I saw the jacket for a great price and when I saw it on clearance I hoped on it asap! The jacket is a double later jacket so you can wear one or the other or both together and it is made excellently. If they had it in black I would buy it again in a heart beat.

I bought this product for 2 purposes: winter wear with the liner Cruise to Alaska where the weather could be cold or mild - the zip out liner could be removed for milder wet weather.

The outer coat is great for the snow and the under jacket that comes with it feels and looks great for both the outdoors and casual wear

Just the jacket I was looking for!! I needed a jacket which was water resistant, wind resistant, warm and durable. The Polar is gives the exact amount of warmth I wanted for cold nights in the city as well as for cold weathers when I use it as a complete jacket on my hiking trips. Wind and water cant get through even if I had a fan and a waterhose pointing at me at full throttle! Simply perfect for my needs.

I like the jacket, but the zipper is clearly defective -- it simply won't zip up or down without much difficulty. In fact, it eventually tore a large hole in the jacket lining.

The zipper was basically non-functional and eventually ripped a hole in the lining.

This was a gift to my father. He liked the fact that this is a two piece product: one he can wear under the motorbike jacket and the other he can wear when he takes out the jacket. He was very happy with this product.

I ordered another jacket and it was too big, returned a big medium and got a small which was perfect, and so I just ordered a small and it fits great. I think the liner jacket is a little thinner than i expected, but the biggest thing is sometimes if you hand gets bunched in the end of the sleeve where the liner jacket snaps in to the outer one, it can unsnap and whip you... stung a little, so now i certainly take more time with the sleeves. I do like this, it is just a little lighter than i expected, but very very warm

I mainly use this product to keep warm during windy or wet weather days. It's also a great jacket to bring hiking or camping due to its warmth but also dual layered system that can separate if I need to wear less at any time.

I have been rather disappointed and frustrated in the Men's Arrowood Triclimate Jacket for three very specific reasons. First, while the fleece inner liner does provide some warmth (though not as much as you'd think), this particular fleece is "draggy". It pulls on your shirtsleeves as you put on the jacket, bunching up the sleeves and making even the process of donning the jacket uncomfortable. Because the fleece arms are so tight and drags so badly, this jacket cannot be used for an "easy on/easy off" jacket. You quickly learn that that, once you put that jacket on, it's going to stay on. It's just too difficult to put on/take off quickly. Secondly, the cut of the sleeves of the fleece liner are for a very skinny-armed person. They are too small, fit too tightly, and cause the jacket to be uncomfortable. I will note that the jacket is the correct size overall - the arms are too tight (I"m not that muscular!) Third, the zipper, which is uncovered in the front, has a rather short "backing" (I don't know the technical term - placket, maybe?) behind it, which causes it to get caught in the small teeth of the zipper. The snags can be quite aggravating. The craftsmanship is great - as would would be expected from The North Face. It is waterproof. It is mostly windproof, although I was surprised in a somewhat raw, 45 degree, windy day in Venice that the wind was coming through the jacket providing more of a chill than expected. The light weight is deceptive - it is a bit warmer than what you might think but not suitable for very cold conditions. I had intended to use the jacket as a ski jacket. The small zipper (and it's rather small pull tab) make it a poor choice for that (you can't grab the tiny pull tab with gloves on). The narrow cut of the fleece liner makes it hard to get the jacket on and off, and even more difficult to layer other clothes underneath. I would not buy this model again.

I was out purchasing waterproof shoes for my wife when we came across this jacket. We are going on a trip to London, so this jacket should be perfect. I love that it is lightweight but keeps me warm. It's zip in compatible so I was able to zip in my Denali jacket. My wife liked the jacket so we bought her one too.

I bought this coat for my son who lives in Michigan. He had to call and tell me it was raining and it was 28 degrees out and he couldn't feel a thing! He was so excited about this coat. He told me I couldn't have found a better gift!

I was so excited for this jacket. Love the colors and the look. First impression was it felt a bit restrictive, unlike one of the down-filled jackets I have that is not waterproof. Another feature I really appreciate with my down-filled jacket are the inner pockets, which I use to keep my phone and wallet sometimes when downtown in touristy areas known for pic-pockets. Sleeves pretty long, but can be tightened with velcro straps. North Face has a tendency to fit pretty snug. I like a little more room. I will keep the jacket, but wish they would try to improve size standardization. I wear this size across many brands without any awkward sensation.

Personally, I've always loved The North Face. In school I never owned a jacket, but since my girlfriend got my into the jackets I bought one online. However after reading the reviews I decided to go with a XL. Got it the next day and it was too big. So went to the nearest store and exchanged the jacket for another in a Large. Since then everywhere I go mine is on. It fits perfectly, I don't get too hot and of course never get too cold. Due to the zipper going all the way up, it also shields your face from the weather. The only complaint I have is because it's longer (my fault) it restricts body movement to crouch, squat or in general pick things up. Either way, I love mine and plan to buy more.
