Love these! Got them for work at a grocery store where I'm standing all day. The first time I wore them it was a bit uncomfortable and my feet ached only after a couple hours but after wearing them more, breaking them in, and letting my feet adjust to the new shoes, they feel great! I ordered a size 6 and I usually wear about a 6.5-7 depending on the brand. They have a tiny bit of extra room which is good as my feet may swell throughout the day. I love that the leather is not completely smooth, makes them feel more rustic. Mine came in a Doc Marten box and they had no scuffs or scrapes at all. :) Also pro tip: if you're a student or teacher you can tell Zappos and they'll give you a 10% discount on all orders! (just look up "Zappos student/teacher discount")

I wear a US women's 9 and the UK 6 in these fits great, with plenty of room, so they run larger than you'd think if you weren't familiar with Doc's fit. The Gaucho is really pretty, these shoes have nice padding in the footbed. I compared these with the double zip and these were more comfortable. I am returning only because I decided I need to hold out and wait for the black. I have hallux limitus (a stiff big toe joint) and these were pretty good for me as is, and they would have been even more perfect with an added slim arch support.

I love them! My feet are narrow, and unfortunately Doc Marten's doesn't make narrow sizes, so they are loose side to side and around my heel. I plan to get an additional insole to help make the shoes more snug. But overall, super comfortable and stylish.

Just ran through my first pair of Dr. Martens (the classic black lace up 8 eyelet boot), which I wore for 2 years almost every day. This chelsea boot is stylie, sturdy but lightweight, and pretty lovable. First day wearing them I got several complements.. broke them in during an 8 hour serving shift and my feet were feeling fine! I run between a women's 6.5 and a 7 and decided to order the size 7. It's a little roomy, so if you have petite feet or are between sizes you might be able to size down on this boot. The only thing that was cause for hesitation is the shape of the boot: tiny little ankles and a large, clunky main body of the boot. It makes the clunkiness a little more pronounced (because the boot emphasises the smallness of your ankle) and probably makes this chelsea boot a little less versatile style-wise than a traditional lace-up. The chelseas look best with pants cuffed just above the top of the boot. I also made them work with a long black pencil skirt and a cropped tshirt kind of ensemble. The antiqued blue is very subtle, a sort of blue-black and is tastefully done. I was worried that the "distressed look" might come off a like silly, but I certainly didn't feel that way once I saw them out of the box. All and all, five stars for these boots. I really dig them.

These are my new favorite boots! Totally comfy, and I could wear them all day on the first day. They don't have the typical break in time that I've experienced with lace up docs. I absolutely love the blue finish. I get compliments every time I wear them.

Very nice boot. My first pair of slip on boots, they are narrow around the neck of the boot but the pull tabs wrk well to make sure you can get them on. Once the were my feet, the boots were very spacious and comfortable even w thicker socks. I originally wanted the black boots but they sold out in my size so this was my second choice. I had to order a size 7 I usually wear an 8

I wanted a pair of Blundstones, but they did not fit my feet. These provide the same benefits, actually fit and were cheaper. I have been wearing them for the past two weeks and they are starting to really form to my foot and loosen up a bit. If you have wider feet be warned as these fit my narrow foot with little room to spare, especially in the arches. The brown leather is also wonderful. Wish they made a pair in black without the signature yellow stitching.

I typically wear a women’s 7 or 7.5. This was way too big in these boots. I ended up with a US sz 5 which fit perfectly, even with a heavier sock. I love these boots, but sizing is an issue. I have two other doc martens, Oxford style. They are about 12 years old and still fabulous. I did not have the sizing issue with my black pair, but I did have the sizing issue with my red pair.

Takes a couple wears to break in, but after that they’re super comfy!

Overall, the boots are stylish, look good with jeans or leggings and lightweight. They fit mostly true to size.

These are amazing. I ended up rounding up (since I’m a 9.5) and ended up having to reorder down to a 9. Even the 9 is very roomy. But once I found my size, I couldn’t love them more. I found them very easy to get on. The seem did run my inner ankle the first time I wore them, but I just went home, put on two pairs of thick socks, wore them like that for a day, and then they were stretched out and fine. I ordered my 3.5 yr old a matching pair, and we have gotten so many compliments. Love them!

You can never go wrong with Dr. Martens, last forever perfect for walking around all day, my last pair lasted 6 years that is some bang for your buck always get complements when i wear them if you are on your feet all day these are the shoes for you

I get a US size 6, and the fit has been consistent across 3 pairs of Docs. I was on the fence about these, and only ordered because Zappos didn’t have my size in the 1460 style. I love these! They give a lot of support and are also a little dressier for work (I’m a school social worker in a public school). I’ll probably still order the 1460 when they’re back in stock, but am so glad I ended up with these too. I am really picky about shoes, but Docs are never a disappointment!

The shoe is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Same feel as my old shoes. However, there was an issue with shipping. The shoes were not wrapped in paper for protection and scuffed up during shipping when jostled around. I let Customer Support know, and they gave me a discount towards another purchase. Zappos Customer Support is most excellent.

They are heavy but not so much that I'll return them. They were a beast to break in (took about 1.5 weeks of daily wear with blisters and bruises, oh my) but comfy now. I appreciate the slip resistance so much!

got these in the navy blue color, which is very pretty. these are especially great because they have a removable insole, which allows me to swap out for my holy grail insole! they are stiff, like all docs are, but after about 3 full days of wear, begin to become one with your foot. the front ankle part is the least comfortable part, but softens up beautifuly. i find this par to be the truest to 'normal' doc sizing and width, which is a bit roomy but the most comfortable. allows you to wear super squishy and thick socks.

Excellent boot. I have small ankles and a wide ball, making Chelsea boots a bit hard to find that fit properly. These seem to do the trick. I usually wear a size 12, and I ordered a size 12 US and they fit great. Also, the Gauncho leather looks awesome. It is kind of rustic, but I think if I oiled it up it would have a very nice rich color to it as well.

Got these for my husband. He absolutely loved them, comfortable out of the box. he actually had a small problem with the heel, it was clicking when he walked sometimes. I contacted Zappos, they immediately refunded my money and said I could throw them away or give them away, I bought another pair that were exactly the same. unbelieveable unparalled customer service-Thank you Zappos!!. new boots are fantastic!

These were a Christmas gift and I love them!! One of the most comfortable pair of boots I have owned DESPITE how sturdy and durable they are. Very satisfied!

Usually not one to write reviews but this shoe is so great I had to! I have wider feet and often have to worry about the width of the toe being too narrow for me. The first time I slipped these babies on they fit like a glove. I did not feel like I had to break them in, I wore them for the whole day without any complaints. I got them in Gaucho, which naturally wears down and appears lighter in spots that bend (i.e. around my ankle) or when I scuff the boot. I like the rugged look, but for some they may prefer a more clean look in which case I'd suggest a different color.

This is my first pair of Dr.Martens and I am in love! They are a little stiff at first, but once they break in they are so comfy and stylish! Even though they fit properly, they appear a little wider than my other shoes. The rubber sole makes they a little more casual than similar boots, but that was something I was looking for.

The product itself is great, it's the size that's way off. I'm normally an 8 1/2, and these claim to be a women's 8, but they are way too big - like by a thumb or bigger. Too bad, it's a beautiful boot...

My previous casual Doc Marten chelseas lasted for years, and were understandably beat to hell--yet they held up. When the soles finally got a little too thin it was time to replace them. These boots have a narrower ankle, but over time, they conform to your shape and general use. I often forget I have them on. Love these. Keep making them, Doc!
