I got this for my granddaughter and as soon as she saw it she loved it! However, the fit was too small for her body, and the sleeves were perfectly long! She is a size 10-12, I ordered a Medium. Not roomy enough to wear over a sweater. I am returning this one and have already ordered a Large. Too bad the same color was no longer available--got a cosmic blue.

This is definitely waterproof and wind-proof. I recently wore it on Pikes Peak on a very windy day, wind chill 6, with a sweatshirt. Rain does not penetrate. The hood works and is adjustable with the cinch cord. It works best as an outer layer with a long sleeve shirt or something thicker. This jacket does NOT work for me with short sleeves in warm, humid weather even if it is raining. It does not breathe and blocks perspiration from escaping. Therefore it is like a hothouse. But I do love it with layers because of it's other properties. It just not as versatile as I would like.

I just moved to the PNW so rain is a lifestyle now. This jacket works perfect for what I needed. It doesn't breathe so wearing it while exercising can get sweaty.

Love this jacket! The pink is a bold, bright, fun color and the jacket is a great fit. Very comfortable and versatile so not just wearing for rain.

I use it basically everyday besides sunny hot days. It's light weight and you can bring it anywhere. Great for when it's raining!

I use mostly when travelling to the city. Very light and easy to carry. I can only wish that
North Face would make jackets with a 2 way zipper

My women's venture jacket was perfect in color and I loved the natural white "the north face" sign, but it was too big, the sleeves were very long and the chest of the jacket was baggy, but overall it is a very nice and stylish jacket

Nice jacket overall but interior has a thick coating that feels "rubbery" against my skin.

I ordered this jacket for hiking. It is perfect in that it is lightweight, has a hood, and would pack easily in a day pack. I ordered a Medium which turned out to be a bit too loose on me,(I am usually a small, but thought the Medium was best according to size chart) but no fuss returns make this a simple fix. Awesome customer service and product!

This jacket was exactly what we were looking for in terms of weight as well as portability for travel. We needed it right away but could have used an extra small (ordered a small based on measurements and other NorthFace Jackets we have so this one seems to run a little large). Very well made, like all our NorthFace gear!

I looked long and hard for a jacket to check all my boxes and landed on this gem. I bought this for a recent camping trip to Maine and for hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire. I absolutely love the bright color- I plan to use for running as well (I need to be seen!) The jacket is easy to pack although I snagged the mesh pocket liners with the velcro on the first use :( Not a big deal, but a bit of a bummer with new gear. The pit zips are necessary as the jacket doesn't breathe very well, but that is typical of rain jackets. The jacket is a little heavier than the Marmot Precip (which was my second choice, but wasn't bright enough for me).

After 6 great years with my pale yellow rain coat, a TNF rep at their Seattle U-Village store mentioned I could seek a replacement under warranty as my jacket was shedding its lining. I did so and the process was quick - no more than 3 weeks for a new jacket. I opted for budding green and find the color to be lovely (though was disappointed that my first choice, another yellow, was more a highlighter yellow than the pale one pictured on the website). The fit has changed in 6 years though - I previously had a size large and it was very roomy. I selected a side large again and it is very slim fitting without much extra room. It's unfortunate to feel like I need to size up despite staying the same size overall for the past 6 years.

The jacket is very light weight and easy to travel with as it's packable and advertised that way as well. One negative thing about is that it makes a lot of noise.

I love how this rain jacket fits, and how easy it is to carry around. I was a bit disappointed in the difference in color online and in person. It looks like a much softer yellow online.

I am really happy with this jacket which is incredibly light and compact! The only con is that the sleeves are way too long; when you wear XS jackets you expect the sleeves to be shorter than usual, but it isn't the case. I have to roll them up and it's not really nice.
