My son tried on three pairs of shoes, including a Johnson & Murphy pair. Florsheim wins again. They look great, but I knew that would be true. My son wore them yesterday for several and actually said they were "comfortable". That's big for a kid who lives in sneakers.

Color: Brown/Red Size: 7.5. These almost fit but a bit too large for me. High quality, very comfortable, sorry to return them.

I SOOO wanted to love these. They are stylish. They insoles are soft and flexible. But they might be a bit too flexible and soft for the type of hiking I will be doing. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I need something more rugged and perhaps with a more firm outsole. These do run about 1/2 size large in my opinion. I am a 9.5 and the 9.5 were pretty loose, even with thicker socks. I do think these could accommodate a wider foot, my foot is wider (though I do not wear a wide) and it was not squished. I returned these because I just was not confident they would stand up to hard core hiking. They would be fantastic for lighter hiking or even everyday use if you are outdoors in a wet/rainy climate.

If you actually want suede do not get these boots - the description is inaccurate. My husband has worn these boots for years and they have changed it from actual textured suede to some sort of hideous patterned as suede smooth leather they are still describing as suede.

I can wear a 9.5 most of the time. Wanted larger boots for winter so I got these Danners in a 10. They felt more like a 9 or even smaller in the toe box. Loved the look and etc...but these should come in a wide size at least.

I usually wear an 8.5 and this is what I got in this shoe. Was generally comfy - I often have issues with arches bothering my but these vibram soles were very comfy. The notch behind the heel/Achilles is a very nice feature to prevent run going downhill. They didn't work for me around the ankle - after hiking a few miles in them, they actually hit my ankle so much that I got swelling. It was really quite painful and I altered my gait to avoid the contact, which was also bad for my joints. I returned them.

I was so excited to get these shoes. Unfortunately they are very stiff and rubbed my ankles raw.
