Can't go wrong with north face

I've been looking to upgrade my old NF softshell, which started to show some wear after 15 years of frequent use (is that all? :-D). The lining was finally feeling stiff after so much use. So this new upgrade is exactly what wanted! They replaced most of the inside with a softer, fuzzier lining, which makes this jacket extremely comfortable and warm. Still the same (or better) windproofing and water resistance, still great for lots of outdoor activity. While it feels heavy when you put it on, I've found that it really isn't cumbersome or overly hot. I've been using it casually, like when we sit by our firepit. Feels comfy without making you all sweaty. If I was still living in Chicago, riding my bike during early spring and fall, it would be perfect. Note: Some people miss the breast pocket, but that's no deal-breakerthis still deserves 5 stars!

Love the look. It's warmer than I thought it would be, great for 40s-50s. A little short in the arms but not too bad and I'm 6'4. Maybe a "tall" size, NorthFace?

It looks great on everything, lightweight and fits great. No zip on the inside of the jacket but I don't use it. Great for wear during fall weather

I got this jacket for lightweight fall, not quite winter use. It's quite a bit warmer than I expected and will last me further into the cold season without needing a bigger, bulkier winter coat. I'm super pumped about this purchase.

This jacket is perfect as a medium weight jacket. On the bitter cold mornings to the mid day warm ups, it provides excellent comfortable from the cold, wind, and rain. I would highly recommend
