I purchased these jeans after doing much research on this site. I had some NYDJ jeans that I loved and some not so much, all the Marilyn cut. What I discovered is the fit is not consistent between fabric content. It seems I prefer the fabric with the least amount of stretch (spandex and such). I have found that the pants with the least amount of stretch seem to hold the waist band size the best and do not stretch out requiring me to wear a belt to keep them from falling down. They also keep their shape better. I have not washed them yet but assume they will hold up great.

I bought the silver grey pair to replace grey pants I purchased years ago. These fit great, feel great on, and wash beautifully. The only con is the spandex tends to make the pants ride down a bit.

I love the great fit, the Jeans make you look a size smaller.

I love how The Marilyn cut fits! I buy them because of the comfort and long leg length.

These jeans fit comfortably especially because the wait is not low. They are flattering on my pear shape body and I've gotten a couple of compliments. As a bonus, I washed them several times and they still look new.

The size and fit are good, just didn't like the color of the denim on.

Fit true to size -- wish they would make jeans with a thicker material and a tiny bit less stretch-out over the day, but these are comfortable and a nice, conservative wash.

These jeans fit nicely and the fabric is stretchy and comfortable. I bought 2 pair. The first pair fit a little better. The second pair had a really high waist, so, be sure to try them on before you wash them. They are also way too long for my average height.

The legs and length were perfect but the waist was to large.. The material gave to much. I bought a 16 but need to order a 14.

I normally wear a size 6 in all of the jeans but I had to return the 6 and order a size 4 which fits really well. Really do like them a lot

The Marilyn Straight really fit my body, however, they are sooo long! I always have to take several inches off the hem and I'm about 5'5". I wish they came in reg and long.

I really like the Marilyn Twill but it doesn't come in white. I ordered these. They are ok, but not nearly as nice as the Marilyn Twill...hint, hint!

I bought these size 12s. I'm 5'10" 155lbs straight as an arrow build. The size 10 would've been better, but because the were too roomy for me and crotch hung low will not go for a size 10. They are plenty long though! Wish they had these with a nonboot type, I like the skinny ankle better and in a tall.

I usually wear a size 6 and after reading other reviews I sized down to a 4. The size 4's are baggy in all the wrong places and, coupled with the strangely thick material, they totally looked like Mom-jeans on me. Unlike the photo, they are more like a boot cut (not straight as advertised). No way I could ever fit my knee boots or rain boots over them. The search continues for another brand of jeans.

NYDJ jeans size 8 always fit my narrow hips well but length is on the long side. This fabric is heavy but not bad, however, these black jeans attract lint like a magnet even after several washings, not attractive. Never had this problem before. Begrudgingly recommend the jeans, just keep several lint rollers on hand and a little one in your bag.

I don't have any NYDJ jeans that aren't a size 6, and the Marilyn is usually a good cut for me. This 6 is most especially big in the waist, but also just big all over - like a pair of trousers instead of jeans. I often get the tall inseam when possible, even if I have to hem them a little - I'd rather hem something than look like my pants are too short, so I'm unsure if a smaller size would work, but my usual size in these is too big. I do like the uniform color and the fabric.

I really like the fabric and fit of these jeans. Unfortunately, the pocket placement on the backside doesn't work for me though so I'm returning the jeans. The pockets are placed a bit too high on the jeans and barely cover the top of my derrire well - the result is that it makes my rump look long. that's not a good look. If the pockets say lower on the back of the pants, I'd keep them for sure.

Even though I have other NYDJ 4P and other Marilyn cuts that fit well, these did not. Waist was as before but legs and hips were too tight. I've ordered the 4 to try but it means I will need to spend $ to get them shortened which is a drag.

Unexpected disappointment. Not the usual fit that I am so use too.

I bought these before (in a size larger...yay me!). But, whereas the last pair I purchased were a nice muted green. These were more Khaki than anything. I was expecting that pleasant green and got something remnant of fatigues.
