Really want to love them. I’ve been wearing them for almost a year from Alaskan Tundra to Canyonlands & Zion slot canyons and I have to agree with others. There’s no way these are 5E. Not a chance. I’ve several pairs of Brooks Adrenaline in 4E and they’re soooo much wider and better fitting. Guess it’s back to Merrels again.

These are supposed to be 5E and are nowhere near it. Squashed toes!

Bought these for my husband. Run small and very narrow. Ended up going with the 5E, he normally wears 3E and wears a 15 but they were too small.

Overall, I like this brand. Was very happy with the fit of the low cut ridge walker so I want to get the mid-size model for when I hike steeper and rougher trails. It was disappointing the the width of this model was a bit more narrow than the low cut style.

The size is accurate. I have a very wide foot but the 4E width worked well for me. They are well made and seem like they would be very durable. They are great in the snow and rain. Definitely waterproof. One big complaint. After wearing about 15 minutes they cause me major foot pain. I tried sole inserts, but they did nothing to alleviate the pain. Such a shame as they were otherwise ideal snow boots.

i use orthotics,so not sure re arch support..this is 2nd pair of Propet ive tried..both felt more narrow than XW

Shoe itself was fine in terms of material and construction. However, no meaningful test applied as I did little more than try on and return. No way this was a valid 5E in width. Felt little if any different from a standard EE.

to narrow, i ordered 5e and seem maybe like 4e. the toe box is way to narrow. am thinking i maybe need a 7e or 9e.

Got these in the widest style. I’m usually a 15 4e but people said these team narrow. It was still way too narrow. A little frustrating, since there are so few brands catering to large, extra wide feet, and it seems like maybe this brand doesn’t actually have the very wide shoes they say they do. :./

Very uncomfortable. Heavy. I like the New Balance 978's much better.

Good for Hiking

I purchased the size US 11.5. The Ridge Walkers are a nice pair of boots. But they aren't really 5E width. They are about the width of my Lowa Renegade Wide size which I out grew.

Decent boots, nothing special but you can expect that from the price. Mine showed up with an annoying "scrunch" in the inside fabric above the big toe of the right boot, which is incredibly annoying and impossible to work out (it is stitched such that I can't flatten it). Seems to be a defect, but that speaks to the quality of the workmanship.

I really wanted to like this shoe but it runs small so I had to return it and look elsewhere.

These shoes are tight. I recently changed orthotics and was looking forward to trying in these shoes. No matter what, they are tight. I already wore them outside or I would return them.

Decent shoe for a low price but they are not very good looking.

Ordered two different pairs, 1st pair the left shoe was much narrower than the right. The second pair both shoes were narrow. These are no where near a normal 5E width.

Many reviewers mentioned a problem with the shoe's width. I should have listened! My feet take a EEE width and the sole does seem to be correct, but the uppers are another story. The box toe is very stiff and was actually painful with the kind of heavy sock one might wear on a hike. With the lightest socks I have the shoes were just uncomfortable. Perhaps with time the shoes would break-in, but I did not want to endure the discomfort so I returned them. One thing I will say is that the Zappos return policy and customer service is really outstanding!

I returned these because they seemed a little small, my toes felt a little scrunched.

I have wide feet, these boots are marked 5E and these are not wide, will try sketchers boots.

I've worn other Propet shoes before all in 11 5E so that was the size I ordered for these boots. They ran way smaller than other Propet shoes. My feet are very wide and the width on the sides and toes were too tight. I returned the 11s and went a full size larger, 12 5E, and they fit relatively well. I also have a high instep and as a result the laces were essentially too short, so I needed to buy a longer set. Now that I have the 12s I'm very happy with them... go bigger!
