I bought these before (in a size larger...yay me!). But, whereas the last pair I purchased were a nice muted green. These were more Khaki than anything. I was expecting that pleasant green and got something remnant of fatigues.

"Clay" in print and photo is actually a yellow beige or khaki.

So disappointing!! NYDJ has changed the way Marilyns fit! These are NOT straight leg jeans! They have a flare leg, almost a bell bottom! And they were HUGE! I ordered an 8 - my regular size, and they nearly fell off.
Compared to my old Marilyns the waist is 2" bigger, the rise is 1" shorter, the leg opening is 2" wider as well!
In addition the quality of the "denim" is flimsy

I feel if they were made of rubber and they stretch like rubber, too long, too big. NYDJ Company does not make anymore pants as it used to. Returned.

I have several pairs of NYDJ jeans that I love. I just ordered the Oak Hill color
because I'm finding that the jeans that have the higher cotton content (91%) fit better and don't end up with saggy lines along the hip and thigh (and no my jeans aren't tight!)
These do not have the "heft" of my other NYDJ jeans, the fabric is like jeggings - even though they have the same fabric content. The leg opening is 1/2" wider than previous Marilyns - so they look like bootcut NOT straight!
I also noted while comparing the new jeans with my old ones that the new ones are NOT made in the USA.
They are going back.

The legs were too tight (they fit more like my daughter's jeans) and I returned them.

These black jeans used to be available in 96% cotton and 4% spandex. I have two pairs which are becoming faded. I noticed that many NYDJ jeans no longer have that fabric ratio of cotton to spandex so I was pessimistic that these would be the same. Despite the fact that the web site lists these as 96/4, I did a live chat to verify the fabric content. The representative assured me that these jeans were still 96% cotton and 4% spandex. But when I received them, they were NOT as described. They are 98% cotton and 2% spandex, making them tighter and not as stretchy, so less comfortable. Boo!!!
