The jacket is much thinner than I thought it would be, but it has kept me plenty warm even on our nastiest of Northern Michigan days

Bought this for my boyfriend who needed a winter jacket. Looks awesome on and love the color! He can wear the jacket with the insert and the insert by itself. He never takes it off! Sleeves are a little long but the straps tighten so it fits fine with no problems doing regular everyday stuff in the jacket. Very stylish! Will purchase again. Myself and my family all have a north face and I have multiple of them!

I bought this jacket for my son for Christmas and he loves it! He has worn each jacket separately and then zipped them together to wear it to Lake Tahoe for New Years Eve.

I have several North Face jackets and all are very stylish and I always get remarks for them. They are the most comfortable, yet warm jackets I have. I wouldn't buy anything else. Had other brands and they cant compare to the high quality you make and continue to design.

This jacket is mostly to wear around the city for long walks and bike rides. It will also be used for some hiking in the mountains during the spring and fall months, but it is not warm enough for winter hikes. It's main purpose is to keep the rain out, and it appears to be very good for that.

Sleeve length is too long. Jacket is not true to fit. Usually wear a large but needed a medium

Windproof, water-proof and breathable. Great, I would prefer the main zipper to be two-way, i.e., that it can be also opened from the bottom. Add pockets to inside of outer shell. Add at least another pocket to outside of outer shell. Hood is difficult/awkward to adjust. Replace Velcro on end of sleeves with elastic.

Nice jacket; but not nearly warm enough for cold winter weather skiing

Only thing I would add is another button for the interior coat to attach to the exterior by the wrist. Other than that, excellent coat.

Much lighter than I expected, so I thought this would compromise warmth, but this was not the case. Hard to wear sleeved shirts (buttondowns) underneath because the sleeves get stuck in the fleece sleeves. Hood isn't insulated but I wear hats. Very stylish and I am very happy with my purchase

Great jacket! Love the colors available and the fit is just right. Only downside is that while the jacket is rated as "Warmest" and "Heavyweight", it is quite thin and I wouldn't consider it a 3 out of 3 in the "Warmest" category (more like a 2 out of 3). Still nicely made though.

The sleeves need two snaps to hold in the inner jacket.

Purchased this for my boy friend for his birthday it fit nicely but overall wasn't the best fit for him. He's not tall but has broad shoulders and the jacket was a bit long. This is described as "cardinal red" which to me means bright red, in person it was more of a brick red. He liked the color, I did not.

4/5 stars as the jacket was claimed to be "WARMEST" on the website specifications, but it is more realistically "WARM" at most.
While the fit and feel of the jacket is snug, this jacket in itself would perform well at temperatures upto 10 degrees C. Anything less, and you're going to start feeling the uncomfortable or cold despite the inner (thin) fleece layer.
A storm flap over the zipper would inspire more confidence, although the zipper is claimed to be water-proof and keeps out the wind flawlessly. The jacket itself seems heavy-duty enough to withstand a torrential downpour.
The snaps holding the inner fleece layer to the jacket tend to pop open when taking off the jacket especially if you've got additional layers inside.
Speaking of layers, for the size I got, it would be possible to only wear a light jacket inside, beyond which things would get stuffy fast.
The hood is not insulated, although the hood itself will provide excellent protection against rain.
So in conclusion, it's a great choice if the minimum temperatures you'd expect are going to be single digits Centigrade.
