I wanted to love these boots. They are comfortable, although somewhat wide, but I need a wider toe box to accommodate my bunion. These boots are the same width from front to back but should be countoured a little more for a woman's foot, but I was willing to put up with that. They have good adjustability with the toggle drawstring system. It was important to me that there be no heel-to-toe drop and no toecurl, and these filled that requirement completely.I do not need arch support and thankfully there was none built in. So much to like about these boots! Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that they are actually not that warm. Please don't believe a minus 32 degree rating because it is just not true. I wear my boots in NY winters primarily for birdwatching, which can entail standing stationary in the snow for anywhere from 5-30 minutes.The soles of these boots seem to absorb the cold so that my feet, while not actually cold, were chilled and remained that way even after getting back in the car and getting warmed up. My Columbia Minx Mid 2 Omni-Heat, which I purchased from Zappos several years ago, are not as highly rated but are much warmer.These Baffins are being returned but I like the features well enough to try a style from Baffin's "Winter Expedition" series, hoping for many of the same features but a warmer boot.

I tried 5 pairs of winter boots before finding these and I LOVE them. I have a major problem in snow where my feet go numb almost immediately, but with these I was outside in snow for an hour and my toes were not even a bit cold after. They are perfect for taking my kids sledding, and I feel like I could walk directly through a foot of snow and be just fine. So glad to have found these boots. I think they look stylish too.. kind of like an snowboard boot in the style.

I wanted to like these boots so much. So cute and warm and easy on/off. I added my own arch support, which helped make the mile round trip to walk my son to school better. But the long, flat walks along the lake: bad move to wear these boots. First time I've lost a toe nail from all the jamming into the front of a shoe. Even though I'll take "user error" on that one, the inside lining has ripped after just one season. I'm online at Zappos to shop for another boot--hopefully one that isn't just a one-winter-wonder.

I love this Baffin boot! I previously bought the Baffin Madeleine which is now 7 years old. It still works but is taller than what I need. This style is perfect: fit is perfect, comfort is perfect and the top can be closed to prevent snow from sneaking inside. Thanks so much for making it available. I normally wear a 10 1/2 wide but the size 11 B fits perfectly.

I really like these boots, overall. They feel like the equivalent to flip flops for winter—easy on, easy off. They are incredibly light weight & packable & warm for midwest winter—albeit not as cold this year as it can sometimes get. They don't have as much support as I would like. I inserted arch supports & I haven't yet found the perfect fit for the boots so they still feel awkward for long walks. One of the buckles has broken off after just a few months of ownership. For now, four stars. In time, maybe I'll find it is really 5.

I have a wide foot with a high instep, so I have a difficult time finding pull-on boots that work for me. These are perfect! They are very comfortable and almost feel like wearing cosy slippers. I think they will be very warm, too. My only problem is that I have a high arch and need more support. My solution was to remove the footbed and replace it with a perfect one from Naot. Great boots!

I bought these when we got a new puppy and I knew I’d need boots that were easy to get on and off and good for any conditions during our zillions of potty trips. Pro’s of these boots- comfortable, easy on and off, my sister complimented the style. I do like how lightweight they are (I prefer minimalist/barefoot styles.) I wear them with socks for long walks or bad weather, but they are fine without socks for quick dog breaks. The tread is good on ice and mixed sidewalk conditions. Con’s of these boots- the insole sometimes comes loose when you take the shoe off, then you have to fix it before you can wear them again. I almost want to glue it in but I guess that is intentional design so you can dry them... because these boots do get a little damp. They are totally fine out in the snow, but when the boots melt off in the corner after the walk, the material isn’t waterproof (only snow resistant). So they probably wouldn’t be good for slushy/muddy conditions- but below freezing they are great out there. I need to try some kind of waterproofing spray on them.

These do run small, as stated by previous reviewers. I needed almost a full size up. I have narrow feet and calves, and my heels slipped a lot with each attempt to walk. Medium-weight socks didn’t help much, and thicker socks made the boot too tight toe-to-heel. I appreciate that the boot is styled to allow custom tightening throughout the calf. I had to tighten so much that the extra cord needed to be wrapped around twice and tucked in. They have zero arch support. They are extremely lightweight, which is a benefit. If these were about $100 less, I would have added insoles and lived with them. I quickly made the choice to return them and continue searching.

These boots are absolutely beautiful and style is spot on! Extremely disappointed in the fit. They run small! I’m an 8.5-9 in every shoe imaginable so I ordered a 9 just to be safe. Wrong... the 9 was at minimum a half size too small if not more. Width was very narrow and it didn’t feel like my foot was seated in the boot and that it’d come out just walking around the house...let alone tromping through snow. Again so sad to return these as they are really stunning and super lightweight on the foot, high hopes but sadly disappointed.

These are extremely cheap boots. I ordered 2 pairs of different Baffin snow boots and was disappointed with both. Due to the quality these are more like $40-50 boots and here’s why. The photo is very deceiving. The material is very thin, not warm at all. I had on for 10 minutes in my house and they really hang onto the cold. I would also size up at least a half size, if you plan on wearing thick socks which I would obv recommend due to the temp issues than a full size. My toe was hitting the toe edge with thin socks. The sole seemed durable but was a little taller than I would like. Kind of like heels. And although the insole was cushiony it had a weird feeling to it, like loose and not adhered to the shoe well. Even if it’s removable it has a loose feeling within the shoe that shouldn’t be. The boot material is VERY thin and not adequately or at all insulated. The only plus and why I ordered was due to the shaft height of the boot and the drawstring to keep the snow out. I returned these boots for the reasons above. My reason for buying was to specifically walk in the woods in snow and in the winter. Hope this helps.

This boot felt like wearing a sock, and had about as much support. I had to return it. I liked the style, but I prefer a more structure in the foot and ankle.

After trying on at least a dozen winter boots these Baffin boots are by far the best for the following reasons: lightweight waterproof cinching at the top to keep snow from coming in cinching instead of shoelaces so no snow can come in the "tongue" area good soles warm flat (no heel) wide enough for your toes and a thick pair of socks I would definitely recommend these boots!

A gorgeous snow boot. Built in cinch obviates need for gaiter to keep the snow out when snowshoeing. Inserting your own arch-supporting insoles will make it a 5*+

Pros: stylish and super lightweight. Cons: flat flat flat footbed. Zero support. Shame.

Overall, very light and comfortable, as others have noted. I find myself reaching for them when I head outside, partly because they're very easy to put on. I do notice a little bit of the heel slipping that someone else mentioned, but not too bad. I probably wouldn't hike for miles in them, but they're comfortable enough for a mile or so. I'd note that the tops aren't super loose. As someone else mentioned, if you have pretty thick calves, you might run into trouble and want to size up a bit. I definitely have somewhat chunky calves and basically I'm at the max - no tightening the top needed. I just have room to tuck in my jeans. For those concerned about arch support, seems like it'd be pretty easy to replace with a different sole. Overall, a recommendation. Very well-made, very light, very warm.

These seem to be a great boot but they're running full size small. Beware!

Like other reviews, it made a funny cardboard bending sound when I walked which makes me feel like they were made poorly. One shoe also had bending in the structure along the ankle (Is it actually cardboard??) The stuffing inside was also poorly placed so it bunched up in the toe. Overall, not as well made as I had hoped.

I love these boots. They are extremely comfortable. So far though, I’ve only worn them in the house because I’m not sure if I’m going to keep them. With every step they make a sound as if I’m stepping on crunchy snow but I’m walking on carpet. They shouldn’t be making this noise. I am not sure if they will always make that sound? Or if it will go away after they’re worn in. So three stars due to the annoying noise but 5 stars for everything else.

Lovely, warm boots, they, however run extremely small. I had to order a full-size up in order to get my foot in. But there is room now and they fit like giant insulated slippers!

These boots are so nice! Normally I wear an 8.5. The 9 fit perfectly. Very comfortable and warm. Not too narrow, so there room for warm socks.

I went with a size 9 based on other reviews. Fit perfectly. I love the color and feel. Like wearing sleeping bags on your feet. Roomy enough for thicker socks if I want but warm enough without them. It was -10 in Massachusetts so the snow was more like crunchy ice, but with these boots, my feet were warm and I felt I had good traction. Love!

High quality product. Very comfortable, fits perfectly, soft and warm!

Reluctantly I am returning these boots, choosing a different pair that I ordered along with these. This pair is lightweight, great for traveling and are comfortable and stylish. A really great buy!
