I'm on my fifth pair of Ultimate 81s. My only complaint about this comfortable and stylish sneaker that goes with nearly everything in my wardrobe (and why this is not five stars): the soles wear out quick because they are so thin. But maybe that's because I wear them so much? Either way, great buy.

Feel a little wide compared to other similar shoes. Had Saucony before... I may go back. I use these at work in an office, but walk 1~2 mile per day just in the office going from meeting to meeting, etc.

Not bad for a city shoe. I'm used to shoes that give more support width wise. These feel slightly rounded on the edges of the shoes, probably characteristic of these more narrow shoe styles. Surprising amount of arch support, I thought it'd be close to flat. 4/5 overall! Felt true to width, despite feeling 'narrow' in terms of support. Felt true to size. Moderate arch support.

I bought of pair of these in Black/Birch from Zappos back in early 2011. This pair of Asics Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81 that I own are going on five years old now and are still in great shape! Very comfortable, even when having to stand on your feet most of the day. I have had trouble with other sneakers hurting my feet and arches. I am just too old now to wear some of the brands I liked when I was younger. It's even harder to find shoes that are comfortable and last a long time when you want vegan ones. I chose these Asics because they are running shoes & because they (MOST) are vegan. True to fit & I like the style of them. I have large feet for a girl & they don't make me look like I am wearing clown shoes. These don't look worn even after nearly five years of wear. The hemp Adidas I owned before I bought this pair, were blown out with huge holes on the sides after wearing them about the same length of time. While the breathable mesh is nice, it does suck when it's cold out. You get a breeze through your shoe. Other than not being the best footwear for winter, the only other downside is that these have a very soft toe and are not the best for work. If you drop a box on your foot or kick something, you're going to feel it. I was used to the hard toe on Adidas Superstars, but went with these because I had a hard time finding any vegan Adidas that I liked for a long time. Overall, a highly recommended shoe!

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. First of all, they were purchased for front/back yard work hence demands were not high. Overall, good craftsmanship but had to replace one pair cause glue was sticking out of soil. Not very convenient for long walks due to a bit strange arch support but that s may be me the only one brand that always works for me is Ecco. The rest is so-so. The bottom line is to test them before buying.

Love the style and a great fit for a narrower foot. However, the sole has some weird texture that made squeaky noises on my hardwood floors when I walked. I didn't try these outside, but I can't live with that noise if it happens inside on hard surfaces.

These are very stylish and comfortable shoes. I was pleasantly surprised that it included extra pairs of white and gray laces as well.

If you normally wear a 6.5, buy a 7. They fit too tight on me so I've had to do a few things to try and stretch them out. I'm not sure why they aren't true to size, but other than that these are awesome. Also, you can't go sockless with these or your feet will become very uncomfortable!

Overall fit of this show is what I have come to expect from Asics. I ordered up a full size as I do normally and the show fits perfectly. Be warned that if you like a little padding on the sole of your shoe, this isn't the show for you. The heel is OK, but forefoot padding is non-existent. I will probably be shopping for another shoe and save these for those times when walking is not on the agenda.

The Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81s are truly remarkable shoes. I love the colour and styling of this particular shoe, that can be worn with almost anything in a casual setting. Its very comfortable right out of the box and needs to break in. I used it for a short run, not the best in arch support and cant be compared to other running shoes, but for shorter runs on treadmills, it looks like a smart choice. Great buy and highly recommended!

I really like these but I am having to exchange them because I followed someone's advice who said they run a half size too large. Trust me, they do not!

These shoes look pretty good and are comfortable enough to walk around in all day. If anything i wish they had a bit more of a point at the front but other than that i would definitely recommend them!

A fine shoe, comfortable and fits well. My foot feels well-supported. One drawback: I use Superfeet in my shoes and these work best with an insole that can be removed, which it cannot for this shoe.

Shoes fit well. Bought then to use walking in Europe. Not that comfortable for 5-6 miles a day, but fine for minimal walking. No support, thin soles, especially for cobblestones!

These are great sneakers and my husband has two other pairs of these; however, he wanted the exclusive white/black ones and the suede was actually BEIGE. He has an older pair of these in the white combo that he was wanting to replace and the suede on his dirty older pair was actually whiter than the ones that were just shipped. The suede is supposed to be an off white as, of course, it will never be the super bright white as the rest of the shoe, but the suede accents were no where near the color white and they were distinctly beige and much darker than what is shown in the picture.

Fashionably, these are great. However, they aren't the most comfortable. I wouldn't want to do a ton of walking or standing in them.

Great looking and comfortable shoes. They were said to have moderate arch support, but the area where the support actually is, is very small. Being as I do have high arches, my entire foot still rolls inward when I step but I can feel the arch support trying to work on a very small portion of the middle of my arch. It just isn't enough to stop it. They do look fantastic and I simply didn't want to go through the returns process to get a different pair. They are extremely comfortable otherwise. If you have very high arches I would recommend some insoles, if you have moderate arches you will absolutely love this shoe.

Pretty quality sneaker. This was actually my second pair I liked them so much. First pair took about a year a a half to get holes in it. The soles go kinda quick but they still grip ok and are very comfortable.

This is a pretty good shoe. I'd been looking for something with good arch support, and this definitely works for me. The high arch in the shoe was shocking and pretty uncomfortable the first time I put them on, but I quickly adjusted and now hardly notice it. I wouldn't call these shoes "cushy," but they are comfortable for walking and can be worn for long periods of time.

I was looking for a more minimalist shoe that I can use for my daily errands and this works well. It has about a 17 mm rise at the heel. It's a nice casual shoe, good style (goes well with most clothes), a good change from wearing running shoes around town and looking like a bum. I find that the heel is not super cushiony when I walk, but that may just be my form (I'm still working on correcting my form so that I don't heel-strike too much). I've had these shoes for about 2 months as of writing this.

I like the look and the fit. The weird thing was, the shoes squeaked when I was walking on hard floors. I think it is the way the treads are made. They are going back. And if I had read a review that said the shoes squeaked, I'd think that person is crazy, but even my kids were laughing at the noise I made when I walked around the house in them.

A really cute, retro sneaker. Great color combo. 9.5 women's is my size and these felt a half size too small. Returning them for a larger size. Opened them at Christmas to rave reviews from the whole family, including the teenagers.

These are great looking shoes, but the insoles have to be torn out and replaced when bought and the stitching around the inside heel can be defective, making them terribly uncomfortable. Some pairs come perfect, some messed up. Just exchange if you get a bad pair.

I bought these because I loved the color combo and Asics are great for my high arches. I'm not sure what fitness activity these are designed for, but they suit me just fine for everyday wear. They look cute with skirts! The toe box has plenty of room as well.

I love the look and feel of these shoes. Perfect for day-to-day activities. I would definitely recommend Onitsuka Tigers.
