Great shoes, cute, stylish! I wear a 7 in sandals, 7 1/2 in closed shoes. I actually like the 7 better in this style, but I had to return because the heel is really low, and I need something a little higher.

I wear custom-made orthotics, so I pulled out the footbed, so I can't review the arch support. They are comfortable and good looking and have excellent traction in wet weather.

I am very pleased with this shoe boot. They are very comfortable and look great with my skinny jeans and slim cut jeans. They perhaps could have a little extra padding on the sole of the foot but if I decide that I want that, I can easily buy a thin sponge Dr. Scholl's liner. I would recommend this shoe!

I love the style and design of these Hush Puppy booties - they are exactly what I was looking for! I am having some challenges with fit, though, because of the shape of my foot (isn't that always the case?) I have "duck" or "spatula" shaped feet with short, fat little toes (my husband says I have "cute little square feet"), which means that I need a very roomy, boxy toe box. I originally ordered a 7 1/2 Wide (a half size larger than normal, due to some of the other reviews), which turned out to be TOO big (especially in the heel area). I exchanged them for a 7 Wide (thank you, Zappos, for making exchanges and returns so easy!). While the length now feels right, the heel is still too wide, which is really not that surprising, since my foot is wide in the toe area, but not in the heel. They weren't in stock in a regular width, and I was afraid that that might not have given me the toe room I need, anyway. I thought about just returning them, but I really, really like the shoe - so much so that I have decided that it's worth taking to a cobbler to have them fitted with heel pads - or whatever else they need to make the heel area fit properly. Some reviewers complained about only the outside zipper being operational. And while, yes, it seems like having the inside zipper be the functional one (or both!), the outside zipper really isn't a problem. I just put my foot down flat on the floor, and then it's easy to reach the zipper. Oh, and by the way, some other reviewers had commented on a "sticky" substance on the sides where the sole meets the shoe. The first pair did not have the sticky stuff, but the second pair did. I just rubbed it with my finger all around and they now seem perfectly fine. These booties seem as if they will be very comfortable (nice leather, roomy toe box, cushy insole) but since I have not worn them out and about yet, I went with a "4" until I am able to really test drive them.
