end of my run. Unforutney because of this I'm saying goodbye to Asics and trying to find a new brand of shoe to replace it.

Back they go! Tightest, most narrow shoe. I had to order a full size up too. Not at all like the older models.

Asics has completely changed / narrowed the toe box on the Nimbus and I am extremely disappointed in this shoe for that reason. This shoe also runs very small. Because of Morton's Neuroma's, I have to run in a wide toe box shoe and I used to love the Nimbus because of their wide toe box. But now, because of Asics major changes, I am again in the hunt for a brand that makes a shoe to meet my needs.

These are the worst pair of Asics I have ever owned, please bring back the former Nimbus models. They are too narrow and my foot is cramped. I needed to order a wide to make it comfortable but am in search of a new running shoe as these are not the same as all of my other Nimbus 18 and 17 shoes. I am an avid runner with serious foot problems and just couldn't take a chance with my shoes but now am left with no choice but to try a new company.

Worst Asics shoes I've ever worn. I've bought the Asics Gel Kayano for over 15 years and recently tried this Nimbus. Huge difference in fit and so uncomfortable. I just wish I could return them.

I, like most of the other customers, agree the toe box is way too narrow in the 19. The 18 was borderline but worked for me. I am training for a 1/2 marathon in a month and desperately needed to replace the 18's but I think I'll have to find a different running shoe for the rest of my training. Hate to do it but the 19 is just not going to work. With the exception of the nimbus 13 &. 14, I have worn asics for the past 25 years, this is very disappointing:(

Extremely narrow! I have a 4A heel and I could not even get this shoe on my foot. I ordered the same size I wore in a prior version of this shoe and it was noticeably much smaller. Asics, please return to the version 13-15 version sizing!!

Bought these to replace my Gel-Numbus 18's. Bad decision. They feel tight and caused a blister to form on my heel. The whole heel area is tight and high - how would it NOT cause a blister? Looking for a new shoe now...

I bought the Nimbus 19 when they first came out. I had to immediately return them and size up. Love the looks of them but hate the feel and design of this new nimbus. They still sit in the box and look brand new. I have worn Nimbus for so many years and they have always been my go to running shoe. Please ASIC go back to wider toebox.
