Was surprised at how light they were. I walk an average of 7 miles a day at work and these boots needed no break-in time, after 9 hours at work I wasn't rushing to take them off like the other brands I'd tried, will be buying another pair.

Goldilocks! As a former army soldier, I have been through a lot of boots in my professional and private life. If you were looking for a pair of boots that are as comfortable as tennis shoes, but give you the support of hiking boots, are plenty warm outside in the winter, but wont be too hot inside, these are it! Im not sure I have ever owned a pair of boots that have done everything so well and they held up great. I just bought my second pair because while the first ones were still functional after almost 10 years of hard use, I wanted a fresh pair to wear out to dinner etc. Both pictured side by side below.

Upon receiving the boots, I hiked several mountain trails around Tucson and Phoenix. These hiking boots were comfortable right out of the box. Would definitely purchase another pair.

Comfortable right out of the box. I bought these for a trip to Zion. Put on a number of slightly wet/snowy miles and they were great. This is not a negative, but I thought the leather would be smooth, instead, it was more like suede or soft leather. Mine didnt really look like the picture.

Great boots and extremely comfortable. However the sole seems to be showing signs of wear already and it's only been a few months, a bit disappointing for the price point.

I was looking for mid height boot that featured soft leather , great support and a soft sole that felt great walking. I also wanted a boot that was easy to put on and lace up. So far this boot fits the bill. The only thing I dont know is how durable the boot is. The vibram sole appears to be durable. Time will tell. If the boot lasts more then a year or two, it will be worth the extra money.

I bought these for my father in law who has issues with fallen arches and flat feet. He LOVES them and they provide the support he needs and are comfy like sneakers. I personally own two pairs myself. GREAT boots.

Definitely not breathable. My feet sweat more in this boot than any other boot Ive owned

Super all day comfort

This is my 3rd pair. Im a railroader and walk on gravel all day. These hood up better than any other boot that I have tried and they are comfortable!!! They will stay waterproof for most of the life of the boot when treated correctly. The danner spray is what I use. Great for people with wide feet as well!

Love them, just what I was looking for.

I love these boots! I needed a new pair of boots for daily use that would cover the gap between tennis shoes and all out winter boots. I looked at every possible boot that would fit this need and kept coming back to Danner. I have used Danner boots for upland hunting for close to 15 years and those have always been a lifesaver for my feet so I figured these would be a safe bet. I couldn't be happier! For me, they were comfortable right out of the box. Also, these boots have garnered the most compliments (by far!) of any footwear I have owned, so they look great too!

i 'v e had these for a year: used them for trailrunning, hiking, snow shoeing, and going to the office. They are the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever owned, and at age 73 I have owned a few. no signs of wear or tear either

Don't take the title the wrong way. I love these boots. The boots were all day comfortable right out of the box. My first pair of non-military hiking boots weighed 3# each 50 years ago, these are barely noticeable. The anti-roll stability of this boot is outstanding. I have tried to roll over my ankles (notoriously weak) and haven't been able to, even intentionally. These boots will take me anyplace I am inclined to go at 70.

I really liked these when I first got them, but the leather wore quickly. The leather is scuffed and looks horrible and I have only worn these casually a few times per week.

To be fair, I just got these boots today, but they are by far the best fitting new boots I've ever worn. Being full grain leather, I expected a bit of time for breaking them in...no problem with that...but these fit like a glove right out of the box, and are unbelievably comfortable - with no break in! Count me in as a Danner fan!

Love these boots. Have hundreds of trail miles on them and even more street miles. Super comfy and still look great after all these miles. Can't recommend them enough.
