Pretty much my go to pants for sport climbing, particularly when it isn't exactly sport climbing season (hot/humid). Extremely abrasion resistant despite being a soft material, and wick heat better than most other pants.

My Wife and I bought a pair of these before traveling to Moab in October. I was amazed at how versatile they are. They worked perfectly for hiking in the desert but also great for hiking the mountains in Glacier National Park. I would definitely recommend getting a pair or two.

I use these for my early morning commute on my bicycle. They are not to baggy and the leg draw string keeps the compression around my ankle to prevent it from getting into the chain when I ride. Also they are easy to pack when it's warm when I ride home after the work day. I loved them so much that I went and bought the mixed weather pair so when it gets even colder outside. I have yet to try those because it hasn't gotten below 40 degrees.

Great hiking pant. Trim athletic fit does not restrict mobility. Best for cool days. Weather resistant. Comfortable enough for every day casual use.

I was looking for pants I could wear through every season and these turned out to be the ones. The fit is perfect and I can layer them how I want, thanks to the breathability. The integrated belt is also pure genius; give the one who engineered it an ample raise! Weather resistance is very adequate for my needs and they seem highly durable although being so lightweight. All in all I just can't recommend these enough!

I have used these pants for 6 months now and they are by far my favourite pants. Just as good for wearing inside the house as outdoor. When I first got them I was worried that they were a bit fragile, since then I have dragged them through bushwacking, skiing and abrasion against rocks and mountainsides with great success. I think for active use they have a limit of 16 celsius before they get too hot, under this I think they are perfect for anything except really high output activities. Earlier this year, I went cross-country skiing with a thin merino base layer and this as my outer layer in -5C and moderate wind. It cut the wind perfectly, kept me dry and did not limit my range of mobility at all.

Excellent x-country pant, used for hiking, camping and any cool or cold weather sport. The zip pockets are easily accessible, especially the side leg pocket for the iPhone plus.

Great pants. I have 2 pants S and XS. The pants is a bit long but if you use it for hiking or ice climbing it the right length. For gym / rock climbing use it can be a bit long but you can tighten the strap. For fall / winter it this pants performed flawlessly i am curious to see how breathable it will be during summer.

I own the LeFroy pants and for Fall / Winter season I wanted something with a little more weight to them, so I purchased a pair of the Gamma LT. I love these pants too, and have worn them to the office, out and about, and hiking as intended. They have a bit more stretch it seems than the LeFroy, and a bit of a slimmer fit to them which I like. They are incredibly durable and super easy to clean just about anything off of with the DWR finish. The DWR finish is great for the misty and light rains here of the PNW, shedding the rain drops, but don't be fooled, they're water resistant, not water proof, in a down pour they'll wet out and you'll be drenched. Be sure to have your Water Proof layer to put on over these in the event your in a down pour. That being said, they do dry out very quickly. My only gripe is the price, since this fabric in Nylon and Elastane, (not the most expensive materials in the world to create) but I cough up the cash due to the quality and the best fitting pant of any other outdoor equipment manufacturer. In fact I've just purchased a second pair. Also BIG THANKS to Arcteryx for making an XS in pants for those who are slim and lean.

Okay let me start by saying I picked these up at an Arc'teryx outlet so I scored big time. The pants are a very nice durable soft shell fabric, hasn't faded at all, and I wear them 2-3 times a week at a minimum. They have a good amount of storage to carry all of your EDC, no back pockets which to some may be a con but I think it's great especially when using them for they're intended use and zipper pockets keep it all secure, especially nice when climbing! The water repellent fabric has saved my butt on multiple occasions, and when they do get wet, they dry very quickly. I use them all 4 seasons laying is the key to success. I intend on buying a pair in black and khaki if they ever come out with it. I love these pants, perfect for any adventure, can't go wrong

Perfect pants--really. My third pair. Wear them outside in spring through fall. In winter, enjoy them inside. Soft, comfortable fabric. You don't want to take them off.

These Gamma LT are my outside pajamas but you will be able to fool everyone into thinking they are actually light wind/rain pants.
I bought my first pair in September this year(2019) and I since then bought 4 more pairs. they are and will be all that I will wear from April to October where I live in Squamish BC.
these pants are amazing and true to fit. they can be used as a daily wear or actually go to work on a hiking trail and even while taking a dive on a mountain bike. I used to baby my Arc'teryx given how much they cost but after a few tumble I can see they are surprisingly more resistant than expected.
I don't usually like the ankle string adjustment on all Arc'teryx pants of all class for one reason or another but in the case of the Gamma LT it is perfect. you can have no fear or ordering even if the advertised inseam is longer than what you normally wear. these will adjust and look good and won't entrap or trip you. Great "Go to" pants. get yourselves a few pairs you won't regret it.

Very good fitting pants, on the light side. Perfect for high output in winter or the other 3 seasons. Closure of the pants is much better than other pants I own. The integrated belt is also much better than other models I own, certainly while backpacking. For winter I look to buy the gamma AR. I'm very happy with the pants

The pants are useful across a wide area of application from urban to climbing being lightweight and thin enough to layer under a shell when necessary. It's a system integration design as such and not by accident.

i have 2 pairs of the Gamma AR pants that i've had for about 5 years in total. at 6 5 about 215, the large longs fit me perfectly, almost slightly long even and i have a 37 inch inseam. the AR's are great but a bit warm under some circumstances. i wanted to compliment those and considered all the Arcteryx options before deciding to go with the LT's. they are still reasonably warm and offer great wind protection but hold less heat and are better for cool even cold weather mountain biking (knee pads fit well under the stretchy fabric) when you're output is high. they are substantially slimmer in the cut than the AR, which the website doesn't really mention and it's what i was looking for so i'm very pleased with the fit. i wear them to the gym as my go to cool weather work out pants (i hate urban gym clothing). the finishing details around the waist and cuffs are standard Arcteryx, which is to say, outstanding in function and comfort. very easy to doff and don, a pleasure to wear, look great, high performance. i'm a dead bird guy all day.
i've read about their durability, but if i'm to be honest (and why would you be reading if you couldn't get that here) i haven't tested them much in that regard. i hope they are as tough as i've read when that inevitable fall on the trail happens or years of regular use. only time will tell.

Have warn these pants for all variety of activities from heavy duty hiking to walking the dog to everyday pants to work, etc. and have worked perfectly in every situation. Nice deep pockets along with a horizontal zipper pocket on the front right thigh that is no too noticeable. These are my favorite all around go to pants for almost any occasion and would highly recommend them.

Have had a few other light weight soft shell pants but these surpass them all! Just as light weight as any other, even more comfortable and much stronger. Have ripped my pants on ice axes before but after days of hiking in tough landscape, dragging gear on hard ice or sitting around at home, they still look like new :) Best pair of pants I have even compared to my all other.

I bought these for hiking in cool to warm weather, but I like them so much that I now use them for casual wear and wearing to work also.
I really like everything about them: the fit, the stretchy comfort, the functionality of the pockets, the temperature regulation, and the elegantly 'sporty' appearance.
Overall, these are now my favorite pants, and I can highly recommend them for a variety of uses.

The Gamma LT Pant will help you take your outdoor excursions to the next level of enlightenment. By virtue of comfort and functionality, you buy into perceived value - one of my big qualifiers when selecting an Arc'Teryx product. The Gamma LT Pant fulfills this role by giving the wearer options in where they intend to use.
When wearing the Gamma LT Pant, I was in 15C weather with high winds and sporadic rainfall. Though air permeable, I didn't find that the wind was blowing through the pant too much. More so, while there was wind penetration, I wasn't left feeling as if my legs were freezing or even hinting at being uncomfortable. Heat retention was a-ok. Zero sweating.
Adding a bit of rain to the mix and the DWR coating worked as expected. Keep in mind that there are differing degrees of DWR coating and since these are simply a hiking pant void of Gore-Tex, through personal experience I don't expect the DWR coating to last too long before having to reapply. So, during testing, a light rain was not an issue (I also washed the pant before hand). After a few washing cycles, I expect the fabric to begin absorbing moisture and a treatment will be needed. A bit of a side point, but something to keep in mind: When you see "DWR" you're potentially signing up for the maintenance of the DWR for that garment once you buy it.
The Gamma LT Pant is so comfortable and the brushed waist line is a nice touch. These are a straight leg, crotch-gusseted pant with the goal to reduce restriction of movement. During hiking, I did not feel like I was fighting the pant to walk, or that the fabric was too stiff or that the legs were too tight. Everything seems to work well together. Also the belt works great, never loosens and is easy to use. Additionally, the front zipper is easy to use, and I have yet to discover it has worked itself down on its own (like some Arc'Teryx pants have done in the past; i.e. customer complaints).
The fabric is abrasion-resistant and strong for intended use. Consider that term. The fabric is not rip or tear proof or indestructible. Take that for what its worth. All things considered, the fabric will eventually snag if you are hiking around anything pointy or with a high Rockwell. It's just going to happen, period.
In summary, the Gamma LT Pant wears well, is comfortable and moves with you. The DWR coating is just enough to stay dry during a light rain fall and wind protection is above standard. I would recommend this pant for those of you looking for a Fall/Spring hiking pant.
