I wear a 7.5 M and a 7.5 M fit perfectly. i have a narrow foot, but these still fit well. they are very comfortable. i will be able to wear a thick sock, i think. i may put an insole in for arch support, but i don’t know that it’s necessary. i haven’t worn them in the cold yet, but seem pretty toasty. Recommend.

They passed the test. I went for a long walk in the snow. Stayed warm and dry.

I have a short, wide foot and can wear a 6.5 wide or with medium widths, often wear 7.5. I bought a size 8 that was gigantic, my foot was swimming around. So I returned that and bought the 7 and it is perfect. The body of the boot feels like a down comforter and I went for a 45-minute walk in 12 degree F weather and my toes were kept warm. I am only disappointed that I waited so long to get new boots!

I normally run 9.5 - 10 and ordered 11 after reading some of the prior reviews. traded them back in for 10s and they are perfect fit. I've only been shoveling and tromping around the yard so far, but they are warm and dry and comfy so far. I love them !

This boot is light and warm. It also has a good sole to keep you up off the cold surface. If you have large calves, it might not fit well.

Love, Love, Love these boots. I ordered way too many pairs of snow boots to try and these were the pair I ended up liking best. Many of the snow boots felt stiff, more like hiking boot but these boots feel more like slippers. I've worn them sledding twice and for a few neighborhood walks and my feet were warm and comfortable. The only strange thing is the main drawstring is very long and would drag on the ground if I let it hang free. I just stuff it into the top of my boot at it works fine. If you're looking for a warm, soft boot, buy this one!

I am still deciding on these boots. I have been searching high and low for mid-height, lightweight winter boots that I can walk long distances in, and these seem to fit the bill with a few caveats. For reference, I have the Baffin Chloe boots, which are MUCH more substantial and insulated, but still relatively lightweight, and I love them. However, they feel very laborious to walk more than a mile in them - so that is why I bought these Escalate boots. Both of these Baffin boots (Escalate and Chloe) have a Baffin "Tundra rating" of 3, which I find hard to believe that Escalate can be compared to Chloe. I wore the Escalate boots in about 3" of snow in 28 degrees and my feet were definitely getting chilly even with thick Smartwool socks - especially in the heel area, which has zero insulation. I made sure to keep walking around and it helped. If you are just standing around with little to moderate activity, your feet may begin to feel cold in these boots. The Chloe boots can be used for standing around, but NOT the Escalate! I did not experience any moisture or dampness in the boots (but I haven’t yet worn them in deep snow). The traction is not super-duper, so I would definitely wear YakTraks if walking in icy areas. I usually wear a size 7 in Baffin, so I ordered a 7 and they fit just a “smidge” smaller, but not bad at all. The left boot is quite comfortable, but my big toe feels a bit tight in the right boot. I think this is due to the insulation bunching up a bit in the right toe box. Another review had mentioned this, and yes, it's an issue. I experienced bunching of insulation in both toe boxes, but the left boot resolved, while the right boot has not yet resolved. Another review had mentioned the lower cinch cord being way too long when cinched, but this is easily remedied by bringing it up and around your calf and tucking it into the back of the boot. I also have to do this with the Baffin Chloe boots. I like that these boots have a rounded toe and not tightly narrow and elongated – which was the problem with other similar styles (like Sorel Whitney). I hate sizing up, as boots start to look clownish and big – I’d rather stick to my size range (6.5 – 7). Baffin fits this bill as well – I never have to size up in this brand. The biggest thing for me is the bunching of the insulation … I am going to give it a bit more time and hopefully with a few more wears, the right boot will resolve. Overall, I think this boot is a good choice if you are looking for a lightweight winter boot that you can comfortably wear for extended periods of time and walk long distances in without your legs feeling fatigued.

Size was too small Even going up a half size

Decent boots, but there didn't seem to be much support at all. I returned them.

Warm and very light weight! Almost kept these, but returning because they felt a little big. I’m an 8.5 and ordered 9 (the 8 would have been snug). They are nylon/waterproof but we have some buckthorn/prickly ash on our land and I don’t want to risk tearing in addition.

They look like great boots but way too small. I wear an 8/12 - ordered a nine and could barely fit my feet in to try them.

I normally use a size women's 6, so I ordered a size 7, to be able to use heavy socks. With a pair of light socks on, my toe was right up to the end, size 8 would of worked or even eight and a half. The only positive-the ease to process and print documents to return item, for a refund.

It was a shorter boot and much less stylish than shown but looks like it will be warm so I’ll keep it. The picture evoked a much taller and stronger appearance.

I have to return them. My daughter couldn’t get her foot into them. The upper of the boot doesn’t spread well above the heel

I LOVE THE LOOK OF THESE BOOTS BUT MY TOES GO RIGHT UP TO THE BOOT TOE CAUSING PAIN

Loved the look and comfort of these boots BUT the super soft lining didn’t allow for socks to be worn with them. The inside slid down with the foot and the back of the heel material got bunched up. Too much time and effort was needed to put them on. This needed to be a side zip boot for the lining to work with socks. I’m bummed to have to return them

The person I ordered these for tried them on, or more like tried to try on, and asked me in alarm if I had ordered a children’s size. We’re a family of Baffin product users, and we have never had a pair of boots be so small as to be unable to put the full boot on. Clearly they were returned, but fair warning, the fit is entirely out of the norm for Baffin.

This would be great for someone with a very very very narrow foot

These were not at all waterproof. Feet got soaked in first snow.

These boots are terrible. There is no support of any kind, they are not warm, and they are a full size smaller than marked.

Such a lack of arch support the footbed felt shoddy--a horrible fit for me. Returned without question. If a solid foot bed isn't an issue for you, the style is great.
