I wear this style of show everyday. For work and play. I think it is a great shoe, but there is one very small design flaw that I wish New Ballance would address. The top of the heel when push your heal into the shoe tends roll down inside the shoe causing the material to bunch and put pressure on the back of your heal and tendon. As long as you are careful and pull out on the back of the shoe or use a shoehorn no problems.

I wear 857s while standing all day. This is at least my 7th pair. They provide good stability and support. However, they could use more cushioning.

Like the style, but these do for some reason run smaller in length than all my other new balance.

They are a little narrow for being a 6e but other than that they are comfortable. They fit better than an extra wide but could be a little wider being I have very wide feet

Good style for work out in your gym. Must date the inside of the shoe so you do not I have too long in between new shoes

I have been wearing the 857 for a number of years. It is a very comfortable. The reason I can not give it five stars is the eyelets. A couple years ago the shoe came with metal eyelets at the top. So when you pulled the laces tight they would not tear the shoe. The shoes made now do not come with any reinforcement. When you tie your shoe the laces will eventually break through the leather. I also wear the 928 and they have a reinforce eyelet. Hopefully New Balance will read my review and maybe do something about reinforcing the eyelets at the upper end.

Fit as well as construction of the shoe is top notch.

I like the shoe but it definitely runs a bit on the narrow side. I do not think they will stretch out much and the leather does not really have much "give". There was no problem with sending them back and I ordered them in wide width and they fit like they should. I wish my podiatrist would have told me that before I ordered - when I told him that I had to send them back, he said that they run narrow - so, consider this your buyer advice! Mine was a size 12. If you like them snug, order in your same width, but for my taste, way too snug and the wide was just right.

I really enjoy this shoe. This is the fourth time that I have purchased the same model.

So good to have a 6e width. Last pair had great wear longevity. Far better than the Brooks Beast. Only down side on this pair was one of the laces was partially melted through. It will break soon.

i have been buying new balence sneekers for 30 years because they fit and are well made in america, BUT any points you acquire shoud stay with yu until you are ready to use them not in 1 year

The shoe is the 3rd one I purchased except this time came with 2 different size shoelaces and they were short. Had to buy new ones 63 inches.

Anti-pronation is great, but not really wider than all myv4E NBs. They ARE a bit longer, so it's more like moving to 15 4E, rather than 14 RE. They are very well made.

these are terrific but the 1st pair was about 1/2 size too short. Second pair was long enough but then didn't really need a wide. Kept them anyway as I'd worn them a few times.

Very good sneaker but shoe laces are too short. I have had this shoe before and it wares out around the ankle.

Mine have lasted a long time. They are stiff, which I need, but heavy. Good support. They have lasted quite well.

I have the white pair in 14M and they've worn pretty well. They stiff, which I need but also a heavy shoe. I don't have any complaints bout New Balance senior management needs to pay attention to all the complaints about many models. Their quality and sizing has been way off from days past. Sadly I think their best days are behind them.

I picked this shoe because it had actual leather uppers and actual eyelets vice the cheap fabric loops. Loops fail after just a short time. Not sure I like these better that the 650's,but they will do for now. Big plus is that they are not Nikes. Although even the wide double E width is still running a bit narrow.

I use the shoe for all around purpose. I would like it better in a white leather.

I have been wearing 624s for years. These are very similar, but slightly snugger. They are new so I will see how much they stretch or relax over time.

They are a bit heavier than I thought they would be, but use them to work out.
