I first ordered Small based on the recommendation of the site. But for my 5' 4" and 110 lbs frame, it looked a bit big. I could have still used it but the sleeves were longer than I was comfortable with. I returned and got XS. Fits perfectly. Snug and sleeves are perfect length. I would definitely recommend.

I've worn my jacket once so far, while collecting field data for work. Luckily, it rained while I was out so I got to test it! While my pants were soaking wet, my top half was totally dry. I hope the jacket serves its purpose as well for years to come. I don't love how noisy and stiff it is when I move around, but maybe this will lessen as the jacket is worn in over time. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

I typically wear petite sizes, and this jacket was too big for me even in XS. It's a great jacket and I wish it fit. Note that this is a "relaxed fit" jacket. I would recommend this jacket, so long as you don't need a petite size.

I bring my Venture rain jacket with me every time I go hiking as an emergency rain protection. It's super light weight and folds up small in my backpack. So far I've worn it on three rainy hikes, and it keeps me totally dry. Not warm though, so definitely layer up with a fleece or under-armor type garment. Look forward to wearing it during the summer monsoon season in southwest Utah. I even feel good about wearing it in rough conditions because of the life time warranty!

It has rained here in Washington DC for nearly a month straight in May. This jacket is perfect for the rainy weather and a must have with the zippers under the arm for ventilation. Keeps me from sweating to death on the Metro train commute home and ready to step out into any down pour in my path.

My only problem was it needed to be larger across the hip area for a sweatshirt to be worn under it.

I use it when it's raining and it's very effective! I like that it's lightweight and easy to do every day things in.

I like that the new items are more traditional colors and are longer. I used to struggle with North face being short and now they fit great! Thank you!

I am moving to London and wanted to get a quality rain coat that I can throw over any kind of outfit. I had the chance to use it a few times this spring and it's really great. If you want to wear it over something warmer, you might want to size up because it's not lined and won't keep you warm on its own. But it will keep you nice and dry. The attached hood is really nice and the pockets are in the perfect place.

I bought this coat before a trip to Uganda during rainy season. It worked wonderfully. I stayed completely dry and it isn't an overly heavy coat (which is important when it is 80 degrees F!) which I can see as being problematic in colder climates but in general it is a really fantastic coat and I would definitely recommend this coat!

I went with sizing recommended by The North Face website. That was my first mistake. I had to return the jacket since it was too small. I have not re-ordered yet. Hopefully the next size up will fit properly.

I bought this jacket for a trip to Ireland because I wanted something waterproof/wind proof. The jacket kept me dry and protected from the elements. It isn't super warm but over a sweater or long sleeved shirt it was perfect. I had to buy up a size because it was so small around the hips and then it was big in the shoulders. Good quality and nice look while doing its job.

The jacket was very cute and attractive. The only issue is that it runs a little small. Had to return due to this.

Initially when I brought this product, I thought it was going to be a lot thicker, with a fleece lining. However, this jacket is very thin and lightweight, and does serve it's purpose as a rain jacket. I do wear a fleece jacket underneath and I am still able to feel comfortable moving my arms. I am 5'8 and the sleeve length is perfect.

I returned the xxl for a 3x and it feels exactly the same in size but I kept it because I need a rainjacket for vacation.

I wanted the jacket for walking around campus for spring/fall when weather is rainy and windy. The jacket has so far worked well! It is not as warm as pictured, but is a very nice jacket. I got a large so that it would fit my waist and I love it! The sleeves are just a bit long.

I bought the rain jacket for a scheduled vacation to Ireland. In addition, I will use it for rainy days. It is lightweight, and easy to wear. Fits a little small.

Bought this for a trip and hoping it will keep me dry. My husband has had a similar jacket and it has held up for years and he wears it a lot!

My daughter loved the jacket. The quality and fit are great. She expected it to be somewhat of a heavier fabric but it is extremely wind and waterproof. Thanks for a quality product.

Bought this to replace an old Hyvent rain jacket which North Face replaced with its fabulous warranty! It's light in actual weight but fabric feels a bit thick and bulky when worn. Not uncomfortable or hot. Very waterproof, which is the main point! Love the colors (I have heather green). It can be worn camping, etc. or as a casual rain jacket around town. Wish it wasn't so stiff for packing. To help with fit: I'm generally a size 2, small bust, but have long arms so need a small in anything long sleeved in NF, but XS in t shirts, etc. Still, this feels bigger overall than most small NF jackets I've tried, yet I'm sure XS would be too tight in shoulders/ arms/hood.

I like the classic Venture jacket and have a number of them so I thought this would be a good addition with a slightly different look and I really like it- it is a bit more stiff than my other Venture jackets but it is also warmer. A big plus for me is the pockets aren't the mesh which tend to get holes easily- definitely a better design!
