Too tight in the calf area. Can’t zip. I am a walker and do leg workouts, but my calves are not overly large.

I bought a pair of La Canadienne Jenny boots back in September of 2010. I love them, and still wear them. They fit my 9.5 AA foot perfectly, and look great. But they're getting old, and I really wanted a new pair of similar boots to replace them. I was hoping the La Canadienne Jennifer would be a close match, but unfortunately it's not. The leather is high quality, but the boots fit all wrong -- and the styling has been changed to a rounded toe box that doesn't look nearly as nice as the squared-off toe box of the Jenny. I'm so disappointed to have to return these. La Canadienne, please bring back the Jenny boot!

I love the style of this boot and I have owned many La Canadienne boots over the years because of their superior craftsmanship and durability. They are wonderfully waterproof, provide excellent arch support and are quite stylish. I would have given this pair top rating across the board, except that for some reason the horizontal seam that circles the top of the boot is strangely prominently visible in a way that it is not in other similarly styled boots I own. there is no exterior stitching, but you can clearly see the bump/change in thickness where the leather and the interior lining meet inside the boot from the outside so upper part of the boot does not appear as smoothly as I would like. But the heel and rest of the boot is so great I decided to keep this pair anyway. Sorry I can't attach a photo right now but I can send one later if possible

Such a bummer! I absolutely love the look of these boots. But, like the others who have written reviews, the ankle and calf are way too tight. I never need to purchase extended calf in my boots. Sadly I have to return them.

Love the look and feel of this boot but it was very tight. Would not have been able to get the thinnest of pants tucked into it. for the record, my calf is 14.5". It's made for skinnier legs!

The calf size was only 14”. The description states 15-1/2”. I’m 5’4” and weigh 138 pounds. My calves are what I would consider normal size at @14-1/2”. Love the boots, but couldn’t zip them all the way up. The size I ordered was 9 narrow.

The fit of these boots was fine, however, they have scuff marks at the toes, sides and a smudge on the suede on the top of one of the boots. I looked at the bottom of the heel and someone has previously worn these. Disappointed that Zappos would send me a scuffed set of boots.
