Zappos' exclusive green/orange combo is awesome. The lighter green fabric has a bit of a sheen to it that actually makes these shoes go well with both jeans and khakis. For me the big bonus, though, was the extra pair of laces in the same orange on the shoe. Apparently all shoes of this model include a spare set of laces in the accent color, so that could make a sweet purchase better for you. The tread is very minimal so don't expect to use these on slippery surfaces, and the interior support (arch, ankle) is pretty loose and light. As with all the other Asics I've tried, these shoes' insoles are glued in, so it's a pain if you want to yank those out and put in your own.

Great shoe. I've gotten many different colors. Moderate support, true sizing, and looks great. But I do have my complaints: every different color almost comes with a different material. Some are more breathable and a type of mesh, while others are thicker and less breathable. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but it's frustrating learning this upon receiving the shoes (because it looks great on the pictures on this site). Overall, I'm happy with the shoe. A little pricey for something that last me usually ~8-10 months. Shipping, as usual, was ridiculously fast!

Shoes look great. They're really light weight and thin though, not much insulation. It has somewhat of a high arch support but the rest of the sole is flat so they're not very comfortable. Overall great looking shoe, just not the most comfortable.

I had a pair that was the same design about 12 years ago, I was stoked to find another pair. What you can't see in the picture is that the light green part, which is usually nylon, is almost like a denim material. It's not a deal breaker but I don't think I'll wear them nearly as often as I thought I would.

These looked like their picture and fit how I expected. My big toe reaches the front of the shoe but if they are anything like my old Asics they will soften up with a little wear.

These shoes are pretty great! They look great and stick to any surface as long as they stay dry. They are super light and fit snug on your feet. I only wish they had more insole cushion for those hard landings.

Normally I love the Ultimate 81s. This particular pair (black/coal) is lacking in the arch support my other pair has. They are still comfortable but not for long use.

I was looking for a replacement for my Saucony Bullets, which are my favorite shoes but they let water in easily, even just from walking on a wet surface. So based on style and people's reviews, I went with these Asics. The shoes have a thicker sole, better arch support, and more interior cushioning than my Saucony Bullets. It's not better or worse, just different. At first I ordered a 9.5M and that ended up being too large. I went down a full size to an 8.5 which seemed to be the correct size except that there wasn't enough height in the toe area. So then I went to a 9. It gave more room to my toes but I felt like my heel was slightly rubbing/popping out. It wasn't enough to make me return them yet again though. Maybe I should've stuck it out with the 8.5 and broke them in more? Not sure. Still a comfortable and stylish shoe though and I can walk outside after it had just rained without fear of getting my socks wet.

Really nice looking. It's comfortable enough for a casual shoe but not a running shoe. Also comes with orange laces to match the stripe on the bottom. The material holds dirt more than a regular leather type shoe but like I said I only use for casual wear so it's not an issue.

I wore these during several days of a trip during which I was on my feet all day, & my feet stayed perfectly comfortable. No blisters, no pressure points, nothing. I wish the toe box wasn't as broad as it is (from the top, the shoes somehow look larger than they should), but they're a great option for a casual shoe that doesn't scream "athletic shoe" but offers the kind of all-day comfort you expect from an athletic shoe. They're super lightweight, too.

This is a great sneaker. It's comfortable and the arch support is great. I'm on my feet all day and by the end of the day my feet still feel good (and by back does too)!

Sweet sneaks. I go between 7 and 8 depending on the shoe. 7.5 is perfect for a casual fit shoe. Be careful about mud, though.

Excellent color combo - very pleased. The stripe looks white on my screen, but it's actually grey - which I think is much better. The only downside is that the heel sometimes digs in, but I know that will be less and less with wear.

Just what I was looking for! I wanted a retro sneaker that I could wear with skinny jeans and these are perfect. They are light-weight and don't offer much support, but I don't wear them for running, just around town. The sole is very quiet.

Fits accurately. Looks cool. Comfortable for small amounts of time. Not comfortable if you are on you feet all day.

Very happy with the purchase. The heel leather was slightly uncomfortable before the shoes were broken in. Didn't take much to break them in.

I finally wore out my first pair of Ultimate 81's after a year and a half and needed a new pair. I love the color choices and look of these shoes. These shoes are not all that great for long days on your feet and walking, but for around town or in the office I find them to be a great casual style.

Digging the leaf green color. I have a 7.5 length foot but my foot is wide so I got the 8. Overall the construction and style are great. You also get an extra pair of laces, in my case orange to go along with the white. The only thing is that the toe box is fairly tight. Not uncomfortable but I notice it. I'm hoping that over time it loosens up.

I like the shoes. They look good and are fairly comfortable. Try not to get caught in the rain with them, they are far more water absorbent than say, Adidas Sambas. Also, for people who walk a lot (I live in New York City) the soles wear down pretty quickly, in much less than a year and again, more quickly than Sambas.

Great-looking shoe but runs a half size small. I bought these for a friend in a men's size 10.5. He hasn't made any complaints about the size but he bought me the same shoe in the same color (Leaf/Green/White) in a women's size 7 and I feel that these run a bit small. I'm usually a 7 but I guess this is one of the few exceptions where a size 7.5 would have been better. Overall, I REALLY like this low-profile shoe. I just wish I would have told my friend to order my pair half a size up.

After playing 5 years of roller derby, my feet have taken a serious beating. What was really great about these shoes was the incredible heel support, which really eased heel pain that I had been having previously. Great overall foot support and super comfortable. I have the black and gold, and the gold is less bright than pictured. Love these shoes, highly recommend for the (currently discounted) price.

I really like these shoes. I have had them for six months, and they are comfortable and the structure of the shoes is holding up well. The only negative is that they are pretty hard to keep clean, as they have a lot of mesh.

Great style. Very lightweight. Classic with modern fit. It goes well with denim. I noticed it's extremely quiet walking it on hardwood or pavement. Only issue is that it slips easily on wet surfaces. Other than that, great buy.

These shoes are okay. Nice looking, but with questionable quality. Comfortable for indoor wear, but not resistant to rain or snow in the least. First pair was sent back after only four wears due to the toe-area rubber sole peeling away from the shoe. Zappos was great about getting me a new pair with no difficulty whatsoever.

Light, comfortable and low-profile. I think they look good. Plenty of colors for all. I have blue, gray, and black! A little squeaky on shiny floors when new, but that goes away after a while. I use them for casual/school wear. They are not flimsy, but I wouldn't run a marathon in them either! Just low impact, stylish kicking around town shoes. I like em, and if it matters to you, no or very few in animal products used in much of this line.
