I'll wear this all during winter, but the bottom is just a couple inches short. The sleeves are a bit long too. It still works though. Actually, it isn't too long on the sleeve or too short in the waist to make it uncomfortable or ugly.

I thought it would be a little bit softer on the inside.

I was looking for a super lightweight "shell" to take on a trip to a place where it will be humid - warm but rainy. This is NOT a shell. It is a warm, thick material. Not lined, but the material itself is quite thick so the jacket is heavier than what you would want for just keeping dry in the rain. It is hard to tell from the description.

I wanted a lightweight jacket to visit New Zealand next month (June), something that could keep out the wind and light rain, and that I could roll up and throw in a rucksack. This fits the bill, I went for a 3XL as I am a big guy and was able to layer underneath it. It is a big jacket even for me, but am happy with how it looks on. The only immediate downside is that there are no cuff adjusters on the sleeves. Other than that, I can give an "in use" review when I get back.

For all of you out there that are still longing for the original Apex Bionic with the velco wrist closures and the embroidered logos, they are still available, and usually for $90-100. Just picked one up from a big box sports and outdoors retailer. Just do a little searching. I read a lot of the mediocre reviews about the new style and decided to find the older version. Found it, got the original features everyone loved, and saved $50!

Really nice jacket. People complaining about non-embroidered logos are being petty. The lack of velcro to adjust the sleeves is a little annoying and a weird omission, but this is still a great product. It will work very well as a ski softshell, unlike the Pneumatic, which was very light and flimsy (like a raincoat). This jacket is also very stylish -- I would strongly recommend the asphalt gray.

I like the design, the color and how it feels when I wear the jacket. I don't like that the sleeves are a bit too long. It does not bother me too much.

I am 5' 7" and weigh 160 lbs. I went with a medium. Fit is good, though the sleeves are a touch long. Because there are no closures on the sleeves, I roll them back to keep them from covering my hands. I would have preferred a more athletic fitting jacket as I was between a medium and small. Otherwise, this is a truly excellent midweight jacket. Great at blocking wind and does repel water, though I haven't been caught in a torrential downpour. The jacket is good down to mid-low 30 degree weather, any colder and I prefer my down coat.

At 6'9" this jacket fits well with sleeves that go well past my wrists though I could use an extra 1/2"-1" of length in the body. XL size is too bulky but the T size is too tight, a more tapered fit would be nice. Overall a good jacket though.

I love this jacket, very comfortable, stretches with your movement. North Face is getting cheap, the logos are not stitched as in the past, they are merely stamped in rubber and look cheap! I buy North Face since I like their styles but I expect the old school quality. I wish they would offer more in extended sizes. Since many styles I like only come in 2x I am often forced to buy Columbia! Come on North Face quit cutting corners and stitch your logos! Please offer more choices and sizes in the extended size department even if by special order and you will add to your sales!

My husband hates a heavy jacket even when it is cold, so he loves this. It's lightweight but still provides some warmth and blocks the cold wind completely.

This was a good jacket. The color seems a little off from the computer screen but ultimately a nice shade of brown.

Not too heavy, but protects from cold and windy weather. Stylish, minimalist. I really liked this jacket.
