I am between a 7.5 and 8. These are quite small in the toe area. I initially bought 7.5 and they were way too tight. Returned for an 8.

The boots hit a nerve ending on my ankle. I could not adjust this and it happened each time I took a step. I returned them. They look cute but were not functional for me.

As so many returnees have stated, I really wanted to like this boot. Cute, versatile, and comfortable right out of the box. Not for me. There was a very hard crease across the toes, almost like I had left the cardboard form in, but I had taken it out. Such a bummer. I will keep looking. Obviously, the shoe works for many, so it's totally worth a try, especially since it's easy to return. Just don't get your hopes up too high in advance.

Love, love, love these booties! I had given up trying to find a boot to fit. I had tried tall boots, but have had problems finding ones that fit my big calves. Most booties I've tried, the angle for getting my wide foot into the boot, just did not work as most wides were not actually very wide. Or the booties would cut into my ankle. I got the Mushroom suede in a 9W. Nice beige-gray color. Heel height gives a little boost without being uncomfortably high. Gives you some strut. Very comfortable. Sole has good grip, not slick like others I have tried. Looks good with jeans or dress pants. I haven't gotten them wet, but they are supposed to be water-proof. The only (slight) negative is that the heel has got a slightly fuzzy texture to it, which, as other reviewers mention, can get scuffed off. If I had more discretionary shoe funds, I would definitely get more in other colors.

Amazing! The first time wearing them was in a torrential rainstorm in Boston. Trapesing through 2 " of water. They kept my feet dry and the faux suede looked perfect! Love them.

The black leather option is matte, and looks closer to a suede than traditional leather. There’s a tiny hint of shine on the toe, but nowhere else. The stacked heel also has some of this suede-like material on it, and I didn’t like that look. Although the shoe is extremely comfortable (though it runs narrow), the matte/suede look of the leather, to me, gave it more of a “winter boot” look and less of a stylist boot. If the black leather had some sheen to it like a typical leather boot, I would have kept it.

The shoe is very handsome. Unfortunately, the heel is higher than I expected and I don't wear heels anymore. I'm sorry I had to return it because it was exactly what I was looking for except for the heel. I finally bought another shoe which is perfect.

Very cute, nice leather. However very wide in the heel and ankle, and my feet and ankles usually run wide! I was stepping out of them even without socks. Much wider than the Valli bootie which fit true to size

This is a really cute, nice quality bootie. Zappos was out of my regular size 10 in the butterscotch, which was the color I wanted, so I ordered the 91/2 which in some brands is fine. Alas, the right foot was a little too tight in the width of the toes and I had to send them back. I might try again if the right size is availabe.

This is the second pair of these boots I've purchased, my daughter having "stolen" my first pair to take to college in a rainy city. They're super comfortable and for me didn't require any significant break-in period. I love that they're waterproof, but haven't had the chance to fully test out that feature yet myself. I appreciate that they come in a wide width as well, although I think the regular width would work for most. I also like that they are just a bit narrower around the ankle. I'd like to wear booties more often with skirts and dresses, but can't get over the fact that I usually look like I'm standing in little buckets. These aren't as bad for that. They aren't cutting-edge stylish, but I think that makes them more versatile. I can pair them with jeans, tights and skirts, dresses, dress pants for work. They go with practically everything. Considering getting another color.

These boots are comfortable from the start. The heel is a nice height for comfort and looks great with jeans. They do not require any time to break in. I wear them with low cut socks but they will be great in the winter with a higher calf sock as well. The opening around the ankle is not too loose or too stiff, just enough give when walking. I purchased multiple colors to find the right style I was looking for. I ended up liking the Mushroom color the best. The black suede was not dressy enough for my liking with business attire and the taupe was too dark. The mushroom will go with anything in your spring/fall/or winter wardrobe.

Beautiful boot but was a bit too heavy and heel a tad too high for me to wear for extended periods of time as have back issues. I normally wear a size 11W but decided to order up one whole size to 12W and I'm glad that I did. The size felt like my 11W, so make sure to order up. I wish that I could wear them but unfortunately cannot. Good value.

I really wanted to like these because they are waterproof but they felt really long, large on my instep and tight in the toe so they are going back. Bummer. They kinda smelled funny too (but not enough to make that the reason for the return)

I ordered these boots because of the style, but love that they are waterproof. I normally wear 7.5 in boots to accommodate my orthotics, but the 7 is perfect. They were comfortable to wear right out of the box without breaking them in. I accidentally ordered the wrong style, and size, so I called customer service, and explained my problem. She took my order for the correct style and size and I sent the first pair back the next day. Returns and exchanges are as easy as the purchase. Thank you Zappos!!

Narrow and pointy. I was so disappointed because I wanted a low heel in this style. The quality is good and the shoes are waterproof. Perfect, right? Wrong! I bought the wide shoes and they fit like a regular. Also, the toe is meant to be pointy anyway so it already looks cheesy. A size up would look like a clown shoe. Why do they even make pointy shoes (or pointy bras)?

I purchased cognac nubuck in size 8.5. I tried my normal size of 9 and it was too large. 8.5 fits me well. The shaft of the boot rubs on my skin right above my heel, and the first time I wore them, they did scrape off some skin and hurt. I do think they will soften a bit as I wear them more. They are beautiful boots and my first time wearing them I wore them during a rainstorm because I knew they were waterproof. They performed great! My feet stayed dry and the boots did not stain at all. In all, I wish the shaft didn't rub on my skin, but I am going to give these boots a chance because I love them otherwise. They are comfortable for my long walk to work, and they will be a great fall and spring boot. I like that the shaft is narrow and that there are no decorative features to the boot. I was looking for Sam Edelman ankle boots and ended up getting these instead because I did not want suede.

Hard to say how they felt on as I could barely get my feet into them. Maybe if you went up a size.

looked good, but did not fit. Also gave off strong odor like industrial glue.

I bought these in the mushroom suede and, no joke, wore them into the ground. I bought these two years ago as fall was coming, and for two years from fall to spring I wore these babies daily as commuting shoes, and even most weekends. These things were so comfortable even after miles-long walks. The style was so versatile for most of my wardrobe, and the mushroom-taupe color goes with both warm and cool colors. Best of all, when they say waterproof they aren't joking - even the suede ones hold up like rain boots! I wore these so often for such long walks that I wore a hole straight through both soles this year! Needless to say I'll be buying two more pairs this fall, so I can alternate them and at least try to save them some wear, but let me tell you, it will be tough!

Great looking booties! Can’t wait to wear them on my upcoming trip to Europe

I ordered 8 M. I usually wear a 7.5 N, and 8 N on rare occasion, for dress shoes only, and 8 in boots and sneakers because I add in my orthodic for my low arches. However, there's no way to tighten up the area on top of the foot or toe area, and my foot was still too narrow for this roomy boot even with the addition of my orthodic and socks. Someone with a bigger or "fatter" foot would do well this this. It felt true to size or slightly roomier. I was just hoping the orthodic would help take up some space so the bootie would fit my narrow foot. These are going back.

Have been looking for the perfect classy boot to wear for an upcoming European trip. Must have tried 10 pair and finally found these. Comfortable from the moment you slip them on - I have narrow feet and they fit great. Perfect heel height for lots of walking - and love that they're supposed to be waterproof. (I'll be able to test that on the trip.) Bought two colors: black and dark grey suede - couldn't decide so got them both.

These looked like good quality construction, but didn't fit. I ordered my usual 9 wide - the length was fine but these were much too narrow. The toe was a bit more pointy than I imagined from the picture - I had a more rounded toe in mind.

Loved the look of them but didn't have much arch support and the heel was higher than expected.
